Another fine day in Corinth filled with murder suspects and worry -
who will be next?

Jacob opens his door and Loraine is there. She says he's busy, she'll
come back. He stops her.

At Kate's, Neal complements Kate on her breakfast. Obviously, Kate
says, she didn't feed him enough, he's bringing out the balony now.
He's buttering her up, she says, cause she knows his secret. Secret?
he says. Did he think that she wouldn't find out?

At the station, Tony and ALex are talking about how it's a good thing
the press don't know about the photo pieces. They get the report. It
doesn't show the poison that was used for Clay and Stacey. Alex says
the only thing in his system was sedatives, but they're in line with
the dosage prescribed. Charles asks if it's possible that Curtis is
their man, maybe he left the piece of the picture instead of a note?
No, I can assure you, Gwyn says, walking over, that Curtis
did not kill himself.

At the TV studio, Richard is pre-reading a story about a Corinthian
resident...his producer suggests he change the name, sounds like the
insides of a car. The producer mentions that it seems like the cops
have kept him out of the loop.Richard mentions that with his luck,
he'll get the story. Steffi comes in and tells him his luck has
changed.

Steffi tells him to put the smirk away before she smacks if off his
face. She is upset that he called Gwyn to talk about her dead
son...he hasn't been dead for 24 hours yet! SShe is upset that he
would do anythign to get a story, it doesn't matter who he hurts or
what effect he has. She says that the doll didn't work, the game
didn't work, but she's sure that he'll figure out something, he
always gets what he wants, doesn't he? He says she thinks that he's
after he for a source. He asks why she thinks that he's only
interested in her for business reasons?

Kate says she knows his secret, he doesn't have to pretend...he
snores. Well, his wife had a rememdy for that, but Kate'd have to get
close to him at night. Kate says she'll learn to live with it. Kate
tells Neal that Curtis, Gwyn's son, died, and they think it was foul
play, same persons that has been killing the rest. Kate gets up to do
the breakfast dishes and Neal asks if she's done with the paper.
Sure. He takes it, and kisses her on the cheek. As he leaves, Kate is
smiling.

Gwyn wants to see a copy of the report, to see if it matches the
psychological profile she worked up. Charles wonders why she is here,
now at this time. She has work to do, Gwyn says, she wants to find
the killer. But, gee, she says, they lost their number one suspect.
Charles says he appologizes for what he said here earlier. She wants
him to say that Curtis was innocent. (ed. note: he doesn't). He says
he runs the department as he thinks best. He hands her the autopsy
report. She sits and opens it.

Loraine tells Jacob that she has the day off. She was on the way to
the AA meeting... Oh, Jacob says, and she wasn't ready to solo? No,
she...this is about that night. Night? What night? Jacob says...you
mean the dinner, dancing, romancing night? Yeah, she says, she had a
good time...did he? Yes, Jacob says. Well, she says, usually, she
thinks, when a guy has a good time, he calls. Jacob is embarassed,
saying he knew he should have followed his instincts. He sits her
down and tells her that he was gonna call, he even had the phone in
his hand, but he figured she'd think he was going too fast. They
laugh about joining another support group, Daters Anonymous. Hi, I'm
Jacob, Jacob says, and I'm socially inept. They laugh. Jacob asks her
if she'd like another date. Yes, she says. Name the time and place,
he says. Tongiht, 8pm, Angie's place. Jacob is not happy.

Angie's? Yeah, she says, Frankie is having a birthday party for Bree.
Angie offered the house. Usually, Loraine says, they just go to a
restraunt. Loraine talks about 20 years ago. She was so much younger
when she had her. She was very lonely before she had Bree, she didn't
know what she was gonna do. Then a beautiful, perfect baby arrived in
her arms. Jacob says he remembers when David was born, this was
so...so...right. Loraine says she doesn't understand how he survived
the death of his wife and son. Jacob says that he's not sure, but
when he's with her, he doesn't feel so lonely. She stammers that she
has to get to the meeting. He stops her and says don't.

Steffi and Richard fight. The producer says the phone call is for
Richard. She says she hates him. His mother always said hate was just
love trying to hatch itself out of the shell. he picks up the phone,
she Harrumps, and leaves.

Tony asks Alex if anyone has seen Trisha around. Curtis saw her, Tony
says. Alex says that Curtis saw a lot of things. Tony says that
Trisha went off, she sent that letter, maybe she meant that she was
gonna oft the whole family. Alex says he's not buying it. Rent it,
Tony says. Follow it out, he adds, and he will tell him who's suppose
to be next. The camera pans to Gwyn. (ed. note: did anyone catch what
Alex's screen saver said as it scrolled by? Anyone with a tape that
can look closely? It was about :47 into the show,at the beginning of
this scene. Thanks!)

Alex gets up and goes to Gwyn. he's concerned about her. He wants
someone to stay with her. Gwyn says Steffi has offered, and Jeremy is
near by. Alex says that's okay, but it's obvious that he's not happy
about it. Gwyn tells him that she's worried about Isabelle and Cabot,
he's going back to his "Buddy" days. Alex offers to go see him. Gwyn
says okay, but not as a cop. Not as a cop, he agrees. She's planning
a 50th wedding anniversary for them. Alex says he and Ava will be
there. Gwyn is going to the library to do more research. She leaves.
Tony tells Alex that he wants to talk to the Private Investigators
that Clay had following Trisha. Maybe, if he talks to them, he can
find out how far off the mark he is. Alex says fine, but he wants a
tail on Gwyn. Tony says he'll handle it.

Kate, laundry in hand, tries to open Neal's door. it's locked. If
only he'd put a lock on his snoring, too. She puts some sheets away
in a drawer in his room. No, she tells herself, she's not a snoop.
She's not her daughter. As Kate leaves (and relocks the door), the
camera pans to the open shoebox with the yellowed article showing.

In the alley outside the police station, in B&W, there is a click
(the ominous sound from the promos). Gwyn walks into camera and she
stops, as if she senses someone and she looks around. She walks off
camera. Neal comes into view, behind her, looking like he's looking
to see who is watching.

At the station, Alex tells Tony that he knows Trisha, and she
couldn't have done it. Richard comes in. Tony insults him. Alex warns
him off. Richard is demanding the picture fragments. Charles asks
what he is talking about. He wants in, or he goes on the air, blowing
the door off this investigation. Alex is not happy.

Don't what? Loraine asks. Don't leave me, Jacob says, kissing her.
Stay here, kiss, stay with me, kiss kiss. Jacob, kiss, she says,
she's doesn't...kiss, kiss..and they're down onto the bed, kissing.
