				LOVing Update
			    Tuesday, January 10th, 1995

Today's episode was "3 weddings and a Funeral" ...

Wedding #1 Charles & Angie
Wedding #2 Trucker and Dinah Lee
Wedding #3 Stacey and Buck
The Funeral The death of Alex's police career

[Wedding #1]

Charles and Angie are at her home discussing how Charles missed her while
she was gone. He seriously tells her that he has a heart condition.
Angie is visibly shaken until she realizes he is teasing her, he really
means that his heart was broken while she was away. He tells her that
after her illness, and watching Alex almost lose Ava, he realizes how
short life is. He round-about mentions marriage but Angie stops him and
says she wants the whole thing. With this, Charles (who was seated next
to her on the couch) kneels in front of her, takes her hand, looks into
her eyes and tells her ... Angie, my life, my love, my sweetheart. Would
you do the honor of becoming my wife? ... Angie gazes into his eyes, with
tears in her own and answers ... Oh Charles, I'd be honored ... Mucho
kissing ensues.

Det. Graham comes for a visit and interrupt the two lovebirds. Angie
politely excuses herself and retires upstairs. Pat tells Charles that
Norstum (Gilbert) has been spouting off about Alex shooting him even
after Alex knew he was unarmed. Charles defends Alex. Pat concurs.
They decide to drop any investigation. After Pat leaves, Angie returns
and asks Charles why he's bothered. He tells her that Alex did know
Gilbert was unarmed, but that Alex did nothing wrong, considering what
kind of man Gilbert is. Angie doesn't say much to this.

[Weddings #2 and #3]

A nice family dinner is taking place at the Tides with Trucker, Dinah
Lee, Christopher, Stacey, Buck, JJ and Heather. Christopher pipes up
with a not too nice comment about Dinah Lee not being his mother. (Well,
at least that's what I think happened. I missed this part but gleaned
this from later conversations.) Dinah Lee and Trucker take Christopher
up for his bath.

Trucker tries to comfort Dinah Lee about Christopher's attitude. Dinah
Lee says she doesn't want Christopher to forget Trisha, but that she'd
like to be there for him. She mentions adoption. Trucker loves the
idea. Dinah Lee wants to explain it to Christopher and get his feelings.
So Trucker brings a bathrobe and slipper clad kid into the bedroom and
sits him in the middle of the bed for Dinah Lee's talk. Christopher is
anything but interested. Dinah Lee tells him she wants to adopt him and
tries to explain what that is. When she asks if Christopher understands
he simply shrugs his shoulders. When she asks if he'd like the idea,
another shrug. She is crying, but trying not to show it. Christopher
turns to Trucker, and Trucker asks him if he understood what Dinah Lee
said and he says ... Can you put bubbles in my Bath? ... Trucker shakes
his head tells him yes and then sends him on his way. Dinah Lee
meanwhile, has doubled over face first in the bed and cries, Trucker goes
over and runs a comforting hand through her hair.

Downstairs, Stacey is cleaning up the dinner plates from the table. She
views the kids playing outside and is glad she's not out there. Buck
teases her (the All American Outdoors Girl) about not being able to snow
board. And in an effort to soothe his massive male ego, she demurely replies
that there are lots of things she can't do. They talk about
Christopher's comment at the dinner table. Buck worries about what her
kids think about him. She assures him that they love him, as she loves
him. And talk turns to them possibly getting married one day. Stacey
tells him that they love Jack, but that they love Buck and they would
accept Buck as their father. Hugs and kisses.

Later the respective families have regrouped downstairs infront of the
fireplace. Stacey and Buck are roasting marshmellows with her kids when
Christopher comes bounding in. He jumps up on Dinah Lee's lap and asks
her to read him a bedtime story. She happily agrees. He suggests
"Goldilocks and the Three Bears", and she remembers that that one is
Trucker's story, but Christopher insists that he wants Dinah Lee to read
it. He turns to the other kids and happily announces ... Dinah Lee is
going to be my new Mommy! ... Smiles abound as Dinah Lee takes
Christopher upstairs to tuck him in for the night ...

[The Funeral, or the Death of Alex's Police Career]

Ava is seated on the edge of Gilbert's hospital bed still begging him to
tell the police that Alex didn't know Gilbert was unarmed when he shot
him. Gilbert tells her not to ask him to do it for her Mamma, or Sandy
or [gag] Alex ... ask him to do it for *her* ... Ava takes a deep breath
and almost whispers ... Gilbert, do it for me ... Ahhh, when asked like
that ... and at that moment Alex bursts into the room. He's mad as Hell.
He demands to know what Ava is doing there and Gilbert answers ...
Exactly what you *sent* her to do Masters ... Ava denies that Alex knew
anything about it and Gilbert figures from Alex's behavior that Ava is
correct. Alex storms out.

In the Hospital corridor he runs into Det. Graham. Pat tells him once
more that even after Norstrom's accusations he has decided that Alex did
nothing wrong and there will be no Internal Affairs investigation. At
this point, Ava rushes out of Gilbert's room and into the conversation.
She tries to forestall Alex, but Alex confesses to Pat that he *knew*
Gilbert was unarmed when he shot him! Pat is distressed and temporarily
suspends Alex. Ava is distressed that Alex confessed, but Alex looks
relieved ....

[One year ago today ... er, last week ...]

Ava is no longer involved with Jeremy, but loves Alex. Egypt has written
a fake letter which has Ava believing that Alex still loves Egypt, so Ava
is avoiding Alex. She spends the night at Jeremy's but Jeremy tells Alex
where she is, much to Ava's annoyance. Jeremy is relieved that is is
Alex who is chasing Ava all over town and not him anymore. Ava is
working at Burnell's and has given strict orders not to allow Mr. Masters
anywhere near her. She gets a phone call and it's the famous "Alex the
window washer" who is on a scaffolding outside her hi-rise office window
wanting to talk to her to tell her the letter from Egypt was a fake ...

Dinah Lee is back with Curtis. Curtis is extremely jealous of Trucker,
in fact offers him a partnership in the Rodeo Bar which Trucker turns
down. Trucker and Dinah Lee talk about how nothing happened between
them, but how they still feel guilty because they did (do) feel something
for one another.

Buck has been evicted from his dump of an apartment, but is still buying
Stacey expensive gifts. Buck wants to be Curtis's partner in the Rodeo
Bar and makes a call to the loan shark for the investment capital.

Deborah and Steffi visit Clay at Alden Enterprises. Deborah wants Clay
to give Steffi an internship. Clay tries to talk to Steffi, asking her
about her modelling career and quitting Alden University but Deborah
won't let her answer. Clay finally asks Deborah to leave, since she has
Steffi in tears. And the following conversation ensues ... Clay hands
Steffi a kleenex. She apologizes to him since everytime he's
seen her lately she's been crying. She says she doesn't even know who
she is anymore. He tells her that no, he thinks she knows exactly who
she is and what she wants. She doesn't think so. Then he asks her
what does she want out of life? She tearfully replies ... someone to
love me. He comes up behind her and lays his hands on her shoulders
comfortingly. Clay astutely guesses that she's referring to Casey.
She gets tense and starts to leave. He asks ... Not back to the loft?
... Yes, I don't have anywhere else to go ... Yes you do. Your coming away
with me ....

That's it for Tuesday!
