Subject: LOV: Update for Wednesday, February 8, 1995
Status: R

First, to fill in some things Jeniffer missed in the Tuesday update
(appologizes to the update mailing list, the first part is a repeat of
what I mailed to you):

The reason Cooper/Steffi/Ally are at the Bowman house is that Cooper
gave Ally Steffi's engagement ring for safe keeping. Cooper wants to
go get it so that Steffi can have it, now that they are officially
engaged (he was gonna ask her at her birthday party but other things
prevented it...)

So, at the beginning of the show, right after Cooper asks if Ally
remembers where she put the ring, the scene changes to Casey, with the
ring, at a pawn shop. the guy offers two hundres. Casey says it's
worth a couple thousand. The guy says he looks like someone who would
know this. Casey says he gets paid in a few days, he'll want to buy
the ring back. Sure, sure, the guy says. Casey takes the two hundred
dollars, and uses $100 to buy the coke....after asking the new dealer
if this is good stuff, uncut. Sure, the best, the dealer says.

So, when Jennifer said Cooper/Steffi/Ally were going to buy a ring, they
were really gonna go to the house to get the ring Ally was keeping for
Cooper.

I don't think Jennifer missed much with the scene with Trucker/DL and
the hotel guy. When we came back to Rome, it was after the hotel guy
had left, Dinah Lee said to Trucker that she hopes the next time she's
in Rome, she gets to *see* some of it. Then Trucker says they will
come back, together, and see the sights. Dinah Lee tries to believe
this, but it's obvious that she's not buying it.

Now, on to Wednesday:

Gwyn asks Charles what the police are doing. He says they have cops
interviewing people around the crash area. What have they found, Gwyn
asks. Well, it's been two years, people need to think...No one has
come forward. Gwyn thanks Angie for arranging the dinner so she could
talk to Charles about the investigation. Gwyn says she knows that the
police are doing everything they can, but, Gwyn says, she *is* her
daughter. Gwyn wants news from Rome. Angie says Charles has called
some friends at the FBI to see how things are going, since the FBi is
working with teh Italian police to try to find her. Gwyn says she is
not the only one who is having problems, meaning Jeremy. How is
Jeremy? Angie asks. Not good. Gwyn asks if he was there for
Angie. Yes, Angie says. Gwyn suggests that Angie can help him.

Ally can't find the ring. Casey is in the closet, shaking. Ally looks
all through her jewlery box. Cooper looks through it, too, but they
can't find it. It's not here, it must be at Kate's, Ally says. Unless,
Cooper says, Casey took it and sold it. Casey is cringing in the
closet.

Trucker goes to a police station in Rome and once he finds someone who
speaks English, he says he needs their help finding his wife, he
thinks she's been kidnapped.

Gwyn says there was always a part of her that wouldn't give up
hope. But, she convinced herself that she was mistaken, it was only
her hope, not any rational thought. Maybe it was real. They notice
that Jeremy is looking at a picture. Angie invites Gwyn and Charles
into another room for coffee. They leave. Angie asks Jeremy if he's
okay. She saw him looking at the picture of Jessie. She remembers when
Jessie died, she didn't think she could go on, she wouldn't have been
able to, if it weren't for Frankie and good friends like him. Now,
it's time to return the favor, she says. Losing a brother like this,
Angie says...But, Jeremy says, he's still alive. But, this needs to be
dealth with and you need to grieve. Jeremy asks if the hurt ever goes
away. Well, people told her that time would solve her pain, and it was
so hard to believe, and she won't say that, but he has to beleive. You
never forget that person. There will always be a part of him in you.

Ally says she can't believe that Cooper thinks Casey sold the ring for
drugs. Ally wants to stay there until Casey comes home and she'll ask
him! Cooper says they may be up all night. Steffi says maybe it is at
Kate's. They leave to go look at Kate's. Ally says she will get him
his ring. Casey comes out of the closet, and says he has (sniff) to
(sniff) get some (sniff) money (sniff) to get (sniff) the ring (sniff)
back. He gets his car keys and leaves (sniff).

Trucker is telling the police that Jeff has a history of kidnapping
Trisha. He got out of the mental hospital the day of her accident. And
he saw Jeff here the last time he was in Rome, and Jeff wouldn't let
him into his hotel room. Damn, Trucker says, he should have known
then. Trucker tells the police that Jeff is in a little town...Rescott?
Riscotti, Dinah Lee says. How do they know? Trucker say they followed
his paper train to Milan and then to the little town.

The police guy is on the phone to Riscotti. He hangs up and tells
Trucker and Dinah Lee that they might know where he is. The cop wants
to handle this, since Trucker is so involved, and not thinking
rationally. The cop leaves, and Trucker follows him.

Ally, Cooper, and Steffi are back at Ally's house. She calls for
Casey. He's been gone a long time, Ally says. Ally is *sure* that
Casey didn't take the ring, maybe Tyler found it and dropped it.
Cooper asks if Tyler could even reach her jewlery box. Well, maybe
Casey moved it, and then Tryler got it...She tells Cooper and Steffi
to go home, and she'd wait for Casey. Then she'll ask him about the
ring. Well, be prepared for the truth, whatever it is, Cooper suggests.
He wants to know what Casey says, no matter what it is. Ally asks
Steffi if she thinks Casey would steal. Well, people would do anything
when they sink too low. Casey wouldn't steal! Ally says.

Casey is pounding on a door. Tess finally answers. Casey begs her for
a salary advanced. Is he high? Tess assk. No (sniff), Casey lies, he's
stressed. He won't tell her why he needs the money. No money, she
says, she's not feeding his addiction.

No (sniff), Casey says, he's not asking (sniff) for drug (sniff) money
(sniff). Tess says they had an agreement, if he took anything stronger
than asprin. He HASN'T...HE's FIRED. No (sniff), he says. Tess says
she'll have his things sent to the house. She tries to slam the door
in his face, saying she hopes he gets help. He screams how (sniff) is
he suppose (sniff) to do that (sniff)? He just needs to do it before
it's too late, she says. The door closes. He hits the door and says he
(sniff) has to (sniff) get the ring (sniff) back (sniff).

Ally is tearing the house apart, looking for the ring. She goes to the
closet, and finds Casey's jacket. Oh, Casey, she sighs, why are you
outside without your coat on? She looks in the pockets and finds the
pawn slip. Oh God, Cooper, she says, she hopes he's not right. She
takes her coat and keys and leaves.

Angie and Charles are in bed. Charles is asleep. She remembers Jessie
dying. Please don't leave me, she cries. The heart monitor is
straightline. She turns off the monitor. She goes to the bed. She lays
down next to him. She puts her head on his chest. She says she'll
always love him. Angie wakes up and looks at Charles. She hugs him and
has a faraway look in her eyes. (ed. note: it sure is hard to see
what's on teh screen through tear-stained eyes :-( Debbie's comment
was that she cried for three days when Jessie died, she doesn't want to
do that again!)

Dinah Lee is atill at the police station. The waiter comes in and says
Mr. McKenzie wanted to ask him some more questions. Dinah Lee thanks
him for coming and says Trucker isn't there right now, but he should
be back soon. Dinah Lee asks if it looked like the lady with
Mr. Hartman was being held against her will. No, no, the waiter says,
she looked like she was very much in love with Mr. Hartman. Dinah Lee
is shocked.

Trucker catches up with the policeman and tries again to get the
address. No, the policeman says, Trucker is too involved. Sorry,
Trucker says, as he decks the cop. Then, Trucker goes through the
cop's pockets until he finds the address. Hold on Trisha, here I come,
he says.
