     		     Friday, July 14th, 1995

Today's episode finds us with three storylines:

She Doth Protest too Much	with Angie and Jacob
Guess Who's Coming to Dinner	with Steffi and Tony
The Goodbye Girl with Stacy and Buck

[She Doth Protest too Much]

The scene opens in the Rodeo Bar. Jacob and Buck are talking. Buck is
telling Jacob that things are perfect, he and Stacy are back together and
tonight is the big night! In whirls a righteous Angie and she demands to
talk with Jacob. She's antagonistic as she accuses him of using her family
to get at her. She screeches at him and wants to know why in the hell he
didn't leave town? He cops an attitude back at her and asks since when does
she run his life? She harps about him giving Frankie advice to apply to NYU
Film School. A major life decision and he didn't consult her! Hey the
kid's grown pu. Exactly! Then she bellows about him sending her husband a
bottle of scotch. It was for his promotion. ... Wait, let me get this
straight. First you're bent out of shape cuz I helped your kid, then
because I was nice to your husband. Man, you're in a witch of a mood today
... She protests a bit too much and tells him that she just wants him to
stay out of her life.

Excuse me, I'm not the one who came looking for you! If you want me out of
your life than maybe you should stop hunting me down! ... Hmmmph ... You
know what I think? I think you're lying to yourself ... Me lie? ... Oh not
to anyone else, No Maam, just to yourself. You know all I ever wanted from
you was for you to fall in love with me. And you know what? I think you
have and that's what's got you so upset! ... After a commercial break ...
Angie tells him that he's the most arrogant person she's ever met ... Yeah,
he may have lied to everyone else but the one thing he never did was lie to
himself! ... We leave them with chests heaving and eyes glaring at each
other ....

[Guess who's coming to dinner]

Steffi, looking un=frumpy today and really cute in a soft green summer
dress which does make her look slightly pregnant considering her usual tiny
figure, is arguing with Tony in her hotel suite. She's packing, and he
quickly surmises that she's going to take Clay up on his offer to go to his
beach house in the Bahamas. She's furious that he's not leaving her alone,
especially after he dumps her clothes out of the suitcase and tells her that
she's not going anywhere.

He really gets to her when he tells her that he'd bet Clay's going to show
up on her doorstep with a bottle of sunscreen and a few days time on his
hands. Steffi thinks he's crazy and takes the bet. She gets on the phone
to Clay's office to ask him what his plans are and she gets Clay's secretary
instead ... Hi Nadine, it's Stephanie Brewster. Yeah I'm fine thanks. Is
Clay there? ... No, he just stepped out for a moment but he'll be right
back, we're pulling an all nighter ... Oh are you getting ready for a big
meeting? ... No, Clay's going away for a few days and we're trying to get
everything done ... Going away? Where? ... The Bahamas ... Gulp, oh thanks.
Bye ... She hangs up and says to Tony ... I hate you ...

Wait, I'm the one who's trying to help you stay away from all your sleazy
friends and I'm the one you hate> How come I'm always the one you take it
out on when somebody else dumps on you? ... Because you're here? ... Remind
me not to be next time. ... She tells him she hates it when he's right. He
says it's due to his training, he's been trained in logic. To plan for
anyting and always expect the unexpected. Steffi gets a gleam in her eye
and saunters up to Tony. She takes his face between her hands and kisses
him seductively. As she pulls back she asks him ... Did you expect that?
... A dazed Tony stammers ... Uh, No ... She smiles brightly and bounces
away ... Good, then I win and you LOSE! Now get out of here ... and she
easily scoots him out of the door and he's left there dumfounded staring at
the two AE bodyguards as Steffi laughingly closes the door.

[The goodbye girl]

Stacy's at home alone, wearing an awful farewell outfit. What were those
wardrobe guys thinking? The pants were too short for the shoes and the
sweater was just too plain! She's daydreaming and we see clips of her and
Buck together at various stages of their relationship. She calls Buck at
the Rodeo and tells him how much she loves him. Bunch of sexual overtones
as she tells him to hurry up and get his cute buns over there! You bet
maam.

Then the doorbell rings. From outside we see the killer hiding behind the
bushes. Stacy bends down and picks up the box. She takes it inside and
opens it. It's body talc. She reads the card ... SWEET DREAMS MY LOVE ...
oh no it's Jack!! ... the camera pans out the window and we see the killer's
hand drop the branch of the tree so it blocks their view and the picture
fades to black and white. Children's piano music plays the tune the itsy
bitsy spider and this time we hear a childs voice singing ... the itsy bitsy
spider crawled up the water spout, down came the rain and washed the spider
out ... fade to commercial.

Stacy's deliriously happy and ready for some great sex with Buck. Shee
phones Angie to share the excitement, but she's got her own excitement
stirring with Jacob at the Rodeo so Stacy gets her machine. She leaves a
message telling her how wonderful things are with Buck, everything in her
life is perfect, she's so happy and they need to get together for a long
lunch! She goes on about how relentless Buck is. She says she just got a
delivery from him and guess what it was? Body talc! How romantic. Well,
she'll call tomorrow and tell her all about it ... well at least the good
Doc will be able to use that clue in finding the murder weapon.

Shot of Stacy in her room, better outfit this time :), as she liberally
dusts herself with the powder of death. It goes on her legs, arms, neck,
heck all over her body! The phone rings, it's Buck. We see a shot of him
from the waste up looking into a steamy bathroom mirror as he's takes the
last couple of swipes with his razor over his lathered face. More goo goo
talk about how much they love each other. She pauses and tells him
something important ... You know Buck I've been thinking ... Oh no, it
sounds serious ... it is, but it's good. I've been thinking about all of
our time togther, all of it ... it wasn't all bad, there were some good
times ... Oh yeah, definitely. That' swhat I wanted to tell you. I
wouldn't have traded one minute of my time with you for anything ... Aw how
sweet. She tells him how ready she is for him, and for him to hurry. As
he's about to hang up she quickly adds with a sweet smile ... Oh yeah, and
thanks for the body talc! ... Click she's hung up the phone still smiling,
and we see Buck stare at the phone looking puzzled becasue he didn't send
her anything!

OK, now for the suspense. Will they let Stacy have one more romp in the
sack before they sack her? Will Buck have better timing with Stacy than he
did with finding out Janie was his daughter? Will his timing be better than
when he took off from Kuwait without Curtis leaving him to face Dante who
later came back to drive poor Curtis over the edge??

We see Stacy lying in her bed. Her hair is perfect. Her make up is
perfect. She's dressed in a peach negligee. She's lying on her back with
her legs slightly bent under her and with one arm thrown wantonly up above
her head. She looks quite inviting with her eyes shuut and a slight smile
playing on her mouth.

Buck runs up to the door with an ugly brown sports coat atop his usual jeans
and cowboy boots. He's carrying a bouquet of wildflowers. He rings the
bell, once, twice, three times and there's no answer. So he goes on in, and
takes the stairs two at a time as he yells for Stacy. Gee, he heads
straight for the bedroom. All that talk during the show's got him going.
He enters her bedroom and see's her lying there. He calls her name and
thinks she's playing a game and teasing him by not answering. He sits on
the bed and looks at her with love in his eyes. He tells her that she looks
like an angel. He bends down to kiss her. She doesn't respond. He calls
her name questionly ... Stacy? ... He frantically feels her face and body
... Oh My God! STACY? STACY!!! ... and the camera slowly pans up in an
ariel shot up away from them on the bed ..........

That's it for Friday!!
