				LOVing Update
			    Tuesday, September 6th, 1994

Today's episode finds us with 3 storylines:

Bone Marrow update	with Angie and Charles
No Money Honey Girl	with Kate, Ava, Alex, Casey, Ally and Deborah
JillBear with Jeremy! as Gilbert and Jeremy
Plus ... One year ago

[Bone Marrow update]

Charles comes to visit Angie in the hospital. Angie is looking much
better today than she did yesterday and Charles is relieved. Angie gives
him the new rule: no more discussing medical problems! They smooch.

Alex and Kate come to visit bringing Angie some lovely flowers. Kate
starts to ask about the treatment when Charles lets them know about Dr.
Hubbard's latest rule. :) Alex thinks it's funny not to talk about a
blue elephant when you're staring right at it. Funny says Angie, I don't
see any blue elephants! (Must be an inside joke for the writers. Now if
Alex had said RATS that would have been another story.) So Charles
mentions to Kate that owning 49% of Alden Enterprises should make her a
happy lady. She moans and tells him that she won't talk about Angie's
medical problems if *he* won't mention Cabot Alden. They laugh and end
the pleasant little visit.

Now Angie and Charles are alone, and Charles reaches over to give her a
nice long kiss as he cradles her in his arms in the hospital bed. In
walks Angie's doctor ... Excuse me, could we break it up in here? I'd
like to talk to you ... Charles hardly lifts his head ... Sorry Doc, no
medical talk in here ... Mmmm, must be new hospital rules ... Yep, Dr.
Hubbard rules ... OK, I guess I'll just have to share this good news with
somebody else. ... Angie smiles and pushes Charles off of her. Frank the
Doctor tells Angie that her bone marrow transplants look to be a success.
He just checked her cell counts and they are up already. Angie asks if
he wants to share some numbers and he turns away smiling to tell her that
he doesn't discuss medical problems. Charles and Angie embrace again.

[No Money Honey Girl]

We open at Burnell's where Ally has come to visit Ava. Ava wants to take
her out to dinner and dancing to celebrate! Ally is there to ask for her
old job back. Ava tells her she should be registering for the fall
semester, but Ally says they need the money instead. Ava can't
understand why she'd say that with all the money they're going to have!

Casey enters and sweeps Ally away, saying they're going on a date. Ally
is flustered but happy. Casey has obviously taken one of his happy
pills. Casey is thumbing through a clothes rack and starts picking out a
dress for Ally. Ally is agahst when she sees a $2k price tag, and Casey
throws it away looking for something more expensive. He picks out some
dresses and ushers her breathlessly into a dressing room telling her to
go get naked! (Really, he said that!)

Deborah comes up and a cat fight with Ava ensues. Ava taunts Deborah,
mentioning that she saw the Alden limo outside full of luggage so that
means Deborah must be out on her ear. Deborah cautions not so fast, Ava.
Ava doesn't give in and tells Deborah that perhaps *she* will buy
Burnell's and hire Deborah! That's it, Deborah can be a sales person
with an occasional modelling bit. Very snidely, Ava rejects the idea
saying she'd have to hire someone with more experience than Deborah!

Unbeknownst to Ava, Alex and Kate have entered to hear the tail end of
the cat fight. Deborah huffs off and Ava mutters to herself, well not
quite to herself since Kate is listening with a disgusted look on her
face, that Deborah won't have long to be in the store and that soon she
(Ava) will have everything! Ava laughs gleefully and hugs herself while
Kate looks on wearing an disapproving mask.

Casey and Ally whirl into the group wearing stunning evening clothes.
Casey is in a black tux and Ally has on a long white Grecian style dress.
Casey, going a mile a minute, asks Ava if they can "borrow" the clothes.
Ava thinks they are "cute" and tells them *of course*! As she waves the
two out she tells them if anyone at the door gives them a hard time to
tell them *she* said it was ok!

Kate tells Ava that she's finally made a decision about the money. Ava
is sure she knows what it is since there is only one decision to make ...
I don't know why I didn't make this decision 2 minutes after Cabot
offered it ... Well, better late than never Mama ... Ava, I AM NOT going
to take Cabot's offer! ... What?! ... a speechless Ava screeches!

Kate can't believe how Ava's been acting, she's like the *old* Ava and
Kate hates it. First she treats Deborah terribly then she tells Casey
and Ally that it's ok to steal! Ava tries to defend herself but Kate's
on an indignant roll. She yells at Ava for giving her clothes away to
charity, they weren't Ava's to give! She tells Ava that their family
doesn't need the money. She and Alex have good jobs and her sisters and
brothers are fine, the grandkids are fine. NO amount of money could
bring their family closer together. If Ava doesn't believe that one, she
can just ask the Aldens! Kate vows to never let anything like that
happen to her family, and she stalks off leaving Ava with Alex.

Alex tries to reason with Ava to no avail. Alex says that Ava is
reverting to her old self. Ava gets mad and tells Alex that she's not
going to let him and her mother make her feel like a criminal for wanting
to take something that is handed to her! ... Mama's not the only one
entitled to that money! I am, too! And I'm going to do what ever it
takes to get my hands on it! ... she leaves Alex standing there watching
her rush off to conquer the world. [Gee, Ava has made the change back to
her old self quite remarkably ... and fast too! I can see her and
JillBear together in no time. Alex is already starting to get vexed with
her.]

We finally catch up with Casey and Ally. Casey takes her to Ralph's
Diner of all places. They sit and order the best - lemonade! - that they
have. Ally is giddy, Casey is hyper. Ally says it's so good to see him
this way ... Crazy? ... Happy! I don't know what you're on, but I hope
you keep taking it ... Little did she know that that bit of teasing
really hit home. She excuses herself to call and check on Tyler and
Casey takes the opportunity to pop another pill. ...

[JillBear]

Sorry, I can't help it. Jeremy's evil twin is Gilbert, but Jeremy
pronounces it JillBear!!! French accent or no, I thought it sounded
funny. About as funny as him pronouncing Ruth as Root, and both as
boat. I adore Jean, but I wish the writers had come up with a better name.
OK, back to the update ...

Gilbert is smoking a cigarette and we see Jeremy come out from the
shadows. His feet are chained together and he's sweaty. Gilbert demands
to know who Ruth, Joe and Erica are!

Jeremy is staring stonily at Gilbert and says ... You can't be Gilbert
... No? Don't you recognize the family resemblence? ... No, Gilbert died
when he was 6 years old ... And Gilbert launches into his life history:

There was a crash. And there was Denise. Denise was nurse who had just
lost her own husband and son in an accident. And there was a boy.
Denise thought Gilbert would be a substitute for them, so she took him!
She told him that his parents didn't want him anymore. ... But that
wasn't true. How could you believe that our parents wouldn't want you?
... Ah, she made me believe. She told me that they thought I was damaged
goods, not perfect like their son Jeremy! The perfect son got
everything. But we had each other. She told me that she'd always be
there for me. So we moved far away, far away from my parents and the
hospital. But we soon both figured out that I wasn't a substitute for
who she lost. ... How could you believe that? ... I was six years old!
Of course I believed her. I was alone and scared. But she told me the
truth right before she died, that she lied and told my parents that I'd
died ... All right then it's over. You can move past it all, it was
fate. ... Oh but there you're wrong. I blame *you* for everything. And
haven't you ever heard of taking fate in your own hands? I'm going to
take everything I never had! And I'll blame *you* until the day *you*
die! .......

[ONE YEAR AGO]
... I'd just back from maternity leave when Bob had
graciously done the Tuesday updates for me ...
Bonus (idea taken from Alexandra Bost/AMC, thanks Alex)

Jeremy is teaching colleage at Alden University and Ava has enrolled in
his classes. Ally and Cooper are also in class acting barely civil since
Cooper took Tyler away from Ally at the airport when she tried to run
away with Tyler. Ava blasts Cooper in the Art Class about hurting Ally,
Cooper leaves the class. Aurthur was in class, too, keeping Ava from
jumping Jeremy after class. Finally alone, Ava and Jeremy have wine and
cheese together in his classroom and discuss the aphrodisiac of danger
that Ava loves. Ava tells Jeremy that he reminds her of her ex-husband
Alex in that way.

Ally is upset after seeing Cooper in the class so she goes to 35 Maple to
find comfort with Casey. Not so. Casey has decided to "free" Ally so
she can keep Tyler - Cooper is blackmailing him - so he gets Steffi to
stage a seduction scene. Ally goes into the room and sees Steffi sitting
on Casey's bed clad only in her leopard skin bra! Ally runs out, Steffi
puts on her shirt and leaves without saying a word and Casey calls Cooper
to tell him the deal is done ...

Shana has the in-uerto surgery for Patty, and it is a success.

That's it for Tuesday! and ONE YEAR AGO Tuesday!
