Subject: LOV: Update for Wednesday, March 1, 1995
Status: R

Tra la...it's Wednesday in Corinth.

Casey, at the house, is on the phone with Kate, wondering why Ally
isn't at the house yet. Ally comes in the door. They hug. Casey says
he just heard what happened to her. He could have lost her. He could
have lost her he says as he holds her tight.

At the police station, Alex is mumbling about the guy that held up the
Biastro last night. He held a gun in front of witnesses, then said he
didn't do it in the lineup. Alex notices that Ava is crying. Alex hugs
her.

At Frankie's house, Frankie says this guy was sitting right in front
of him? Jeremy says that he didn't realize it at the time. Charles
comes into the room, putting on his caot. He's leaving; he tells
Frankie he'll be at the station. Hi, Charles; Bye, Charles, Frankie
says after Charles leaves. Just like your father, Jeremy says, always
in a rush. Yeah, Franikie says, Mom says that's how he got killed.

In the hallway of the place Jacob is staying, Jacob and Deborah
collide. The printouts Jacob had go flying. Deborah tells him to watch
where he's going. He tells her the same. They realize who each other
is and Deborah thanks him for saving her daughter. Jacob says not
according to that cop. Deborah picks up some of the papers and asks why
he has articles on Angie and Charles.

Jacob says it's for his sister, she's ill; she needs a bone marrow
transplant. Jacob asks what she's doing in a dump like this. Deborah
says she is living here. Oh, Jacob says, is she the one with the panty
hose on the fire escape? Deborah nods. Jacob is surprised, an owner of
a restraunt in a place like this. She says she isn't doing so well,
she owes taxes and two week's rent. Well, he says, she'll survive. He
says she should hire him. He'll help her turn the place around. She
says she can't affort to hire anyone (ed. ntoe: so why did she place
an ad in the paper?) She tells him she doesn't really trust him. He
says the feeling is mutual. Does he really speak French? Deborah
asks. Yes. What can he do for her? she asks. Well, he can do anything
she needs: he can wait tables, buss tables, and he's really good at
charming beautiful women. Hummmmmmmm, Deborah says. Okay. He's got a
job. She's on her way to the station. Is he going? Why? Well, they
need all the witnesses for the lineup identification. Oh, he's got
something important to do, maybe later.

At the station, Ava says Alex was right, she was throwing herself into
her work to ignore the JillBear (Gilbert) situation. What brought this
up? Alex asks. The Biastro incident, Ava says. When she saw the guy
with a gun, she felt like she was watching a movie. Like she couldn't
get hurt. But then in the lineup, she lost it. Alex says that's not
unusual. She's normal? Well, Alex says, he wouldn't go that far. Ava
almost laughs and asks if he is trying to make her laugh. Alex says
she looks beautiful when she laughs. She says that he was right, she
wants him to go back to work for her. She wants life the way it was
before, quiet and calm. Alex laughs.

Casey asks why she was at the Biastro. She was looking for a
job. Casey says she shouldn't have to work. She says if she was still
here, he would still have a job, but the most important thing is for
him to get better, and she needs to work so he can concentrate on
getting better. Ally says they're okay now. They hug again, and Casey
says she's everything to him. They kiss. Pasionately.

Jeremy tells Frankie he's sorry the painting brought back memories of
his father. Frankie says it wasn't the drawing, he thinks of his dad a
lot. Jeremy says he was daydreaming, maybe he was drawing from
memory. Frankie says Jeremy's twin looked just like Jeremy. No, Jeremy
says, Frankie's father did not have a twin (ed. note: phew, there's
one storyline down the drain). The doorbell rings. It's Stacey. she
asks Frankie to bring her latest rewrite to Tess when he goes to
work. Just between us "guys", she says, the agency is like the
Twilight Zone, you never know when you'll leave, and she has a date
with buck and the kids this afternoon. Hey, she says, she knows this
guy (she picked up the drawing). She met him at the Rodeo Bar, Buck
brought him into town. That's it, Stacey says, she knew he looked
familiar. He looks like Frankie's father. She holds the picture up to
Frankie to compare.

So, Frankie asks. what's his name? Jacob, Stacey says. Last name?
Jacob...Jacob Johnson. She says they should talk to Buck. The
question is, Frankie says, what is he doing here?

Jacob picks up a construction paper star with "Dad" on it and then a
picture of a man, woman, and kid (ed. note: sorry, on a small 5 inch
TV I couldn't tell if this was Jessie, Angie, and Frankie...anyone
with a bigger screen know?). I miss you guys so much, he says,
hugging the picture to his chest. Time to get serious, he says.

Sorry to laugh, Alex tells Ava, but when was the last time we were
calm and quiet? Ava wants to take him away on vacation and be
alone. He wants to make a deal. If she'll go easy on Brunell's, he'll
go back to the force. Ava kisses him. Charles comes in and says Hey!
Ava says Charles will want to kiss him, too when he hears. Charles
doubts it. Ava says quess who's coming back to work. Really? Charles
goes kiss kiss kiss...Alex says back off man. He hasn't talked to
Graham (ed. note...gotta love it!) yet. Ava puts on her coat as
Charles says nevermind him, he needs Alex NOW. He's got a lead on a
major drug runner and he needs Alex's help. This guy could take them
to the SOURCE. Alex says he has something important to worry about, as
he turns to Ava. Ava tells Alex to never mind her, she has a meeting
with a buyer and she'll see him tonight. Deborah comes in and tells
Alex she's ready for the lineup now. Graham comes out and Alex asks if
he got anything on Dreadlocks yet. Nope, he says, but out of ten
witnesses, 8 have a positive ID. Alex wants to follow up, and Deobrah
looks uncomfortable. Graham tells Alex he's not on the force anymore.
Charles says they want to talk to him about that. Graham smiles.

Ally and Casey are still kissing. Casey says they shouldn't be doing
this. Ally says yes, she should be going. No, Casey says, he should
go. He's at the door. The door is open. He turns around and says he's
glad she's okay, he loves her. Ally goes to him, closes the door and
they kiss again. They fade to the floor.

Charles tells Alex he wants to be like him when he grows up. Alex
laughs. Charles says Alex is behind on spending time with him in the
car eating stale donuts. Come on, Charles says, he'll buy the donuts.
Alex says that he's holding out for the kiss. Charles says he's not
that cute (ed. note: I disagree!). Charles offers enchiladas. Alex
says he's not that hungry. Charles says he should be a stand up
commedian. Think so? Alex says as they leave the station.

Stacey tells Frankie that when Jack died, she saw him everywhere
(ed. note: yeah, thanks in part to Clay, an out-of-work actor, and a
hologram projector...) Frankie says, but this is different. Stacey
doesn't think so. But, neither one wants to push the issue. She thanks
him for dropping the stuff off at the agency for her.

In his room, listening to music, Jacob finishes something and then
says Charles, it's time to get serious. He dials Angie's house.
Frankie answers. Jacob asks for Dr. Hubbard. Who's calling please?
Jacob. Frankie stiffens. Is there a last name with that? Johnson.
Frankie tells him Angie is not in right now, but he'll leave her a
message, if he'll leave a number. No message, he'll call her
back. Wait! Frankie says. Dial tone. Damn!
