Stephanie shows up at Tyra/Janie's hotel room. Stephy wants
to know what she meant about Clay using her. She demands to know
what he did to her. Janie says that she and Clay were lovers, plain
enough??

Clay's secretary tells him that Wendle wants Clay to call him as
soon as he gets in but he was in a jolly mood. Jer, Gwyn show up
at Clay's office. She asks how he would feel about having her around
here again. Jer says before you answer, be aware that this is a package`
and I'm part of the package.

Deborah is hung over drinking coffee. Coop enters and gives her a hard
time. The price you pay for having a good time. Coop says you
don't remember our heart-to-heart? No she says. Too bad Deborah,
it was a whole new side of you that I saw last night, and I liked
what I saw!

opening credits.

Coop says if my heart was really in it, Clay wouldn't have found me
out so fast. Coop says he doesn't really care why they got married,
he has his own life and he wants to get back to it. Coop was hoping
that they could become friends, without booze. Deborah says another
time. She excuses herself. Coop says she smells of roses....
After Deborah leaves, Coop says by george, I think I've got her...

Janie says that Clay is the one who should pay. She's had it with
this town and everyone in it. Janie says she knows a lot about her
and her boyfriend. Janie recounts Stephy's and Clay's history and
Stephy is shocked. Janie says Clay gave her all the details, they
were together when Stephy moved in. She says Clay broke it off
because he said he couldn't juggle three women, two were his limit.
Janie tells her to use the info. Stephy leaves upset. Janie looks
in the mirror and says she bought it, just like Cooper bought you,
proud of you girl?

Gwyn says that Wendle and he had been discussing a whole new image
and logo for Alden Enterprises because of the upcoming anniversary.
Wendle approached Gwyn to help with the new designs. Clay wants
a word with Jer. They promise not to throw anything at eachother.
Gwyn leaves. Clay says he doesn't want to work with Gwyn and if he
loved her at all, Jer would keep Gwyn very far away from Alden
Enterprises and him (Clay).

Jer says who's joking now? Jer is confused. Clay says that if Gwyn comes
back to work here she will be drawn back into the company and him.
Jer disagrees. Clay says it's not the time to test Gwyn. Jer
wants to know if he's in some kind of trouble? Wendle and Gwyn
enter...Wendle suggests they sign them before they get away.
Clay hems and haws... Wendle takes Clay aside. He's already
talked to some of the board members who are very excited at the
prospect of having Gwyn at Alden Enterprises again.

(and here I got interrupted and deb had to come to the rescue yet
again! Hey, atleast I made it through *half* of my update! And
here's Deb Graham's update of the second half.... (talk about
yer tag teams!))
------------------------------------------------------------------

Clay gets a phone call and he says OH NO! (it's bad news). He ushers
Wendle, Gwyn (who wants to know what's going on), and Jeremy out of
the office. Clay goes back to the phone and says he knew this would
happen. Find HIM! Or it's all over, Clay tells the person on the other
side of the phone.

Janie tells Cooper that she did what he wanted. He must really hate
Steffi to hurt her like that. Cooper tells her she can leave now. What
about the charges? she asks. Cooper says Gwyn called her lawyer and is
dropping the charges. Janie thinks maybe Cooper cares about Steffi.

Steffi is (in Clay's bedroom) remembering Clay and her making
love. Deborah comes in and asks her what is she doing there? Steffi
doesn't answer. Deborah says that she understands, but why is she
doing this to herself? Steffi wants to leave the house. Deborah says
that's a good idea, they'll get her an apartment. No, Stephy cries,
she wants to live in their house. She wants Deborah to come home with
her. Clay isn't good for either of them, Steffi cries. Deborah says
what about her modeling career? She's throwing it away. She is a
beautiful model, she is wasting herself in Corinth, she should be in
New York, or Paris, Deborah suggests. Yeah, Steffi says, anywhere
where CLAY isn't. She can't believe she fell for this again! Get OUT!
Steffi screams. Deborah says, ok, but when she's calmer, they have to
talk. G E T O U T ! Steffi screams. Deborah leaves, and Steffi cries.

Janie and someone are talking. He mentions that she had a short stay
at the Corinth Towers. Janie tells him that she knows how to stretch a
buck, and she'll need to if she's gonna stay, if she's gonna stay.

Cooper is giddy, Steffi comes in and he's happy, babbling about the
Cradle foundation, and the envelope, and he finally sees she's
upset. She says he was right, Clay was only using her. She says she
needs a sign that reads, "Kick me, use me, toss me away". Cooper says
that she can't still love Clay. She says yes, it's stupid, but she
still loves him. She's hysterical, Cooper tells her that it wasn't
Clay that hurt her this time, it was him.

Wendle and Gwyn and Jeremy are outside the office, celebrating the
victory for the Wilder and Hunter Agency. Wendle expresses his
confidence in their ability to handle the job. Deborah barges into
Clay's office, right past the secretary. Deborah says strange things
are happening: Cooper is friendly, Steffi is hysterical...Clay says
weirder than she knows. The bough broke, the cradle has fallen. OH NO!
Deborah says. Clay wonders if he's coming home.
