			   HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY!

Today's episode finds us with 3 storylines:

Annoying Alex with Ava and Alex
Beligerent Buck with Buck, Stacey and Curtis
Torn Trucker with Trucker and Dinah Lee

[Annoying Alex]

It's Valentine's Day and Alex has decided to surprise Ava with a box
of chocolates while she's working at Burnell's. Ava is dressed in her
signiture short black skirt business suit, today topped with a holiday
inspired pink jacket. Not a great color for Ms. Peluso. Ava is really
busy and tries to tell Alex that she doesn't have time today. He's hurt
because it's V-Day, and she relents to say she'll be ready in 20 minutes.
Alex plops down on the couch to wait and keeps talking. She keeps
working and is half listenting as he mentions Dinah Lee. Ava says she's
really worried about her, but keeps on working. Alex finally gives up,
and brightens a bit and says he'll go talk to the Security guy there at
Burnell's. Ava warns him she's not spending any money on a new security
system! Alex says not to worry, he's only interested in moving existing
equipment to get better use from it.

When he returns with blueprints in hand, Ava is extremely unreceptive.
Quite puzzling when his suggestions sounded reasonable, like 30% of all
her shoplifting occurs on one aisle. But she doesn't want to listen,
all she can think about is that Burnell's is HER store, not HIS and she
doesn't want him butting in at all! He tries several other suggetstions
and she finally tells him that he's a good Cop, and that he should go
back to the force. ... Yeah, I'm a good cop when the crook is unarmed
and facing away from me! ... Ava rolls her eyes ... Alex, no one blames
you! Graham wants you back, Charles does too! GO BACK! Please! ...
And it's obvious that she just wants him out of her hair ...

[Beligerent Buck]

We open today with Buck and Stacey at the Tides taking care of the kids.
Buck is playing with Heather while JJ and Christopher are coloring on
the coffee table. Heather and JJ go upstairs with Stacey, and it leaves
Christopher free to ask Buck about his mother. Seems he overheard Buck
and Stacey talking. Christopher wants to know if Mommy is alive? Stacey
returns in time to hear Buck's explanation. Buck tells him that Trucker
has gone to look for Trisha, that they have seen her and yes she is
alive. Christopher wonders where she is. Italy ... Is that the spaghetti
place? ... Yep ... How did she get there? ... Buck explains that sometimes
mistakes happen, and it did when they thought she was dead. Stacey joins
them on the couch when Christopher questions Trisha's extended absence.
Stacey assures him that Trisha loves him, and there has to be a good reason
why, they just don't know what it is yet, but his Daddy is going to
find out! JJ yells for Christopher to join them, and he bounces away
upstairs. (This new little Christopher looks like a miniture Trucker
doesn't he?)

Stacey and Buck console each other after that difficult explanation.
While they are both worried about Christopher, Buck confides that he's
truly more worried about Dinah Lee. Stacey, in a response totally out of
character if you ask me, agrees with him and says ... You're right.
We'll have to make sure that we are here for her when Trisha returns. ...
You think she'll return? ... Of course she will, Trucker will find her
and bring her home ... Then she tells him of her theory. She reminds
him that Jeff Hartman was released from Dunellen the same day Trisha
disappeared. He knows, and mentions that Jeff Hartman was crazy about
Trisha ... "Crazy" is the right word, he was obsessed with her ... You
think he kidnapped her? ... Something's weird. I don't think he could
hold her by force this long ... What should we do? ... I want to go to
Dunellen and talk to his Doctors ... They won't tell you anything ...
How do we know? ... He agrees until she also mentions visiting Curtis.

Then he turn into Beligerent Buck, forcefully declining to be in the
same room with Curtis after what he's done to him. Stacey explains that
it was because Curtis was sick, and that he's getting help. She also
reminds him that Curtis may have heard something about Jeff Hartman since
he lives at Dunellen now, perhaps old patients will know something about
Hartman. Buck finally agrees to go, and even to see Curtis. (Boy,
Buck needs a haircut! Did you notice all that extra hair on his neck?
Where's the stylist today?)

At Dunellen, Curtis is overjoyed to see them. They talk about Trisha,
and Curtis is very happy. Stacey asks him if he's heard anything from
his fellow patients about Jeff. He says no, but his doctor was Jeff's
doctor. They know, and in fact have an appointment in a few minutes.
They start to leave and Curtis stops them to talk to a cool Buck.

Curtis says he knows he took something irreplacable from Buck and that
to atone he wants to give Buck the Rodeo Bar. Beligerent Buck flatly
refuses. Curtis says he needs to do this, and the bar's not doing him
any good while he's in Dunellen. Buck says he'll get out one day.
But Curtis vehemently denies ever wanting to go back to the Bar after
all that happened. He offers it again. Buck refuses again, even after
a beseeching look from Stacey. Buck says he'll buy it. Curtis says
no, only as a gift. Buck says he'll think about it. Curtis is thrilled
and says ... Good, I'll have my lawyers draw up the papers ... I didn't
say I'd do it ... You will! Thanks for coming to see me. When Trisha
comes home we'll have to get together and talk about the good old days.
They were good weren't they? I'm not imagining it am I? ... Stacey
kisses him a quick kiss right on the lips, hugs him and assures him
that they were good! Curtis leaves for group therapy.

Buck asks Stacey if she believes Curtis is getting better? ... Yes ...
and Trisha coming home will help? ... Yes ... And my taking the Rodeo
Bar will help? ... Yes! ... Hmmm ... and they leave in search of the
good Doctor ...

[Torn Trucker]

Trucker and Dinah Lee are in a hotel room in Italy. He's shirless and
fresh from the shower. She's in a peach silk wrapper, and appears to
be packing his clothes. He's in a hurry to leave so they can catch a
plane to Milan. She changes the subject as she notices a basket of
goodies on the table. How sweet, the card says Happy Valentine's Day and
it's from the owner. Trucker apologizes for forgetting, but it's ok
since Dinah Lee forgot too. (Yeah, right.)

He mentions leaving again, and she haltingly tells him that she's not
going to Milan, she's going home. Playing the lovestruck martyr, she
tells him he needs to do this alone and that she's going home to take
care of Christopher. She loves him so she's letting him go. He wonders
why she won't even fight for him? She says because he's married, has
a child, and it's _because_ she loves him so completely and unselfishly
that she's willing to give him up. If he brings Trisha home, she'll
quietly step aside.

Trucker's torn. He loves her and won't abandon her. She takes his face
in her hands and tells him ... Then look me in the eye and tell me that
if when you find Trisha she says, Trucker, I love you and I want to go
home to you and Christopher, that you will turn away and come back to
me ... when he doesn't answer she turns away to the window so he won't
see her tears. He comes up behind her and holds her telling her that
he loves her. She knows, but breaks the contact and tries to hurry
him on his way.

He's almost in tears and says he won't say good bye to her, because that
means he's not coming back and he is! ... He finally leaves and as
she watches him walk out the door she whispers ... Good Bye, Trucker ...

That's it for Tuesday!
Jennifer
