Subject: LOV: Update Tuesday, August 16, 1994
Status: R

Jennifer is at the doctor's office for Sara's one year checkup so she
asked me to trade with her. She should do tomorrow's update for me.

Also, I have a meeting, so this is as I typed it in, please forgive
the typos and mistakes.

Jeremy is late. Gwyn says it's okay, they just got started. Is Tess
here? Jeremy asks. Yes, Gwyn says, she's in the conference
room. Curtis is gonna pay for a stepped up campaign to find a donor
for Angie. He says he's sunk as low as he can go, using Trisha's
memory against Trucker.

Janie is delivering from Ralph's. Frankie asks her what she's
doing. She thought she'd try modeling. HA! Frankie laughs. Janie says
she figured out why Frankie left when she was talking about
Buck. Admit it, you're jealous, Janie says.

Ava is talking to Dinah Lee on the phone. She tells Ava she's
tired. Ava offers to come over, but Dinah Lee says Ava is not who she
needs. Then she appologizes. Ava tries to get Dinah Lee to call
Trucker and tell him.

Meanwhile, trucker and Buck approach the girl. Do you want to talk to
me? she asks. Yeah, I'm here to talk to you about your father, Buck
says.

The girl asks if he's a great as Mom says he was. She said that Mom
said if he lived, he would have been terrific. She tells them that Mom
said it happened when she was pregnant. He was a med school student,
got hit by a car. Died right away. That's why she's a medical student
- to keep Daddy's dream alive. He was gonna be a inner-city doctor to
bring affordable medical care to the kids of the city. Buck backs off
and tells Trucker they should leave.

Tess wants Jeremy and Gwyn to look at something. Curtis remember Tommy
telling him that Buck's daughter is right here in Corinth.

Frankie asks Janie what she wants. They talk about growing up. Janie
tells Frankie that her mother shipped her off as soon as
possible. Grandma wanted nothing to do with Mom, almost from the time
she got pregnant. She was bounced from foster home to foster
home. Someone comes in and tells Frankie that they need the story
boards ASAP. She pays Janie. Curtis comes out and tells Janie that
she's hot for Buck. Is it that obvious? Janie says. Well, Curtis
offers, here's something that will let her get closer...

What about Buck? Well, he works with him everyday. Janie says that
he's the boss. Curtis tells her that Buck is a smooth operator. Maybe
it will be different with her. Maybe, Curtis says. Janie
leaves. Jeremy says is this one of the ways that he's "helping" Buck?
He is using Janie. Jeremy doesn't buy it. Curtis says Buck made a
mistake, now he has to live with it.

Trucker says what's next? Buck says that this is great. All he wanted
was for her to be proud of her dad. What is he suppose to do? Break
her immage, then they hug and make up and he takes her to the zoo?
Buck says what about him and Dinah Lee? Trucker says he can't do to
New York and drag her back. Why not! Buck asks. If you lose Dinah Lee,
it's your own fault.

Dinah Lee throws down a magazine. She remembers making love to
Trucker. She's crying. She calls Trucker's. Someone answers. Trucker!
I'm so glad. It's me.

Frankie is jokign with Jeremy about the dog days of August...it's got
to be a hundred or so. Janie is back. Janie tells him that she thinks
he's great, and someone will be lucky to get him. He says you,
too...maybe she should trun her father figure in for a boyfirend. What
do you think?

Tommy asks Buck's "daughter" how things went. She says Daddy was so
wonderful, the light of my life. He's afraid that she laid it on too
thick. Nah, but she's sorry that Houston guy left, he's guite a
guy. She wants the money. NOW. She's the showcase tonight, and it
doesn't pay nearly as much as this did.

Buck tells Dinah Lee that she just missed him. He went out for a
little while, and then he's off to the cycle shop. Dinah Lee says she
just wanted to talk to him, to see him, but if Trucker says her, he'd
know. What? What is wrong. Nothing, she lies. Look, you can't scam a
scam artist, Buck says. Dinah Lee makes him promise not to tell
Trucker. She's pregnant. Oh! Buck tries to get her to tell Trucker,
but she says she can't. Not yet. Buck yells at her when? When the kid
is grown and off to school? Trucker won't want to miss any of this
child's life. Dinah Lee says she hears Hannah, she has to go now. Buck
hangs up and calls Gwyn. he tells her he knows she has no reason to
grant him this, but he was hoping she could get him the AE jet. He
needs to get to NY tonight. Is anything wrong? When he gets there,
he'll make it right.
