Well, first the important news: Debbie (Monday updater) had a baby
boy last night (Monday). This makes the third of three kids born on a
Monday...no wonder she's the Monday updater. Her and Mondays. She
called me this morning but she didn't have many details. The boy is
Dalton Edward Minett and he was 6 lbs 12 ozs. She wasn't sure of the
time or length, since it was an emergency C-section (the cord was in
the way), so she was out of it.

Now, on to the news of Corinth for Tuesday, July 4th.

Buck camped out on Stacey's porch all night. Stacey throws the
flowers on him. He picks her up and takes her to the agency, where he
tries to get Tess to admit she set it all up. Instead, Tess says if
she plans on getting naked, to let her know so she can clear out the
impressional folks. Meanwhile, Richard (can I call you Dick, Tess
purrs), the reporter, tells her that he thinks she is the stalker.
They banter a bit, then Buck comes in. Tess tells Bree to make sure
the part goes off with no surprises. Joseline comes in looking for
office space (Tess had placed an ad). Tess shows her around. Stacey
quits. Bree begs her not to, she's loosing all her allies. Stacey
tells her to quit, too. Bree sighs and says she may want to, if this
party doesn't go perfectly. Tess takes Joseline off to see the office
space, Stacey gets on the phone. Yes, I saw your ad in the yellow
pages. How many do you have in stock? That many? No, I only need one.
It's for someone who deeply deserves it. Stacey has a wicked smile.

Tony tricked Steffi into seeing her mother at the Biastro. Jacob came
in to say he was quitting. Tony says he felt that, at a time like
this, there is nothing like a mother's love. Steffi says that woman
is nothing like a mother. Tony gets Steffi to say that Cooper dumped
her while Deborah was within hearing range. Deborah thinks it was
Steffi's fault for not goign with him to Paris. Steffi remind her
that the reason she didn't go to Paris with Cooper was that she had a
heart attack. Anyway, Steffi sobs, if he'd cheat on her now, he'd
cheat on her later. Deborah agrees and tells her she should be happy,
she has her whole life ahead of her, at her age, she was burdened
with a husband and child. Steffi says great, Mom, why don't you work
for a suicide prevention line? Steffi gets up to leave. Deborah goes
back to work. Tony says he can't beleive she didn't tell her mother.
Steffi says if he hates her so much, why doesn't he quit? Tony says
he doesn't hate her, but he is quitting. From now on, he's his, or
her
pointing to Steffi's stomach, bodyguard. Steffi smiles, and they
leave, with Tony's arm around her shoulder. Meanwhile, Neil is trying
to get Jacob not to give up on a place where he knows people, where
he wouldn't have to sleep alone at night. Jacob says that's not
likely to happen.

Angie and Frankie have a talk. She's a little nervous about the
upcoming wedding. He tells her that he got accepted at the NY Film
School. He says Jacob suggested it. They talk about the story she
used to tell him all the time about a momma bear who would force her
cub up a tree, even though he was afraid. Higher and higher, until he
liked it and climbed the tree all by himself. Then the momma bear
realized it was time to leave the cub, so she walked away. Well,
Frankie says, what happened to Momma bear? She went back to Papa bear
and slept all through the winter, tee hee hee. She says that she is
proud of him. He says that he knows this is mushy, but when he has
kids, he hopes he is the kind of parent that she was to him.
