From: Robert Willers <willers@trombone.sps.mot.com>

Since Karin spaced last Friday's update, and I've finally caught up, I
will go ahead and do updates for both of the last two Fridays.

Due to failures of our two "good" VCRs, we have had to haul out my old
reliable 14-year-old JVC. Unfortunately, it has no remote control, so
I will be doing this update as if I was watching live (in other words,
Debbie-style). So now I run to the VCR, press start, run back, and...

LOVING Speedy-Update for Friday, May 26:

STORYLINE: DRUG-RUNNING
 (location: Kate's house)
* Ally runs in and hugs Tyler. Kate comes out and says she has the
$5,000, a cashier's check. Ally says she no longer needs the money.
She says she and Tyler are going to go out of town for a few days.
Ava comes out and asks if they are running *to* or *from* something.
* Ava tells Ally that Casey is bringing trouble into her life. Ally
says this has *nothing* to do with Casey. The issue of the $5,000
comes up and Ally continues to lie about needing it for the house.
Then, she admits she needed it to try to get Casey out of the drug
situation. Ava tells Kate that Casey is working with the cops. Ally
says she went to Danny and tried to buy Casey out, but he didn't want
the money, he wanted *her*. Kate decides she's right and they'll get
to the airport right away. Ava says that it doesn't matter; Danny
will find her no matter how far away she goes.
* Ally says Casey did it for them and for the nine-year-old girl who
died. Kate takes Tyler to get him ready for the airport. Ava says
it is Casey who should get on the plane. Ally assures her that this
is almost over -- he took some photos and gave them to the cops.
Kate brings Tyler back in, cleaned up and ready to go. Ally says she
will go ahead and drive herself. She promises that the three of them
will be over for dinner soon. She asks if they can have meat loaf.
Kate says Casey doesn't like meat loaf. Ally says he hasn't had hers.
 They leave.
* None.

STORYLINE: STRIKE THREE
 (location: Stephy's hotel room)
* Brianna puts a chair up against the door to keep the intruder out.
Stephanie says the only man she wants to see is Cooper, and he's far,
far away. Bri says that if she had a man as fine as Cooper, she'd
feel the same way. They discuss the intruder. Stephy thanks Bri for
being her bodyguard. Bri says she could get into this lifestyle; she
says she watched THE BREAKFAST CLUB at 3:30 AM. Stephy observes that
Bri must not have gotten much sleep either.
* None.
* Brianna asks what she is going to do about the whacko. She suggests
that Stephy go to Paris. She says she'd love to go back. "Go back?
You've been there?" Bri says her father designed buildings, and they
went all over when she was a kid. After some small talk, Bri promises
to sleep tonight. Stephy suddenly remembers a photo shoot she has
this morning. She gets into the shower. Brianna opens the closet,
sees a note (?) and screams!
* Stephy gets out of the shower. Brianna's dress is ripped. She sees
a note: "Stay away from Steffi". [I still maintain that "Stephy" is
the correct abbreviation for Stephanie. The only "Steffi" I've ever
heard of is a German tennis player.]

STORYLINE: ON THE RUN
 (starting location: Angie's office)
* Angie puts the tape of "Angie's Song" in and begins to listen.
Frankie comes in; Angie doesn't notice him at first. He asks what the
tape is. She says it is just a medical conference. She tells Frankie
that Charles is trying to save Jacob's life and asks him to stop trying
 to play detective.
Alex enters and says the poison in Jacob's IV is a rare, slow-acting
poison which is rarely found outside a laboratory. If they don't find
him soon, he's a dead man.
[In the woods.]
Jacob says his head hurts. Charles tells him to cut the act. Jacob
 collapses.
* [At Angie's office.]
Angie says they have to find Jacob. Alex says that if he dies, she
couldn't find a jury in the country that wouldn't convict Charles.
[In the woods.]
Jacob gets up, sort of. Charles says he'll feel better if he drinks
some water. "Water. Now why didn't I think of that?" Charles hauls
 him off.
* [At Angie's office.]
Angie calls Jeremy to ask if his friend at the TV station wants an
exclusive interview. He says that he and his friend will be there.
Alex asks Frankie what he thinks of Tess. He says he'd rather not say,
because he'd probably get fired. Frankie asks if he thinks Tess did
it. No. Alex assures Angie that he will do everything he can for
 Charles.
[In the woods.]
Jacob drinks some water. He says what he has feels like the flu. He
says he's not sure about the "twisted plots and evil lady shrinks" and
everything Charles is talking about. He tells him a little about his
son -- at age ten, he could already sight-read music. His wife was
thinking Carnegie Hall and he was thinking little smoky jazz clubs.
"Dead kids don't play the blues. Is that simple enough for you,
Charlie-boy?" Charles retaliates, asking if the reason he told Angie
he was in love with her was to get back at him.
* [At Angie's office.]
Angie says the TV crew will be there soon and things will be better.
Frankie protests, saying he's tired of being treated like a kid and
sheltered. Angie tells him, "man-to-man," that this is about Jessie
as well, and that all of her training and all of her love couldn't
save him. It feels to her like it is all happening again, and she
has to find a way to help him, it will be like Jessie dying all over
 again.
[In the woods.]
Charles says he can understand how Jacob hates him, but he can't figure
out why he would use a woman. Jacob says Charles can think what he
wants, but a man can tell when a woman has a "thing" for him. Charles
gets mad and pulls Jacob up, then down to the ground.
