Subject: Loving Update for Wednesday 8/l6/95

Ally's walking in the park with Tyler. They run into Danny. He says he
got her "invitation".

Alex and Tony come into the station talking about Richard. They think
they better find Curtis because if he sees the show about the tape, he
might go "ball-istic". Tony wonders if he shouldn't find somewhere else
to stay because of Ava. Alex says she loves company.

Gwyn is talking to Jill about the report and thinks the murderer is a
woman. Here comes Jeremy to ask if Gwyn wants to go to dinner. Jill hands
her the report and says keep going, it's interesting stuff. Gwyn tells
Jeremy she's swamped. He asks if it's because of the show.
Gwyn: "Jeremy, for the last time, Curtis didn't kill anybody!"

Tess, at the agency, turns as Curtis walks in and grabs her around the
throat! They knock over the flowers on the desk. She falls to the floor
and he lets go as Jacob comes in. He chases Curtis out of the office.
Tess is lying there, very still.

opening credits

Ally's brought Tyler home and tells him to play while she stays on the
porch with Danny.
A: "I didn't give you an invitation for anything!"
D: "Okay so, it wasn't exactly a written invitation but it was kind of
implied."
A: "What are you talking about?"
D: "The restraining order. I heard you didn't have it renewed."
A: "So?"
D: "So I guess you don't mind having me around so much."
A: "Let's just say I wanted to put this all behind me, okay?
D: "That must mean you don't consider me a threat."
A: " No, I consider you VERY dangerous."

Jeremy takes Gwyn's hand and tells her he doesn't think Curtis killed
anyone. She asks why he thinks Alex should bring him in. He says it's
because of Curtis being at the house when Clay was murdered. She
understands and says she doesn't know how much more she can take. An
officer comes to tell Gwyn she has a phone call. She wants him to take a
message but he says it sounds urgent. She goes to the phone and it's
Curtis. He tells her he thinks he killed Tess. She wants to know where he
is but he won't say. He hangs up.

Jacob comes back to check on Tess. She wakes up fighting and coughing.
Jacob asks what's going on. She says she didn't do anything and Curtis
attacked her. She tells him about the tape.
J: " You just never learn, do ya?"
T: "What, I deserved to be choked to death because I recorded a private
conversation?"
She goes to the phone to call the police.

Tony: "So I take it, she doesn't want you being a cop, huh?"
Alex: "She wants me to do something less dangerous, like stockcar racing
or alligator wrestling."
T: "No, you know what I think the trick is, you don't talk about the job
at home."
A: "I don't, but lately it's getting a little difficult to seperate the
two." T: "Why because you both knew all the victims?"
A: "That and the fact that we both know the suspects."
Gwyn comes over and tells Alex she needs to talk to him. She hesitates
and Jeremy tells her she's got to trust someone. She tells Alex, Curtis
just called and said he may have killed Tess. Tony gets on the phone to
call the agency. An officer hands Alex a message from Tess. Everyone breathes
a sigh of relief. Gwyn asks what Alex is going to do and he tells her
they'll have to bring Curtis in. Tony and Alex leave to check on Tess.

The phone is ringing as Ava's trying to open the door. It's Kate, about
keeping the kids overnight. Ava pauses in mid-sentence and looks around
the room. She tells Kate she got that feeling, like someone just walked
across her grave. She says bye and hangs up. Curtis is standing in the
doorway and says it's good Alex isn't home because they need to be alone.

Alex has arrived at the agency. Tess tells him what happened and Jacob
confirms it. He asks if they know where Curtis went. Tess flares up but
Alex talks calmly and asks if she needs medical attention. He exits
telling her he'll keep in touch. Tony's at the reception desk and tells
Alex that he put out the A.P.B. Alex doesn't want to go back to the station
because Gwyneth is there. So he decides they should go to his house to work.

Ava says she has work to do and Curtis should leave. (She's afraid of him)
She apologizes for her reaction. Curtis wonders what's happened to
everybody. Then she apologizes for telling him about Tess and the tape.
He rants and raves some more and tells her he thinks he killed Tess. He
wants Ava to help him, to tell him what to do.

Danny and Ally are still on the porch.
D: "So you think I'm dangerous, huh? Is that good or bad?"
A: "It's interesting.
D: "Now I'M interested!"
A: " Good!"
(She goes to the door)
A: "Are you coming in?"
D: "I didn't know I was invited.
A: "You said you got an invitation."
Danny looks around and then goes inside.

Danny's posing! Ally's doing a mini photo shoot with music. She runs out
of film. While she's reloading, he starts looking at some of the pictures
on the table but accidently picks up some belonging to Casey. The mood
changes, she asks him to leave. He apologizes for touching Casey's stuff.
She thanks him and he leaves. Ally closes the door, goes to the answering
machine and puts in the cassette of Casey's voice.
A: "I had to hear your voice, please don't be mad at me. I have to do
this. It's the only way."

Tess is ransacking her shelves. Jacob asks what she's looking for. She
pulls out a bottle and pours them drinks.
T: "Oh God, look, my hands are shaking. I can still feel Curtis' fingers
around my neck. I almost died tonight, Jacob, can you believe that, I
almost died."
J: "You didn't Blanche, you didn't. To life, aleichem!"(sp)
T: "It's true what they say, you know- 'bout your life flashing in front
of your eyes.
J: "Oh yeah, (belch) yeah."
T: "I mean it's not the whole thing, it's just the highlights!"
J: "So how was it?"
T: "Like a trailer of a bad movie that I wouldn't want to see, you want
another drink?"
J: "Hit me!"
T: "I don't wanna die alone Jacob. I can't think of anything worse."
J: "Yeah well, I've been alone for so long I can't think of anything
else." (ha, ha)
T: "I thought that that thing between you and Angie was going to work out
big time, what happened?"
J: "Yeah well, unfortunately Angie didn't think so."
T: "So what? You lost your dream girl and you're going to spend the rest
of your life alone, is that it?"
J: "Ah, I didn't say that."
T: "Okay, who is she?"
J: "(ha, ha) You're out of control, Tess!"
T: "You got your eye on somebody. I can tell."
J: "I got my eye on life, a few laughs, a little dinner."
T: "Come on, what's her name?"
J: "I tell you what, I'm having dinner with her tonight, if all goes
well, I'll give you a name. Is that a deal?"
T: "If all goes well, you can give me lessons. Lest you forget, I was
yours for the taking!"
J: "Yeah well, I guess I missed that boat."
T: "Did I use the past tense, my mistake."
J: (heavy sigh) "Come on Tess, let me drive you home, huh, before some
other man that you've driven crazy decides to come and finish what Curtis
started. Let's get out of here!"

Gwynn is going on and on about how it couldn't be Curtis. Jeremy tries to
reassure her. She's feeling guilty because she's the one that got Curtis
out of Dunellen.

Ava's tried calling the agency but there's no answer. She's trying to
calm Curtis down when they hear Alex's voice in the hall. He panics and
begs Ava to hide him. She agrees and pushes him through a door as Alex
and Tony come in the front door....
