				LOVing Update
			    Tuesday, January 24th, 1995

Today's episode finds us with 3 storylines:

The lovebirds with Cooper and Steffi
The jailbird with Casey, Angie, Charles, Ally and Stacey
The turdbird with Clay and Deborah

I missed the first part of the show ... so if any kind soul would like to
fill in, I'd greatly appreciate it! Thanks.

[The lovebirds]

Cooper is still in Steffi's hospital room offering her warm assurances
along with a healthy dose of love. She looks beat. Very touching scenes
between the two as he is supportive, loving and kind. He gets her to
laugh, and promises to be there for her forever - regardless of what Clay
does. They embrace telling each other of their love ...

[The jailbird]

Casey is at the police station. Angie is there, as well as one pissed
off Charles. Angie defends Casey to Charles, but Charles will have none of
it. Angie talks to Casey and tells him she believes in him. He tells
her about the dealer putting the drugs into his camera bag, unbeknownst
to him, Ally finding them, telling her they weren't his, Ally not
believing him, and of going to shove them in the dealer's face. He
confesses to using cocaine in the past, but swears he's done with it. He
tells her that once these guys think they've got you, they don't give up.
He was only at the apartment to tell the dealer to leave him alone! Then
Charles busted in, the dealer went out the window, and Casey was left
standing there. Angie asks if he didn't tell Charles all of this? Only
about a hundred times! Casey begs Angie not to tell Ally, because Ally
will leave him if she knows. Angie tells him he needs help, and he
agrees. He wants to go home, but doesn't have the money for bail.
Angie's eyes light up and she leaves, asking Charles where the Judge is.

Later, Charles is furious. Both Casey and the drug dealer have been
released, thanks to her! But she only paid Casey's bail. Doesn't she
know that the dealers have all the money in the world? ... I'm sorry
Charles, but that's not my fault! ... they argue, or rather Charles
argues. When she asks him why he can't give Casey a chance, he replies
because they didn't give *her* a chance ... Who? Oh, Clarrissa. So you
don't believe in second chances then? ... No ... But baby (see CAZ, she
calls _him_ baby today!), you have to! Look at us. We've been given a
second chance with each other. I don't want to fight. Let's just go
home ... and they stare at each other, her with a beseeching look, his
eyes still hard and cold ...

Meanwhile, Ally is at Stacey's house. Ally's asking for marital advice.
She's considering forgiving Casey. At first Stacey's advice is to
forgive him. After all, she forgave Jack. ... Once? ... Yes. Twice? Yes.
How many times? I don't know, I didn't keep track. ... But then Stacey
tells her of giving Jack an ultimatum. Stacey was scared to death, but
she was ready to leave Jack if he hadn't come around. Thankfully he did,
and she didn't have to leave ... But you have to stick to your guns or
your word means nothing ... This gets Ally remembering her threat to
Casey ... If you ever lie to me again Casey, I'm leaving ...

Later, Ally is at home awaiting Casey's return. She's on the phone and
as she hangs up, Casey quietly comes in the door. He shuts the door,
hangs his head and looks at her with big, guilty, sad eyes. She looks at
him, and neither say anything ....

[The turdbird ... sorry, but that's what Clay's being these days!]

OK, I missed the opening of this scene - the hold over from Monday's
ender with Clay leaping from his chair to strangle Deborah. Luckily in
the ending credits, they replayed the scene but minus the sound. Here's
what happened - please feel free to help out!

As Deborah snorts (deb's description from Monday!) at Clay's standing
position, he finally realizes what he's unwittingly done. He collapses
on the floor, and she starts yelling at him and shaking her finger at
him. He lays there, acting helpless.

When next we join them, he's back in the wheelchair and she's begging him
to let Cooper and Steffi be together. She calls him all sorts of names,
but he doesn't care. He tells her that he's going to go to the DA and
recant his story about not remembering who ran him down. Cooper will be
in jail before she knows it. He snidely remarks that he will be unless
she cares to switch places with him?

She calls him a vile, despicable, warped person. He laughs. She says
he's got everything now, the company, the love and trust of his parents.
Why does he not want Cooper and Steffi together, since he doesn't want
her. He tells her it's becuase a happy man, a man in love, can do
anything. Soon Cooper would feel stronger, and would combat Clay again,
and Clay will not let that happen! Deborah looks sick.

He says he's leaving for the DA's office. She laughs and tells him to go
ahead - she'll show him.

Next scene is of Clay wheeling into a law office. The lawyer is a no
nonsense woman. She acts like she has no time to listen to Mr. Alden.
He says he understands that the DA's office is busy, but that he was
confused after the accident, but now things are crystal clear in his mind.
She asks if he has remembered who ran him down? As he starts to reply,
we hear Deborah's voice out in the hallway saying ... Don't worry, I'll
explain everything to you in a moment ... Clay looks up and sees Deborah
waltzing into the room with Cabot and Isabelle in tow ... everyone stops
to stare at one another ....

[One year ago today]

Ally confronts Casey about lying about sleeping with Steffi. Steffi is
at the Gatehouse pigging out on junkfood and taking laxatives. Tess
advises Steffi against using the laxatives, and thinks it's good if
she's living in the Gatehouse to make herself happy, but bad if she's
doing it for Clay, or to make Casey jealous. Just as Casey is about to
tell Ally he lied because Cooper blackmailed him, Cooper calls and snarls
into the phone ... Bowman, I know Ally is there! Before you do the dumbest
thing in your life, stop. I'll do everything in my power to see that Ally
looses custody of Tyler if you tell her about our deal. ... Why are you doing
this? ... Because I love her, and I'll do *anything* to keep her ... and
Casey says nothing. Steffi's dog Max is killed by a car. Ally hasn't
broken up with Cooper yet, she goes to see him pretending everything is
all right and tells him she's doing charity work with Granma for hours.
Tess visits Cooper and tells him she'll be alone at Kate's for a few
hours. He goes to visit her. Steffi collapses when told of Max.

Egypt kisses Buck, calling him Linden, whom she had an affair with when
she was married and while he sold sunglasses in a parking lot. And she
tells him that the husband of the time was Alex! Buck and Stacey are
still an item. Egypt gets Ava to threaten her infront of witnesses, then
Egypt slashes her brake line in an attempt to frame Ava.

That's it for Tuesday!
Jennifer
