From: minett@seismo.css.gov (Debbie Minett)

This update is dedicated to Deb Graham, the unofficial leader of
this group (IMHO), founder of the Loving FAQ, and all around great
person, who was unexpectantly laid off of her job and quite suddenly
lost net access. I now have the FAQ file if anyone needs it.
We're also still looking for a new Wednesday updater - please contact
me if you can do it. I'll be filling in on Wednesdays as best I
can until someone else can take over (or please, please, please...Deb
gets another job with net access).

Steffy is at work and being made up. The receptionist says "she's"
on the phone again insisting on talking to her.
Steffy dodges the call. Gwyn assumes its the Paris lady
but Steffy admits its Deborah she's refusing to talk to.
the receptionist is telling deb that Steffy won't come to the phone when
Tess walks by and accuses her of making personal calls... Tess stomps
off and Frankie comes by also in a bad mood. The receptionist doesn't
understand what's wrong with everyone today.

Alex, Charles and Det. Graham are at the station. Alex gives
Charles a list of all the suspects in a drug investigation.
Charles can't concentrate and keeps talking about Jacob. Alex wants
him to let it go. Charles says he can't. Alex says its giving
him problems.

At the Rodeo, Angie pauses outside and says to herself what am I
doing, this is crazy... she walks away.

opening credits.

Alex and Charles talk. Alex says he's beating a dead horse... you
can't make a mountain out of a mole hill... he spews some more stuff..
Charles says his gut tells him he's up to something... Alex
wants him to pretend this guy doesn't exist. Alex tries to talk
about the drug ring and Charles keeps talking about Jacob. He says
Jacob Johnson is bad news... Alex reminds him the prints came
up clean. Alex says he kinda understands... but the guy hasn't
done anything wrong, he hasn't broken the law. Charles wants
to talk to the man. He says how would you feel if someone who
looked like Ava's ex showed up in Corinth. Alex says well I am her
ex and I did show up in Corinth. Alex tells him if he wants to go gunning for
someone, go after the drug guys. Another policeman comes in and
gives Charles a paper. Charles tells Alex he has to go. Alex
surmises its Jacob's address and dashes after him.

Steffy tells Gwyn that Deb is driving her crazy. Steffy tells
her that they were having a conversation... Tess interrupts...
she asks for two seconds and Tess reluctantly tells her take her
time, no problem... Steffy laughs and says Tess is being nice...
Gwyn tells Steffy if she ever needs to talk...anytime... Steffy
thanks her... she says its just I thought it was ok to tell Deb
about the job...but any time I tell her about myself, she always
turns it around and makes it about her... she tells about Deb's
lost opportunity to go to Paris... Steph says she feels guilty cause
she knows Deb has had a hard time practically raising her on her
own. Gwyn tells her she can't spend her life feeling guilty...
Steph says she can't help it.

The receptionist says she doesn't want to belong to the crabby
club... She goads Frankie into laughing.. .he offers her pizza
after work and Angie interrupts saying she has to talk to Frankie.
It can't wait. It's about you Frankie....

Jacob turns on a song on a tape player and goes through his
cigar box again.... He lays down on the bed and
stares at a picture of Angie... He rolls onto his back and
looks sad as he gazes at the picture.

Angie says she was worried about Frankie taking off this morning.
Frankie starts to argue about Charles. Angie says she knows that
Charles can be ruff but he cares about him. He says Charles treats
him like a kid. Angie says maybe Frankie should start not acting like
one. Angie says from now on he and Charles are on their own, she's
tired of playing referee... Angie wants things to work out... she's
waited so long since his dad... Frankie understands... Angie says,
so what was he like, this Jacob Johnson. Frankie says he knows
he shouldn't have talked to him. Angie admits that she went to the
bistro but couldn't go inside. Frankie says it was a real head trip.
Angie says does he... Frankie says yep, he looks a whole lot like
dad. Angie asks if he sounds like Jesse. Frankie says yes, I guess...
but he's not dad.... he's nothing like my father... Angie says of
course not..but... what IS he like? Frankie is shocked...

A shot of Jacob on the bed... pan to outside where Charles
is about to pound on the door. Alex comes up and tries to stop
him. he asks Charles to be cool... Alex gets Charles to let him
knock on the door. Jacob puts his box away, turns off the music
and opens the door... Well, well, well...if it isn't the cop who
likes to talk his perpetrators to death... Alex and Charles enter
and Charles introduces himself. Jacob says he'll alert the press...
Charles says he has a few questions, for starters, what the hell
are you doing here in Corinth? Jacob wants to know if he needs
a lawyer.. Jacob says this sounds like harassment, either arrest me
or get the hell out of my room. Charles looses it and grabs Jacob's
collar... What the Hell do you want? he growls...

STephy twirls in the lingerie she's modeling. Gwyn says she looks
like a princess. They commiserate about Deborah. Gwyn talks about
Trisha and how in a lot of ways her and Trisha are like Deb and Steffy.
Gwyn says if she had a chance to do it all over again, she'd
probably do a lot of the same things Stephy says that she
doesn't know what Gwyn was like then but she's really sweet to people
now.... Gwyn thanks her... She says Deb must have done something
right to have one wonderful kid here... Tess interrupts and wants
to get on with the shoot. (Funny how it doesn't bother Steph that
Gwyn turned the story around to talk about Gwyn and Trisha, huh?)

Angie wants to be prepared in case she runs into Jacob. Frankie
doesn't think she will. Angie says she might. Frankie says you
want to meet him, don't you? Angie admits she doesn't know. She
guesses she's a little afraid. Why asks Frankie. Angie says what
it might bring back. I was watching him through the window and
even though I couldn't see his face it made me think of your father.
My hands were shaking, it's just been so hard getting over Jesse.
It's been such a long time but I just wanted to say goodbye to him.
I don't want to loose Charles, I can't...

Charles roughs up Jacob. What's the problem detective, do I remind
you of somebody?? Charles grabs him again. Are you loosing it
Charlie-boy? That's what happens to cops like you. Alex holds
Charles back and gets him to leave.. he turns to Jacob and says,
Not Smart... Jacob says, you're right (to the closed door), not
smart at all... he picks up a piece of furniture and throws it
across the room....

I-miss-my-bud-and-I-don't-mean-beer-hanger :-( ....

Debbie
