				LOVing Update
			    Tuesday, August 9th, 1994

Today's episode finds us with 3 storylines in 3 locations:

The Rodeo Bar with Curtis, Trucker, Buck and Janie
The Ad Agency with Jeremy, Gwyn and Alex
The Hubbard House	with Angie, Frankie, Charles and Pat

[The Rodeo Bar]

We open this scene with Janie seated at a table at the Rodeo Bar and Buck
behind the bar. Janie's watching him with hungry eyes and says hello to
him as he passes her. She thanks him for helping her and tells him about
the job she's gotten at the Diner.

Up at the bar, Buck talks to Trucker about Dinah Lee leaving town. Buck
is upset that Trucker let her leave. And Buck's also upset because Dinah
Lee left without saying good bye to *him*! Curtis overhears this comment
as Trucker walks away.

Janie intercepts Trucker and Trucker sits down to talk to her. He's
uneasy and she tells him to relax that she's not after him. She gets a
gleam in her eye as she gazes at Buck and asks Trucker ... But you can
tell me if that gorgeous hunk of man is unattached ... [Oh please Janie,
that's disgusting! Buck is your father for goodness sake!!] They carry
this infatuation a little further when Susie asks Janie what she wants
and Janie says it's not on the menu while she drools over Buck.

Back up at the bar Curtis asks Buck if Dinah Lee really left town? When
Buck grudgingly answers yes, Curtis starts to taunt him about Dinah Lee
not saying good bye. This predictably lights Buck's fuse and the two
start to fight yet again. Trucker breaks up the fight with Curtis's
parting jab to Buck ... You sure are awfully concerned about your
*brother's* girlfriend! ...

Trucker tries to calm Buck down telling him that he's stupid for fighting
with Curtis because he'll lose his job! Buck laughs and says that Curtis
wouldn't fire him and risk his new nice guy image. Trucker tells him not
to be so sure. In the background we see Curtis mumbling to himself about
making Buck pay as he picks up the phone ... Fontana! Where the hell
have you been! Did you get the information? No! That's not good
enough! What am I paying you for? ... He hangs up the phone as he
mutters something menacing about destroying Buck as the camera pans to
Janie who is still devouring Buck with her eyes. [I hate that sleeveless
shirt they have Buck wearing all the time!]

During all of this Alex enters the Rodeo Bar. He sees the fight between
Curtis and Buck and stops at the bar to talk to Curtis. Curtis doesn't
want to talk about the fight and Alex says fine but that he isn't leaving
until Curtis's blood pressure drops. Curtis wants to know what he really
wants, and Alex says he was just in the neighborhood and stopped in for a
drink and asks for a soda. Alex asks how the family is? ... Fine. ...
And your grandmother? ... Fine. Well, I think being in the house is
bringing up memories. ... Memories? ... Yes, I walked in and she was
crying ... Crying? About Cabot? ... Yes, she said his name ... But it's
been such a long time since he died she should be over it ... Hmm, maybe
it's just being in the house again. ... Alex looks thoughtful as he sips
his drink.

Susie tells Buck that the juke box is on the fritz again so she'll turn
on the radio. As the song ends we hear a public service announcement in
Frankie's voice. He's asking for everyone who is listening to go and
have a bone marrow match test done. He explains that his Mom is very
sick with aplastic anemia and that this is her only hope. And if they
get tested but don't match, they may still be able to help someone else
since your name and information go into a world wide databank. He urges
everyone to endulge in this selfless act. Janie walks over to the radio
and listens and considers ...

[The Ad Agency]

We open this storyline with Gwyn and Jeremy talking about the new Lady
Alden Soap campaign. Gwyn is standing in front of a shower curtain which
is drawn to hide her new campaign idea. Jeremy is puzzled as to why
she's going ahead with this since Clay was so adamantly against it. Gwyn
tells him that Clay changed his mind and has increased their budget to go
full steam ahead! Jeremy wonders why Clay would change his mind so
rapidly. Alex has entered unbeknownst to the two and comments ... That
means that my old friend is up to something! ...

The three discuss Clay's intentions for a while and Alex leaves. Gwyn
and Jeremy talk about Alex's ties to the Alden family. Gwyn remembers
when Alex impersonated Clay, and how he really believed that they were
his family. Especially Cabot and Isabelle. And how strange that all
was. [Hmm, another speculation. Since we all know that Clay is
Isabelle's son by the stable boy and not Cabot, what do you want to bet
that Alex is somehow really a true-blue Alden??]

Jeremy reminds Gwyn that in order to keep from getting drawn in by Clay that
she has to keep from getting personally involved. Gwyn gives him a serious
look and says she can't do that. Jeremy looks crushed.

When next we see them, Gwyn explains her comment. Lady Alden soap was
romantic and the best selling product Alden Enterprises even had!
Cabot's father used this to rebuild his entire empire! He bought a
company and he bought a town. So she plans to get very personal in this
campaign. Personal with him! She opens the shower curtain to reveal an
old fashioned bath tub which she starts to fill with water. She walks
over and dims the lights and picks up a bar of the soap as she starts to
seduce Jeremy.

She slides off her coat jacket as she gazes seductively into his eyes ...
Lady Alden soap was an inexpensive product which inspired luxury in a
time when people had nothing in the Depression. But they wanted it, oh
how they wanted it ... Jeremy meanwhile is speechless and mutters a few
Oh's and Ahh's as he watches her with rapture. She slips behind the
shower curtain and starts to disrobe as she continues to explain her idea
for the campaign, filled with sexual inuendos. When she emerges she has
a pretty silk wrap on her head to match the silk robe she's wearing. She
finishs her speech by telling Jeremy they need to do a lot of research for
the product and she lets the robe fall to the floor. Jeremy has fallen
under her spell and tells her he loves research as he enfolds her in his
embrace. He also tells her that he loves her. Then they go at it in the
bathtub.

[The Hubbard House]

Frankie, Charles and Angie are in the living room discussing their plans
for finding Angie a bone marrow donor. Charles is sporting a new look!
He shaved off that bushy mustache. He's wearing a pair of shorts and
t-shirt that show off that magnificent body of his. Did anybody notice
that he looks a lot like OJ without the mustache?

They're bantering about the advertising that they are doing and assuring
Angie that they will find a donor when the doorbell rings. Frankie is
grinning from ear to ear as he opens the door for his Grandmother! Angie
is stunned in joyous surprise as she sees her mother. Pat rushes in and
hugs a tearful Angie.

Grandma explains that it was all Frankie's idea to get her here. Frankie
is cute and all smiles as he explains it took a whole week of planning to
get her there, Pat tells Angie that Frankie made all the arrangements and
she felt like he even packed long distance for her! Angie is pleased
beyond belief that they would do this for her and teases Frankie about
keeping the secret. Frankie smiles and says he did it for her, was she
surprised? Of course she was! Grandma does the grandmotherly thing and
comments on how grown up Frankie has gotten ... My goodness, what
happened to you? How'd you get so tall? Are you wearing boots? ... Naw
Grandma, I've got on sneakers! ... Sneakers! It's always sneakers with
you ... as she laughs and lovingly hugs her grandson. Angie watches all
this with tears brimming in her eyes.

Next Angie introduces Pat to Charles. ... Nice to meet you Mrs. Baxter.
... Nonsense, call me Pat. ... The two sit down to talk, while Angie and
Frankie listen in the background ... So tell me, what do you do? ...
Angie offers that he used to be in the FBI but is now with the Corinth
Police ... FBI? What happened why aren't you with them anymore? Was
there some sort of scandal? And I know a policeman's salary isn't much.
So exactly what are your intentions towards my daughter? ... This all
delivered with a haughty tone, which has Charles squirming and Frankie
laughing. Charles answers her questions with quiet regard immedietly
putting Pat at ease ... I met your daughter when I was on an assignment
with the FBI here in Corinth and fell in love. I transferred to the
Corinth PD to be close to her. My salary is moderate but adequate, and
my intentions are honorable. ... They all laugh and pal around after
that. Charles takes Frankie outside to get Pat's luggage.

Left alone the girls have a heart to heart. Pat assures Angie that she
is there for her, and that she'll get a bone marrow test right away.
Angie asks how long she plans on staying and Pat tells her as long as she
needs her. They hug and we see the worried expressions on both mother
and daughter's faces.

Frankie and Charles reenter, and the scene fades as they hear Frankie's
public service announcement on the radio, everyone smiling hopefully at
one another ...

[Alex ...]

The last scene of the day was Alex entering the other Police official's
office - you know the guy that Clay threatened when Alex petitioned to
have Trisha's body exhumed, I can't remember his name.

... Alex if you're here about having Trisha Alden's body exhumed again
forget it! ... No that's not what I want. What happened there? ... He
explains that Clay is what happened. Alex sarcastically remarks that it
only took one phone call! So the other guy wants to know why Alex is
there and Alex asks him ... I need to know. Were you on duty the night
that Cabot Alden died? ....

And that's it for Tuesday!
