LOVING No-Time-To-Do-This-So-It-Will-Be-A-Very-Short Mini-Update for
 Friday, August 26:

STORYLINE: MONEY TROUBLES?
           (location: Kate's house)
* Casey didn't sleep last night. He got in late because he was working.
As he gets ready to get back to work today, Ally shows him a pregnancy
test. She goes to get the test results...
* Ally is *not* pregnant. There is absolutely no reaction. She asks if
he is relieved, he says no. She asks if he changed his mind about his
wanting her to be pregnant. No. He does think, though, that maybe he
needs to have more money first. She asks what would happen if she had
been pregnant. He says they'd deal with it; that answer offends her.
He says that he would work 24 hours a day if needed. He says that part
of him is disappointed, too. They kiss and make up and Casey leaves.
* (Casey shows up at the ad agency. See below.)
* Ally calls the bank to get the balance of the trust fund Cooper had
set up for Tyler. She is amazed at the amount. She asks how she would
withdraw some funds. She tells Tyler that she is going to get some of
 the money.

STORYLINE: WHY ASK WHY?
           (starting location: Janie's apartment)
* Pam thanks Buck for paying Janie's bills. They enter her apartment.
"Not much here." Pam says she didn't have much. Buck says that
includes him -- he wasn't around for long enough.
* None.
* They're done packing. They didn't find anything to tell them much
about her. Pam found a book, a romance novel in a series (I believe),
and says she used to read those books. She would dream about romance
and true love. They find a newspaper clipping: it is Pam's mother's
obituary from *ten* years ago. Pam didn't realize that Janie was out
on her own for so long. They start talking about the plane crash.
Buck is mad that he didn't turn the plane around and bring her back.
He almost wishes he was still "bad" because he was happier then. He
is frustrated that he "busted up" the lives of Trucker and Stacey.
She says he hurt people back when he didn't care, too. He says she
is wrong; that he *did* care and he is going to do something about it
this time: "I'm never going to care again."
* [At the ad agency.]
Buck enters and asks if Tess is there. She approaches and says how
sorry she is about the plane crash. "Tess, could you please just come
with me." "Yeah, yeah. Come on." They leave.

STORYLINE: WHO'S THAT FRUIT? and JUST SAY NO.
(location: Hunter & Wilder Ad Agency)
* Cooper apologizes for "making Tess late" but she says last night and
this morning were worth it. Stephanie enters, ready to model, and she
brought Cabot with her. Cooper freaks out, but Stephy says he promised
to stay put. Cooper says that with all of the people there, somebody
is bound to recognize him. "They won't." Cabot is standing there,
 dressed as a huge pineapple.
* Cooper asks what he is wearing that for. Cabot (who thinks he is
Buddy) says he is there to be in Stephy's ad. He tells her like she
looks exactly like Carmen Miranda. She asks "who?" and Cooper says
it is another time warp. Tess comes up and asks what *he* is doing
there -- they had *canned* the pineapple. [Pun city!] She decides
that one more piece of fruit won't hurt and sends him between the
grapes and the watermelon. He waddles over, following Stephy.
* Tess says she loves it; that the Carmen Miranda thing works. They
pose for a bunch of pictures. The photographer announces a break,
and the fruits leave, except Cabot. He dances with Stephy (Cooper
hides his face). The photographer asks where he learned to dance like
that. "FLYING DOWN TO RIO. Just hit the movie houses. Have you seen
it yet?" Cooper weakly covers that comment.
Casey enters. Tess thought he had a shoot at the loft. He says he is
done and wants his next assignment. Tess notes that he seems burned
out, but he convinces her that he needs the money and he's OK.
Cooper says he saw the Lady Alden Soap campaign and thinks Clay is up
to something. Cabot approaches and Cooper offers to get him a drink.
He wonders why people are eating and drinking so lavishly when there
 are people in bread lines...
Casey and another photographer discuss their next assignment, which
involves being up at the crack of dawn. The other guy wonders whether
Casey will make it, as Casey lets out a big yawn.
Tess approaches Cooper and asks if something isn't, in fact, up between
 him and Stephy...
* Cooper says that they were talking about the Lady Alden Soap campaign.
Tess accepts that. She says it is a wrap, and asks Cooper out. He
stammers, and she takes that as a rejection. She leaves in a huff.
* Stephy and Cooper notice that Cabot has left. He is looking at a
board with the ad campaign. He reads: "A free steaming cup of 'Joe'
with every bar of [getting increasingly frustrated] Lady Alden Soap."
The other photographer asks if Casey is sure he'll be up for the shoot
tomorrow. Casey says he'd need to go to sleep now. He asks if there
is any coffee around. Other guy says he has something better and holds
up a prescription drug container. Casey declines, but he says they are
prescription and they really work. Casey says he doesn't do drugs, and
reiterates his coffee request. Other guy says "here" and says that if
he doesn't want them, he can just throw them away. Casey takes the
 container from him somewhat absent-mindedly.

STORYLINE: WHO DAT?
           (location: Jeremy's house)
* Gwyneth and (Jeremy) come downstairs. He can't remember where his
briefcase is and blames his new maid. Gwyneth tells him to cut her
some slack; it takes time to get adjusted to a new house. (Jeremy)
says, "Yes, it *does* take time."
* (Jeremy) says he won't fire the maid. Gwyn suggests he talk to her
about the cigarette smoking habit. He finds the briefcase and says
"let's go." She reminds him that they had planned to work at home.
She suggests he get his head wound checked out. He asks if he was fine
last night, and she says he was better than ever. [Jeez.] They kiss,
but Gwyn pulls back and suggests they get to work. He says the house
is cold, and she reminds him that she likes it that way. He goes to
get a jacket, and Gwyn suggests he wear the one she gave him. He says
it must be at the cleaners and picks a random jacket out of the closet.
* Curtis calls, looking for Gwyn. She takes the call in another room.
Meanwhile, he starts trying to play with the laptop. (He powers it
off, I believe.) Gwyn returns, saying that the AE jet just went down.
He asks who was on board. Gwyn says he *knows* who was on board...
* Gwyn reminds him that Buck was bringing Dinah Lee back from New York.
She says Janie was on the plane too and she was killed. (Jeremy) says
he is sorry. Gwyn feels guilty about getting the plane for Buck.
(Jeremy) tries to console her, but is rather awkward about it. She
asks him how the bad news about Dinah Lee affects him, and he says he
will be fine. He suggests that they call the hospital to find out how
she is doing. Regina, the maid, enters to clean the living room.
Gwyn goes to use the other phone to call the hospital. (Jeremy) bums
a cigarette from Regina. She says she thought he didn't approve. He
says that there are a lot of things she doesn't know about him. He
takes a long drag from the cigarette...
