Subject: LOV: Update for Friday, March 3
Status: R

LOVING bonus summary for Thursday, March 2:

After they make love, Ally asks Casey where they go from there. Casey
says that noone can help him; he has to get off the drugs for *himself*.
They both say they love each other, but they agree that staying apart
is best for both of them, for now. Then, as Ally starts to leave, Casey
begs her to "Stay." She turns and runs into his arms.

Cooper decides to go back to Alden Enterprises (not knowing that Cabot
now knows he didn't run Clay down). Stephanie can't believe it -- she
wants to have as little as possible to do with Clay (he's now AE CEO).

Stacey and Buck have her kids and Christopher at Pins. Buck plays
"daddy" to Christopher, teaching him to bowl. Stacey says he is using
Christopher as a "crutch" to get over Janie.

Meanwhile, Dinah Lee returns to Ava's penthouse. DL explains why she
had to let Trucker go to find Trisha. She says she came back to put
her life back together, and to take care of Christopher. Ava tries to
convince her to *use* Christopher to get Trucker back. Dinah Lee seems
not to want to do that...

Hanger: Dinah Lee shows up at Pins. She hugs Christopher and proclaims
that she is there to take care of him. Buck is stunned.

LOVING Update for Friday, March 3:

STORYLINE: JESSE 2
 (location: Wilder ad agency)
* Frankie is nervously sorting some papers. Jeremy enters. Frankie
tells him that "the guy who looks like dad" called the house and
 wanted to speak to Angie.
* Frankie says as soon as he told Jacob that Angie wasn't there, Jacob
hung up. Jeremy asks if he has talked to Buck yet. He says he hasn't
been able to get over to Pins; Tess is on the warpath. Jeremy says he
is going there now and he will talk to Buck about it. The FAX machine
answers a call. Frankie asks him to call if he finds out anything.
Jeremy says he will call regardless, and leaves.
Breanna picks up the FAX and says it is good news for Stephanie. She
wants to deliver it personally. Frankie says he doesn't know where
she is, but she is staying at the Corinth Towers. Bre leaves.
Frankie pulls out the drawing of Jacob. "He looks just like you,
 dad."
* [At Pins.]
Jeremy asks Buck what he knows about Jacob Johnson. Not much, his car
broke down and I gave him a lift. Is he going to stay in Corinth.
Buck says he doesn't have much of a choice until his car gets fixed.
Jeremy asks what else he can tell him. Buck says he thinks he got a
job at Le Bistro -- Deborah called him asking for a reference. Jeremy
 leaves.
* [This storyline merges with two others. See below.]

STORYLINE: AUNTIE DINAH LEE
 (location: Pins)
* Dinah Lee, Christopher and Kate are at a table. Chris asks DL if his
daddy is really looking for his mommy. Yes. He asks if she is going
 to come home with him.
Meanwhile, at the bar, Stacey offers to buy Buck a beer. He is staring
at Christopher's table and asks if she was talking to him. She says
no, she was talking to J. J., but she doesn't think he should drink on
a school night. Buck, still "gone," says she's right, he shouldn't.
He snaps out and apologizes, but he says he wishes he knew what she was
saying to him. He says he knows she is great with him, but after all
Christopher has been through, Buck thinks he needs to be with *family*
 right now.
Dinah Lee produces a gift for Chris from Trucker. "What is it?"
* Christopher opens the gift - a yellow race car and a letter. Dinah
Lee starts to read the letter to him.
Shot of Buck and Stacey, who are watching carefully.
"'As you know, I have been looking for your mom. I hope to find her and
to bring her home, but I want to you know that both your mom and I love
you more than anything.' I love you too, sweetheart." "I love you,
Dinah Lee. [Pause. Dinah Lee smiles.] What else does he say?" "'I
pray for you every night before I go to bed. Don't forget to put your
mom and me in your prayers. I'll keep calling whenever I get a chance.
And remember, I'm very proud of you. Be a good boy. I love you.
Daddy.'" Dinah Lee looks up at Buck. He returns a cold stare.
* Jeremy, on his way out of Pins, sees Dinah Lee. He gives her a hug
and asks how she is doing. Fine. He offers her a place to stay. She
says she is going to stay at The Tides and take care of Christopher.
 Another blank stare from Buck.
* Dinah Lee thanks Stacey and Buck for taking care of Chris while she
was gone. Buck says she doesn't have to thank him, he's family -- "I'm
his uncle." Dinah Lee says she hopes they don't mind if she takes him
home early so she can settle him down in his room at The Tides. Buck
says maybe it would be best to leave him where he's at right now -- it
is good for him to be part of a family. Dinah Lee says she knows that.
She says Trucker asked her to take care of him. She'll bring him over
a lot for visits. The kids run up. Chris says bye to everyone. DL
asks everyone over for dinner tomorrow night. Stacey says they can't
come, they have a PTA meeting. "Some other time, then." She picks
 Christopher up and they leave.
Stacey asks Buck if he is OK. "Yeah."

STORYLINE: COOPER WASHES DISHES?
 (location: nice restaurant)
* Cooper and Stephanie are waiting nervously. (Cooper is putting salt
in his coffee.) He says his phone call to Cabot was a little weird --
Cabot wouldn't let him get a word in edgewise and wanted them to meet
him there. Cooper says if Cabot won't let him back into the company,
he can wash dishes. Stephanie cracks up. Cooper says he washed a
dish once -- a small one.
Cabot and Isabelle enter. Cooper offers to buy them drinks. Cabot
says, "Well, before we do anything, I just want to say that Clay told
us everything." "About...?" "About the accident, about the affair."
Cooper starts to babble. Isabelle interrupts, saying they know and it
is all right. Cooper asks exactly *what* they know. Cabot says, "That
you had nothing whatever to do with any of it." Cooper is stunned and
 relieved.
* As the wine is being poured, Isabelle says she *knew* this all along
in her heart. Stephanie says she can't believe they are having this
conversation. Cabot says he hopes all of this is behind them. Cooper
tells Stephanie that they should tell them the other secret. Stephy
asks if they *really* should. Cabot and Isabelle are worried, but
Cooper says it is something they'll like: that they are engaged. They
heartily congratulate them. Stephanie says they owe it all to "Buddy."
Cabot says, "Nonsense. True love always prevails." Isabelle asks if
they have set a date. Nope, but Cooper says that if he had his way,
they would already be married, but he tells Cabot he has to ask him a
question first. "Of course you have it." "Have what?" "My blessing."
Cooper says that's great, but that wasn't the original question. Cabot
asks what the original question was. "I need a job."
* Isabelle asks about his school. Cooper says he can go part-time and
finish by next fall. Cabot asks if he thinks Alden Enterprises is
really the right place for him. Cooper says that last time, he took
the job because Cabot wanted him to; this time, he wants it himself.
Cabot asks about Clay. He says it is vital that they show a united
front to the shareholders, so can he work with Clay? Cooper says he
thinks they can put it behind them for the sake of the company. He
says that with all of this, he knows what matters to him now, and it
is Stephanie that matters the most. "Thank you." Cabot and Isabelle
smile and offer a toast for a happy life for them. Cooper adds the
Alden family and their future to the toast.
* Cabot says he'll talk to Clay; he's sure they can find him something.
Cooper suggests that he talk to Clay face-to-face. Isabelle, changing
the subject, says she is so happy for them. Cabot says he predicts a
wonderful life for them. Stephanie says that with Cabot and Isabelle
as role models, nothing can go wrong. Cabot says his dream has always
been that Alden Enterprises would be a place where the family would
 work together.
Breanna enters. She apologizes for interrupting, but she *had* to show
Stephanie this FAX right away. She reads it. "It's a modeling job
offer." "Where? New York?" "No, Paris!"

STORYLINE: DEJA VU
 (location: Le Bistro)
* Jacob enters. Deborah asks what he is doing here. "I work here,
don't I?" Deborah admits she said they'd give it a try. He reminds
her that he saved her daughter yesterday. She says he might have
gotten them all killed. She also says she knows *nothing* about him.
He invites her to check his references. "Buck Houston? He talked to
you for about five seconds." "Ah, yes, but those five seconds was
quality time." Jacob puts on an apron. "Are we going to *work* or
are we going to talk?" He says he doesn't know what her problem is.
She says again that she knows nothing about him. He suggests that
they go out after work and have a beer. "Come on, you said you wanted
to whip this place into shape for the Re-re-grand opening, or is it the
Re-re-re-re-re-re-re-opening?" "*That* is not funny!" He asks where
she wants him to start. She charges over to him and unties apron.
She asks why the cops were asking a bunch of questions about him.
* He says he is not surprised. She says she thought he wouldn't be.
He says he isn't surprised because he is "a black man in lily-white
land -- of course they're going to ask questions." Deborah says there
are black people in town. Jacob says yeah, he saw all three of them
the other day. Deborah says this isn't a "racial thing," it is a
"questionable character thing." He asks how people define character
in Corinth -- all he has done is save her life and try to get her more
business. She says that the police wouldn't question him if he didn't
have a questionable character. He says the police are always looking
for trouble, because if there was no trouble, they wouldn't have jobs,
and they wouldn't have money to spend in her restaurant, so all he is
doing is trying to bring her more business, which would allow both of
them to move out of the dive motel, so she should give him a raise.
He asks what she thinks of that. "You know what I think? I think
you lay it on thicker than a cement truck." Jacob says he doesn't
know anything about her, "except that you're a couple of french fries
short of a Happy Meal." She asks what that means. He reminds her
that she told the gunman to "make my day" and shoot her. He makes her
a deal -- he'll tell her everything about himself if she'll tell him
everything about herself first. "Shut up and get to work." He asks
if he really has the job this time, boss. "Yes. Now, let's see how
 long you can keep it."
* None.
* They are setting the tables, alternating staring at each other. He
asks, "What?" "What?" She says maybe he's Jeffrey Dahmer -- how does
she know he isn't? He says, "You don't," and picks up a knife. "That
is not funny, that's disgusting." Jeremy enters, unnoticed, as Jacob
suggests that she take out the white light and start the inquisition
right now. Jacob sees Jeremy and says they are closed. "Come back
tomorrow, seven o'clock, we'll be open." Jeremy doesn't move; he just
stares at Jacob. "Yo, you hard of hearing? Closed. C-l-o-s-e-d."
Jeremy just walks toward him, saying, "It's incredible." Jacob asks
Deborah if this is a friend of hers. She introduces them.
Jeremy: "You're almost identical."
Jacob: "What are you talking about, please?"
Jeremy: "Jesse Hubbard."
Jacob: "Who?"
Jeremy: "Do you know him? Are you related to him?"
Jacob: "No, I don't know Jesse Hubbard and I don't know you, so --"
Jeremy: "Then why are you trying to contact Angie?"
Jacob asks if he is a cop. Jeremy says he is a friend of Angie's.
Jacob says he'll bite again: Angie... oh, you mean *Dr.* Hubbard.
He says he has a sister who needs a bone marrow transplant (as he
had alreaday told Deborah). "Got it?" He told whoever he talked
to on the phone that he would call back later. "End of story."
Deborah verifies that is what he had told her. Jeremy asks how he
ended up in Corinth. Car broke down: alternator, according to "Buck
the cowboy." Jeremy says he knows Buck very well. Jacob observes
that everybody seems to know everybody else in Corinth. Jeremy says
it is quite a coincidence that his car just happens to break down in
Corinth, and that he is a "dead ringer to her late husband." Jacob
says the Lord works in mysterious ways. Jeremy gets in Jacob's face
and asks him to do him a favor: stay away from Angie. Seeing him
would upset her quite a bit. "Is that it? Any more requests?" "No,
for now." Deborah sees Jeremy to the door. While they are outside,
he says, "Of course I know I look like Jesse Hubbard, you fool. Why
else would I be here?" We get a shot of Jeremy, outside, holding a
knife which presumably has Jacob's fingerprints. He wraps it in a
napkin and smirks, very proud of himself.
