LOVING Mini-Update for Thursday, May 4:

STORYLINE: I'M GETTING MARRIED IN THE MORNING (?)
Charles, after hearing that Jacob told Angie that he loves her, starts
to leave. Angie is worried that he will break Jacob's legs. Charles
says no, this is the new Charles Harrison, the one who does nothing
until he has all the facts. When he does, though, a broken leg will be
 the *least* of Jacob's problems.
Angie asks Charles to not make her sorry she told him. Charles asks if
Angie thinks Jacob loves her. She says she thinks he thinks he does.
Charles asks why she suddenly thinks he isn't lying. Angie asks if
it is so difficult to believe that a man would fall in love with her.
She says she never wants to see him or hear his name again. Charles
says Jacob is coming between them; Angie says it is because Charles is
letting him do so. Angie stops the argument by asking Charles to get
married now. Charles wonders why, all of a sudden, this big urge to
 get married.
Charles wonders why Angie was going full-speed on the wedding until a
couple of months ago, then now, suddenly, "let's get married." Angie
asks if he is implying that she has some deep feelings for Jacob. She
says Charles has been angry and suspicious since Jacob came to town.
She accuses him of doubting that she loves her, and that's why she
wants to get married. He says he loves her and he knows she loves him.
Not for long, says Angie, if they keep up like this. Charles says they
should get married to move forward, not to run away from something. He
says they won't be happy as long as Jacob is hanging around, not until
they have the answers about him.
She says you start a marriage with two people who love each other and a
Justice of the Peace. She says she is scared that they are slipping
away from each other. He says that isn't happening. "Please love me."
She pushes him down on the couch. They kiss. Suddenly, Charles pulls
away. He flashes back to an explosion. She asks what is wrong. He
says he can't remember. She asks him to hold her, it'll be OK.

STORYLINE: OF LOVE AND DRUGS
Ava suggests to Ally that she stay in Trucker's cabin (Dinah Lee left
her the keys). Ally takes the keys and thanks "Aunt Ava." Ava says
she is too young to be called an aunt. Ally leaves. Ava calls the
police station to speak to Alex, but he isn't there.
At Casey's place, Casey is sad that he gave "that kid" 1/4 kilo of
cocaine. Alex tells Casey not to worry; he has men busting the kid
 as they speak.
Casey is mad that he is busting the kid because they will tie it in with
him. Alex says they are bringing in a number of kids to ask about the
girl who died; this kid is from her neighborhood. After Casey calms
down, Alex asks what he is going to do with the kilo the kid brought
over -- "you know they will want to be paid." Casey says he doesn't
have that kind of money. Alex says they will go to Detective Graham
for it, and he will tell Graham what it is for, but not name Casey.
Alex leaves to have a chat with the kid. He admonishes Casey not to
 use any of the drugs.
At the police station, the kids are being herded in. Graham enters and
asks if they are running a day care center. Alex tells Graham that
they have someone "on the inside." Graham asks if that will just get
them more punks like this. No, says Alex, he'll get them all the way
to the top. Graham tells him to be sure and tell him when he does.
Alex agrees and goes over to the kid. The officer pulls out the 1/4
kilo ("a little after-shave talc") and hands it to Alex, who notes that
the kid isn't even old enough to shave. The kid insists that he picked
up the wrong jacket at the coffee shop. He says this won't stick, and
asks Alex what he really wants from him. "A little bit of your time."
The kid says he means a little of his lawyer's time. Alex says he has
enough right now to put him behind bars until he is 21; he wants to
know where he got the drugs. "At the drug store." Alex makes a deal:
tell me the owner of the store and he'll cut him a deal. The kid says,
"Gee, thanks." Alex says his offer expires in about two minutes...
Ava strolls in (in her pink outfit, which looks rather strange against
the dark colors of the police station) and asks where he has been. He
pushes her away, saying this is not the time. When she tries to tell
him about Ally, he tells her to shut up; when she doesn't, he asks what
is wrong with her. She asks what's wrong with him; he says, "I'm busy
 here. Can't you see that?"
At Casey's apartment, he has individually-bagged the cocaine and put
away the equipment. As he wipes his hands, he recalls telling Ally
that he is back on drugs. There's a knock on the door: it is Ally.
He asks her to go away as he puts the drugs away. She says she isn't
going anywhere until he talks to her. He insists he has taken some
drugs, but she says he doesn't look wired. OK, then, I guess it is
time for some more lines. "Do you want some?" He pulls out a baggie.
She says, "I'd do just about anything..." Casey calls her Saint Ally
of Corinth and says nothing ruins a party as fast as a saint. She
says she is sorry to put a damper on things. He invites her to leave,
but she says she isn't going anywhere.
Alex tells Ava never to "pull a stunt like this again." She says she
has come down hundreds of time. He says he is busy. She saw him
questioning a kid, big deal. He says the kid is a drug dealer, and
produces the 1/4 kilo. She asks if this has anything to do with Casey.
That makes Alex mad: "I want you to take your butt home and don't bring
it back here unless I tell you to. Got it?" Ava says she "got it" and
 stomps out.
Casey asks Ally what her problem is. He says he doesn't want her there.
She says she doesn't want to lose him. No matter what, she won't stop
loving him, and she knows he loves her. He says he *used to* love her.
"Don't say that." "It's the truth." She says she is staying until he
sobers up. He says he hopes she packed a lunch, because that will be a
very long time. She says she can wait. Casey says she can stay; he'll
leave. "Wait!" She pleads with him to come with her to Trucker's
cabin. He tells her he hopes the fresh air does her some good. "Come
with me." "I think I'll pass." "Well, um, try not to kill yourself."
"I won't." "I'm not so sure about that." He opens the door, she goes
to leave. "I love you very much...and I always will." She leaves.
Casey shuts and latches the door. He sits on the desk and eyes the
 baggie of cocaine, sadly.
