Subject: LOV: Update Wednesday September 12, 1994
Status: R

Okay, okay, I can admit when I made a mistake. Debbie (the normal
Monday updater) said I missed on some of the conversations for
Monday's show. She looked at the tape again and wrote this down.

This is verbatim...taken DIRECTLY from the tape....
(in Angie's hospital room)
Angie: Do something for me.
Fake Jeremy: Sure. Anything.
Angie: Call our old friends.
Fake Jeremy: Our old friends?
Angie: You know, Joe and Ruth.
Fake Jeremy: Sure, Joe and Ruth.
Angie: And Erica. Please tell her how sorry I was to hear about Mona. Can
        you do that for me?
Fake Jeremy: Sure, consider it done. You rest now, and take good care of
        yourself. Sure, sure.
Charles: Thanks for coming...

And at the end....
Fake Jeremy: Alright, who the hell are Joe, Ruth and Erica??

Okay, so we got that cleared up :-) Now on to the Wednesday update.

Clay wants to talk to Cabot. There is nothing to discuss, Cabot says.
The board has expressed its wishes. Ava comes in. She tells them Momma
is in a semi-state of sahock. Isabelle asks if she's okay. She's fine.
Finding out she's getting all that money, Ava says, well, even SHE is
a little surprised. On behalf of her momma, Ava says, she accepts his
very generous offer. Is there anything she has to sign? Ava asks
happily.

Buck and Tess go to the bar. They see Curtis. Buck wants to leave.
Tess talks him into staying. Curtis tells them that he is worried
about Dinah Lee. Then why haven't you been to see her? Buck asks.

Gilbert (JillBear) goes to see Jeremy. Wake up, sleepy head. Jeremy
attacks JillBear (I LOVE this name, Jennifer!). The game is over,
Jeremy says.

What's the matter with you? JillBear asks Jeremy ig he has been
starving him. Why is he doing this? Jeremy asks. He's always wanted a
pet, JillBear says. I'm not visiting you, JillBear tells Jeremy, I AM
you - at least to all your friends. What do you want? Jeremy
asks. EVERYTHING YOU HAVE, JillBear says. But, he says, he'll give
Jeremy something in return. JillBear wants to give Jeremy hatred,
bottomless, eat-you-up hatred. And before he is done, Jeremy will feel
it all.

Clay says that Lady Alden Soap may have started the company, but it is
not worth 49 percent of the company now. Ava mentions that Cabot said
restitution, not payment. Cabot says Clay is doing exactly what his
father did...trying to cheat someone out of what is due them. Cabot
says the papers are at the office, and he doesn't see any reason her
signature wouldn't be as good as her mother's. Kate enters, and tells
Cabot thanks, but no thanks.

Buck tells Curtis that Dinah Lee had a a stroke, they're saying the
damage may be permanant. Buck and Tess sit down. Buck says that he
stays awake nights going over everything he did...trying to figure out
what went wrong. Well, Tess suggests there was somethig wrong with the
engine. But, the mechanic checked out the plane pre-flight, Buck says,
it was perfect, and then there is the gague that shows if there is
anything wrong with the engine. The mechanic wouldn't miss that,
too. Tess asks if he thinks anyone tampered with the plane.

The NTSB is investigating the crash, Buck says. Curtis tells someone
he is upset about the crash, and he leaves. Buck appologizes to Tess
for driving everyone crazy with all this talk about engine failure.
Tess says so what went wrong? Buck says that he's not sure. Maybe he
should have listened to Trucker. If he hadn't gone up there, Dinah Lee
and Trucker would be together now. Can't he find something else to
blame himslef for? Tess asks if he ever got mail addressed to someone
else. Buck says what does that have to do with anything? Well, maybe
it was a letter for that lady, telling her she won the lottery and
she'd never find out otherwise. You cost her millions of dollars. See,
you can't take all the blame! Tess says.

Jeremy says what was the family suppose to DO? They were told he was
dead! JillBear tells Jeremy that he was his twin. He should have FELT
that he was still alive. JillBear is upset that Jeremy let him
fall. He could have saved him, but JillBear says Jeremy saved himslef
instead.

Ava tries to turn Kate around to accept the money. Kate makes a case
about not having much, and about growing up about without. She turns
the money down. Kate suggests that Cabot set up a fund at the church
in her father's name. Nothing for her? Cabot asks. Well, she's a
pushover for red roses, and he's already handled that. Well, a few
dozen more won't hurt, Cabot says. Kate goes to leave, Ava tries one
more time to get her to not say "NO". They leave. Clay says he never
knew how strongly Cabot felt for her family. Clay says if Cabot had
come to Clay instead of Cooper when he got back, this could have been
handled without all the hoopla. Well, Cabot says he went to Cooper
since he didn't think Clay would change his ways - maybe he was wrong.

Ava goes to the ATM machine. She wants $20...no, make it $200, no why
not $2000...no $200,000...the machine starts beeping. JillBear asks
why an heiress like her is at a cash machine. She should OWN the bank.
She doesn't own anything, Ava sighs. JillBear tells her he
understands. Ava is surprised that JillBear understands. He has never
needed in his life. Well, he can imagine, JillBear says. She tells him
about growing up on the wrong side of the tracks and watching the
haves while being a have-not. JillBear sympathizes and Ava says he
really does understand.

Cabot, Isabelle, and Clay are at the diner. Deborah comes in, hoping
that she is not too late. Cabot tells Deborah and Clay that tomorrow
they will be co-owners of Ralph's diner. What is this, punishment?
Clay asks. Isabelle says he never mentioned Deborah in this. Well, she
is in need of income, Cabot says, and and even if the marriage is
null, they need to deal with her. Clay says that he HATES this
woman. Well, Cabot says, he's hoping Clay will take his rage out on
her instead of Cooper. Clay and Isabelle leave. Deborah starts to sing
When you're down and out, and nothing is going right. Clay socks her
with a pie.

Tess asks where Buck's smile is. What is there to smile about? Tess
tells him soemthing, and Buck tells her she is the only one that could
sya that (I missed it, Debbie missed it).

Curtis is in a bathroom. He remembers Buck at the crash site telling
him that Janie is dead, and then that Dinah Lee had a stroke, and it
could be permanant damage. Curtis takes a lot of pills out of the
bottle. He looks at them.
