Subject: LOV: Update - Monday, September 5, 1994
Status: R

Labor Day - LOVING - in return for Debbie doing my Thursday update
last week, I volunteered to do Monday's - then found out that WCVB (as
in I HATE Channel 5 MOST OF THE TIME) was (no, NOT OJ...) they had the
Jerry Lewis Labor Day Telethon on...BUT Channel 12 in Rhode Island had
LOVING, so I made a trip to the in-laws for lunch :-) Thank goodness
for TV Guide :-)

Curtis is in the chapel, lightening a candle for Dinah Lee.
Fake-Jeremy (F-Jer) comes in and asks how things are going. Curtis
says things are not all right. Curtis tells Jeremy he neds to talk to
someone!

Ally tells Cooper that she told Casey that her parents sent the
money. Cooper agrees to that story. Casey, of course, hears everything
and comes out and confronts them.

Frankie is sponguing off Angie's forehead. Charles comes in and asks
if she is any better. She is suppose to be, Frankie says, but she
seems worse.

Steffi can't beleive that Clay's marriage wasn't real. She hugs Clay
and he is surprised that she is not mad. No, she giggles, but she
wants to tell Mother. Tell me what, Deborah asks, as she comes into
the room. Steffi, gloating, tells her mother that Deborah knows that
Clay and Steffi have had feelings for each other. Deborah tells them
that Clay's not gettign a divorce. They don't have to, Steffi says.
Huh? Deborah says. Let her finish, Clay suggests, hugging Steffi from
the back. Steffi says that they were never married.

Deborah doesn't believe her. Clay tells her that it's a sham. Steffi
offers to help her mother pack. Clay tells Deborah she is NOT staying
in the mansion. Deborah, finally getting the messages, leaves to pack.
Lenox meets her, bags and baggage in hand and tells her that he has
packed all her things for her.

Casey is upset. Cooper leaves, letting them fight it out. Casey blames
Cooper for giving her the money. Ally wants to leave Cooper out of
this. (oops, my sons tooth fell out and I missed a few choice words of
Casey's...sorry) Ally says she's sorry; she should have told him about
the money. Yes, Casey says, she should not have taken it - there are
always strings attached. The Aldens buy whatever they want. What is he
saying? Ally asks.

Curtis tells F-Jer that he tried to fix the plane so it wouldn't take
off, but it did, and then it crashed. F-Jer tells him to keep this as
their secret. Curtis is surprised. He leaves, and F-Jer watches him,
with an evil look.

Frankie is still sponguing off Angie. F-Jer comes in. Frankie tells
him that his mother has been calling for him. Angies wakes up. She
asks him to call their old friends. Old friends? F-Jer asks. Yeah,
Joe, Ruth, Erica. Tell them how sorry she was to hear about...Sure, he
says. F-Jer leaves. Outside, he looks worried. Angie says she doesn't
feel okay. Charles says the doctor says the bone marrow transplant
wetn well.

Casey tells Ally that he's sorry he doesn't make enough. She tells him
that he works too much, she'd rather have him than money. He tells her
that there are too many bills for him to work any less. She tells him
his mood swings are too much for her. Can't he talk to someone? she
suggests. Like a therapist? Does she think he's crazy? Casey asks.
Ally says that she's not the only one that has noticed. WHAT?! Casey
says, has she been talking to other people about him? He's upset. The
baby cries. Ally says she'll get him. No, Casey says, he will. Casey
calls Mike, the guy who gave him something. Casey asks him if he's
available for a shoot. Yes, he is, anything else? Mike asks. Well,
Casey says, he needs something to take the edge off, can he help?

Deborah comes back into the room. She tells the family that if they
need her, she can be reached at Burnelle's. No, Clay syas, she is OUT!
Deborah tells Steffi that Clay does not love her. Lenox stops her as
she is leaving and removes a glass egg from a shopping bag. Isabelle,
chuckling, says she told her not to put all her eggs in one basket.
Deborah leavesd, crying. Cabot tells Clay that Cooper has potential.
No, Clay says, he's not letting Cooper get his hands on anything.
Cooper says he doesn't want anything of Clay's - not AE, not Steffi!
He's seen what the Alden money can do. He tells them about the Casey
and Ally fight over the money he gave them. As he goes to leave the
house, Steffi calls to him.

Cooper goes outside. Steffi runs after him. She doesn't want him to
go. Why not? he asks. He can't stay here - he can't save her; he can't
even save himslef. He tells her that the Slavinsky's were happy, not
they're turning into Aldens. She tells him Clay and Deborah's marriage
was not legal. Figures, Cooper says. Doesn't surprise him at all. He
tells Steffi to make sure she checks out the minister at HER
wedding. See you around, Cooper says, as he leave. Steffi sighs, leans
her head against the post, and looks sad.

Clay insults Cooper's ability to run AE. Sounds like a self-portrait,
Cabot tells him. Cabot tells Clay he's sory Clay feels this way. As
head of the business, he watns Clay OUT! Out of AE, out of the
mansion. Isabelle begs for Cabot not to throw Clay out. Clay tells
Cabot he's spent his whole life proving himself as an Alden. Cabot
leaves. Clay tells Isabelle that he is not his precious son, he's
never been good enough. Isabelle tells him to let it be - it'll blow
over. No, Clay syas, this is not over by a long shot.

F-Jer goes to a dark place, lights a cigarette, and sasy "Who the hell
are Joe and Erica?" Jeremy (the real one), looking beaten and broken,
turns silently.
