Subject: LOV: Update for Wednesday 3, 1994
Status: RO

Well, I'm back from vacation. Ready to do the update. Debbie is trying
to stand by, but she she doesn't have a lock on the door, and she was
told there were "people looking for her".

As it happened:

Buck tells Trucker he drove to New Jeresy to see his kid. You found
her? I have a daughter, Buck says. Trucker wants details on what she's
like. I didn't get to see her; I never will, Buck sighs.

At the store (are they gonna change the name to Alden's :-) or
Deborah's...double :-)), Ava tells Christy that Deborah put her in a
dressing room. No! Christy says. Dinah Lee comes over and Christy goes
back to work. Ava rants about Deborah acting like she owns the
place...well, she does, Ava says, but that's no reason to treat me
like... Then she notices Dinah Lee and wants to know if anything is
wrong. Dinah Lee wants to talk, Ava is paged to Mrs. Alden's
office. Ava says, 5 minutes? Dinah Lee agrees to wait. Curtis comes up
to her. Have you been following me? she asks.

Cooper and Steffi are waiting for Alex in the park. He comes up and
tells them he was detained at the station. They agree that Clay is
holding someone, presummed dead (he's NOT presumed dead, he is dead,
dead, the writers-had-bette-rexplain-this-one-SOON, dead) and he has
knowledge that could ruin Clay. While they're talking, Cabot/Buddy
sits down on a bench behind them, talking to himself, saying he needs
to get more exercise.

Where do we start? Steffi asks. The Cradle Foundation, Alex says. He
needs an address. Alex hopes that whoever Clay is hiding is not
someone in the family. Clay can be very dangerous. Cooper tells Steffi
that Alex used to be an Alden. Huh? Steffi says. He pretended to be
Clay, Alex says, he grew to love the family. But, Cooper adds, he was
found out and then thrown out. Yeah, Alex says, he lost the money and
the prestigue, but he kept the closeness to the family. When Cabot
died, he was really hurt. Is that why he came back? To protect the
family? Steffi asks. (Cabot/Buddy looks up and recognizes Steffi.)
Sorta, what with the Dante thing and the threats to the family. Funny,
Alex says, now Clay is the threat to the family. Alex wants them to
drop out of the investigation now. No, Steffi says, she WAS doing this
to get back at her mother, but now, she's in it for Cooper. Go on,
boy, Cabot/Buddy says, kiss her, that's what she's waiting for.

Trucker reads the letter. Buck agess that he will not interfere in
Pam's life or his daughters. That's Pam's wishes. Maybe, Trucker says,
but what about his daughter's wishes? Maybe SHE wants to be found,
Trucker suggests.

Curtis says she has to realize this is for the better. What is? Dinah
Lee asks. Her break up with Trucker. He will always love his sister,
Curtis reminds her. STOP THIS! Dinah Lee says. Curtis says, stop what?
Dinah Lee asks him to leave the store. He says his father just bought
the store. Well, she'll leave and tell Buck about him. She says that
Buck won't like what he's doing. If it wasn't for that REDNECK, Curtis
yells, she'd be listening to him. There you go again, Dinah Lee yells
back, blaming everyone but YOURSELF! Ava comes over and tells Curtis
to leave or she'll call the cops. Curtis leaves. Ava tries to calm
Dinah Lee down, but she says it's not just Curtis. She's pregnant.

Ava sets her down. Is she sure? Dinah Lee said she was tested. And?
It's Trucker's! Dinah Lee says. She found out a couple of days
ago. She needed a couple of days to think about this. She hasn't told
Trucker? Ava asks. What's the point? They broke up, and he's still in
love with Trisha. She's DEAD! Ava says. This changes everything. Ava
says the signs that Trisha is alive weren't real, but this baby
is. Please, Ava says. Talk to Trucker.

Trucker says maybe she's interested in her father. Buck said he's not
sure he'd be a great father. He's a natural, Trucker says, look at how
he gets along with JJ and Chris. But, she's not a little kid, Buck
says, she's almost 19. She's in a big league ivy school. But, Trucker
says, is she too old to need a father? He's not a good father. He's
working for a man he can't stand. Trucker asks Buck's daughter's
name. He doesn't know. Doesn't he want to know her? Trucker asks.

Cooper and Steffi are arguing about staying with it. Cabot/Buddy says
you missed the chance - when opportunity knocks, you kiss it - on the
lips. Alex gets their attention and Cooper volunteers to go back into
Clay's office and get the papers. No, Alex says, take this camera.
Wow! Cooper says, real spy stuff. Alex gives him a look (I can tell
this even without Debbie's help...) and Cooper appologizes. Alex tells
Cooper how the camera works.

Alex turns the flash off. Steffi recognizes Buddy. Cooper calls her
over. He tells her that instead of stealing the papers, he's gonna
take pictures of them. Cooper says he'll go right over there now.
Alex tells him to get in contact with him the MINUTE he gets the
pictures developed. Cooper agrees and Alex leaves. Steffi tries to
point out Buddy/Cabot. Oh, the psychic, G-spot man? Cooper jokes.
Steffi wants them to go over there. Instead. Cooper wants Steffi to
think about backing off. She tells him he's nice. They kiss. Cooper
has the camera behind Steffi's back and his fingers accidentally hit
the button and he snaps a picture of Cabot/Buddy.

Buck tells the PI that he wants to find the daughter now. She's
suppose to be in some big league ivy school, Buck says. Buck leaves.
Curtis comes over to the PI and offers to quadruple whatever Buck is
giving him. What for? Whatever he has on Buck, Curtis says.

Chris welcomes Trucker home. Trucker tells the housekeeper that Buck
has a daughter. She is almost 19 now. He couldn't imagine Chris
growing up without him to watch. It would be terrible. He remembers
what it felt like when Trisha disappeared when she was pregnant. He
didn't know if he'd ever she her or their son again. He misses her, he
tells the housekeeper, as Dinah Lee comes to the house and
overhears. Trucker says, if he could just get Trisha back, his life
would be complete. Dinah Lee cries.
