OK, guys, here goes...I'm gonna try sending this to the mailing list via my
husband's netcom account. Hopefully the Eudora program will prevent weird
punctuation problems. Wish me luck!

Loving update April 20, 1995

Stacey comes into the agency and Brie tells here there was a message form a
Mr. Tohey at the bank, but Brie can't find the message. Frankie comes
in,and he and Brie chat about how nervous they are about their new endevour.
Tess comes in and calls a meeting in her office. Stacey notes that Tess is
wearing the same dress as yesterday; she takes it as a good sign regarding
their new account (ie, Tess slept with the client). Then there's a close up
of a phone message in the rack.

Ava and Alex say goodbye and she goes to work. Casey appears at Alex's
door, and comes in. Alex cautions Casey that his plan regarding Danny is
dangerous, but Casey isn't impressed. He says he just stopped by to drop
off a "little present" and tosses a big bag of white powder to Alex.

Charles is drinking orange juice and flashes back to the evening when Jacob
introduced Tonya as his sister. Charles then calls in sick to the station
and starts to leave. Angie, in a flaming orange satin nightgown ensemble,
catches him rushing out the door and wants to know "what's going on," he was
tossing and turning all night. Charles, blinking at the blinding orange
spectacle before him, replies he's keyed up about the drug case; he has a
lead and plans to follow it with Alex. Angie suggests inviting Ava and Alex
over; her car is fixed already, it was a "loose ignition." She wants to
work late, since Charles says he's going to be out late. Charles tells her
to be careful; she gets defensive about Jacob popping up all the time. She
tells Charles that Jacob's great with the kids in the hospital and Charles
starts to get irritated. Before he leaves, he says he thinks their "tossing
and turning" will be over with today.

Alex, agitated, tells Casey he's out of his mind, that he's going to have to
arrest him now and that Casey will be "up for life." Casey replies "it's
bogus;" baby powder. Danny gave it to him to sell, and Casey doesn't know
what to do with it. If he sells it on the street, he'll be dead, and if he
doesn't, Danny will be after him. He asks for Alex's help, but all Alex can
offer is to "throw his butt in jail" where he'll be safe. Ava suddenly
comes back in unexpectedly, having forgotten her briefcase.

The agency staff is meeting in Tess' office. She reports dinner went well,
and Stacey makes several snide comments referring to Tess' sexual behavior.
Tess reports they got the account, but unless Mr. Barnes likes the
commercial, they could easily lose it. She tells Frankie and Brie to get to
work as fast as possible. She asks Brie to call Jacob Johnson and get him
to the agency. Frankie wants to know how Jacob's involved and Tess tells
him he's doing the music for the spot "because he's talented." Tess hustles
Fankie and Brie out of her office. Tess turns to Stacey and tells her to
stop the sarcastic comments. Stacey eggs her on with some more taunts. She
goes so far as to imply that Tess would be a prostitute if the agency went
under. Tess gets really angry and tells Stacey they need to get something
straightened out: she's the one who signs Stacey's checks and insists that
Stacey stop humiliating her in front of the employees. Stacey counters that
the staff's not paid enought to tolerate Tess' humiliating *them.* Tess
tells her she should quit if she doesn't like it and Stacey says in fact,
she doesn't know how much more she can take. Tess mocks Stacey, calling her
a "dilettante" who can't take criticism. They argue and trade snide
comments for awhile, then Stacey leaves after telling Tess not to
underestimate her.

Brie and Frankie are hanging out at the reception desk. Brie comments that
his mood changed when Jacob Johnson's name was mentioned. Frankie says he's
fine, he'll work with anybody who can get the job done. He leaves to get to
work on the storyboard.

Angie's in her office humming "This Old Man" and remembering Jacob and the
kids in the hospital. She smiles fondly.

Casey tells Ava he's there to discuss his case with Alex. Ava tells Casey
that Allie was upset about Casey and his reaction to the little girl's OD.
Casey assures Ava he's fine. Ava leaves again. Alex advises Casey to call
Danny and quit because he gave Casey bogus drugs to sell. Casey refuses; he
has to keep working for Danny because he wants to "nail" those responsible
for the little girl's death. Casey says he'll ask Danny for another chance
with "real stuff," and asks Alex for back-up. Alex says he'll think about
it. He obviously hates the whole idea.

Tess is in her office looking at the phone message for Staey form the
banker, Mr. Tohey. It says,"Your loan problem has been resolved." Brie
comes in and asks Tess (who has hidden the message) if she got Stacey's
message by accident, and Tess says she never saw it. Brie leaves. Tess
calls Stacey in to her office. When Stacey arrives, Tess tells her she
doesn't want to fight anymore, and apologizes. She says she wants a truce.
Stacey's wary, but (SUCKER!) she agrees, and they shake on it. As Stacey's
leaving, Tess tells her to "congratulate Buck on the loan." Stacey looks
confused and leaves. Tess is very pleased with herself.

Alex calls Angie looking for Charles. She's confused because she thought he
was working on the drug case with Alex. Alex informs her Charles called in
sick. They ask each other "if you see Charles, have him call me." Angie
looks bewildered and hangs up.

Charles is skulking around somebody's apartment. The resident, Tonya, comes
in, Charles scares her and she asks what he wants. He answers that he wants
some answers about her "dear brother Jacob."
