Subject: LOVING Update, Thursday, June 16, 1994
Status: R

I will no longer be your Thursday update. I will now be your Wednesday
updater. Karin and I switched days. See you next Wednesday! (I hope I
remember...:-))

Leo says, allow me, Mrs. Burnell as he pulls the chair out for
her. Shana is happy, she likes that name, politically incorrect as it
may be. They are in Rome with Patty for their honeymoon.

Dinah Lee tells Trucker she knows that Trucker wanted some time
alone. He invites her in. She says she can't stay, she just came to
say goodbye, forever this time.

Clay asks Deborah if she went shopping. She says she only spent SOME
of his...ah, THEIR money. She left him some. Clay says that his
personal papers have been rearranged. Deborah says that she didn't do
it. Clay suggests Steffi. Deborah says no, Steffi is resigned to their
situation. Well, Clay says, that narrows the choices. Deborah sees
Cooper. Clay warns Coop not to interfer. Of course, Steffi is
eavesdropping.

Cooper says, so you guys are hiding something? Deborah tells him that
if the four of them are to live together, they all need privacy.
Cooper admits that he did go throught the files. He was looking for
somethig about his father. Clay asks why he didn't ask. Cooper says he
didn't think Clay would understand. Deborah says what a touching
story. Cooper says it's good that she's touched. Steffi comes down
after Clay and Deborah leave and she thanks Cooper for taking the
heat. She appologizes for not putting the stuff back as she found it,
but said there was a drawer with a fake bottom. He tells her any idiot
would know that if Deborah had anything on Clay, she'd have it, not
Clay. Steffi gets Cooper to join her team to find out what Deborah has
on Clay. He wants her to let him dig and for her to stay out of it.

Leo tells Shana all the plans he has. He has tickets for the opera. He
speaks Italian (You Ain't Seen Nothing Yet...in Italian)...he tells
Shana he's been studying. Shana asks if he's thinking of them moving
here?

Trucker wants Dinah Lee to come inside and talk to him. He asks why
are the blinds drawn? Oh, she came by earlier and must have forgotten
to open them again. When she got here, Ava was waiting with a
psychic. She tells him to listen to her. Dinah Lee tells him that the
woman knew things. Dinah Lee was getting desperate, and she felt
Trucker slipping away. So she asked the psychic to contact Trisha.
But, she couldn't. Dinah Lee says they all came away from the seance
with the feeling that Trisha is still alive, and she can't ask him to
choose between her and Trisha, cause he still belongs to Trisha.

Clay asks Deborah how long she thinks she can get away with this. If
Cooper suspects something is up, he'll dig. Will he find anything?
Deborah says she has the evidence, unless Clay is not telling her
something. Clay and Deborah argue about Deborah's things in Clay's
bedroom. He was tossing them around, trying to get her to take them
out of the bedroom. Steffi comes in and asks if she's interrupting
anything.

Dinah Lee asks Trucker if Trisha showed up today, what would he do?
Trucker says how can he answer that? Dinah Lee says, honestly,
please. He says if she showed up, he'd have to tell her how in love
with Dinah Lee he is, cause he is in love with her. Please come this
way, he says.

Shana says he can't let him give up everything. He has the store, and
it's draggin him down, he wants out. What about Patti, Shana says, she
has problems, you know. He checked out the schools, and next year,
she'd be bi-lingual. What about a house? She asks. He says that would
be no problem. What would he do? He jokes about running a pizza
place. He actually is thinking about manufacturing. Shana says what
about the friends? She doesn't know a soul here in Rome... Meanwhile,
Jeff is remembering meeting Trisha at the diner. She says she thinks
she left a bad situation. She jokes that he doesn't need a secretary
or something, does he?. He offers to think about it while they dance.

Deborah tells Steffi that everything's fine, they were having a
domestic...Clay interrupts, saying that he wants to talk to
Steffi. Deborah leaves, Clay says he wishes he could tell her
everything. He can, she says. She kisses him, as he's telling her that
he's not good for her. Steffi kisses him as she asks him to admit that
he loves her, not her mother. What kind of man would that make him,
Clay asks. Clay leaves. Steffi looks at the mess and says (to
herself), Mother, you should be nicer to your things. She finds a key,
just as Cooper comes in. He tells her that's a key to a safety deposit
box.

Trucker and Dinah Lee are in bed. He tells her that he and Alex went
to the place where Trisha's car crashed. That must have been hard on
him, she remarks. It wasn't easy, he says. They were getting ready to
leave, and they got a call that no one ever identified the body. So,
Dinah Lee says, she may not have been in the car. This will be hard on
everyone that loved her. Dinah Lee says she understands, and she'll be
beside him, all the way. And that he should do whatever he has to do
to find Trisha.

Jeff sees Shana and runs into a waiter while trying to leave the
restraunt, who drops his tray, making a racket. Shana says, Jack? She
calls him Jack, and then finally calls him Jeff Hartman, and
introduces him to Leo, her husband, and Patti, their daughter. Patti?
Jeff says. Yeah, she was named for Trisha. So, Shana says, you here
alone?
