Subject: LOV: Update for Wednesday, January 4, 1995
Status: R

Well, it's Wednesday. I hope everyone is having a Happy and healthy
New Year. Here's what happened in Corinth today:

Steffi and Eric are at the skating hole. She's not sure how he's going
to explain the two pairs of skates on his expense account. He pretends
he's talking to the boss, and he says it's to keep one of the models
happy. Is that all? It's nothing more? Steffi asks, trying to sound
like the boss. Well, Eric tells the boss, he knows how he feels about
models, you've seen one you've seen a thousand. Steffi asks (as
herself) if it really is not personal. He says that's something that
he'd have to talk to her father about. Well, Steffi teases, what would
he say to her father? Well, he'd get up shakily on his skates, and ask
if he can court his daughter. Steffi is speechless. Cooper arrives at
the other side of the skating rink.

Trucker and Dinah Lee come home and they joke about getting married
and passing Stacey and Buck's test. Trucker jokes that he doesn't want
out, he knows when he's trapped. Dinah Lee is not happy, in fact,
she's very upset. Trucker is gazing off into the distance. Dinah Lee
asks what he's looking for. Nothing, he says. Not this? She holds out
a dove.

Casey is finally home. Ally wants to know where he's been all night
long. He's surprised she's not asleep. She tells him that she couldn't
sleep, not knowing where he is. She tells him she was at Kate's; Ava
is safe now. She called all his friends, the agency, the nightclubs. He
starts to explain, and she cuts him off. She doesn't want an
explanation, she wants to know where he has been.

She says she saw the look on his face when they brought out the cake
with this (dove) on it. Dinah Lee says that now that they have set a
date, Trisha has come back. No, Trucker says, she hasn't (ed. note,
don't be tooooo hasty, Trucker :-)). Trucker admits that yes, he
thought of Trisha, but it's a memory, like when she...like when Chris
tumbled off the porcha dn broke the railing here. Trucker continues,
When he looks at the railing, he remembers....like the dove. Dinah Lee
thinks this is a sign that they shouldn't be getting married. Trucker
comforts her and tells her he wants to take her somewhere to end this
once and for all.

So, what would her father say? Eric asks. That she is a big girl and
she can make up her own mind, Steffi says.. She says she tries not to
mix business and pleasure. Okay, Eric says, he'll quit his job.
Really, with the campaign so underway, he'll be working with Tess and
she'll be working with Casey, so they won't be working together.

Casey says he tracked Eric down to give him the new ideas he has about
the new campaign. Ally says this is cutting down? Casey says it's not
so much mroe work as different work....it's just a TV campaign. Casey
says he knows that he can handle this. What worries her, Ally says, is
when he keeps things from her. Casey says that she is making too much
of this. Too much? Ally cries. She is worried that the phone will ring
and it will be the police or the hospital. She's not sure that she can
take this. They have had trouble before, but he is shutting her out.
Ally tells him that if he ever worries her, if he ever lies to her, if
he ever takes drugs again, she is leaving him. She is taking Tyler and
moving out of the house! Casey does not look happy

Casey still does not look happy. Ally says she wouldn't say anything
like that if she didn't mean it. Casey says he will never use drugs
again. Is that the truth? Steffi asks. That's the truth, Casey
says. He adds that there is no excuse for not calling her. He will
never put her in that position again. He knows he has been difficult
to live with, and he wouldn't blame her if she left him. Plase don't
leave. He's not sure what he would do if she left. Please don't leave
me. They hug and kiss. Ally says why can't things be like they used
to? Casey says nothing will come between them ever again. They kiss,
pasionately.

Eric wants to know why he is not the woman of her dreams. Is he too
short, too fat...? Steffi says he is perfect, it's not him. Steffi
skates off and goes to Cooper. She asks him why he is following her.
He's not, Cooper lies. He's there to skate, Cooper says. He doesn't
have any skates, Steffi says. Oh, he was gonna rent some. Look, he
volunteers to go bowling instead. Steffi says she still loves him.

Trucker takes Dinah Lee to Trisha's grave. He wants Trisha to help him
convience Dinah Lee that he is over Trisha.

Dinah Lee doesn't want to be here. It's okay, Trucker says. Trucker
talks to Trisha's grave. He appologizes for coming so late, but it's
kinda important. He says she knows how much he loved her, but then he
lost her, and then for a long time, he didn't know if he'd get over
it, then Dinah Lee came along. He knows how she felt about her at
first, but she is wonderful, he loves her, and they're gonna get
married next month. But Dinah Lee isn't sure...so he brought her here,
please talk to her and let her know it's okay. Trucker stands up and
asks Dinah Lee to listen. Did she hear anything? Trucker asks. Dinah
Lee, wiping away the tears, says she thinks she heard an "ok". Dinah
Lee goes to the grave and tries to tell Trisha that she'll be a good
wife. She leaves the dove on the grave. She tells Trucker she felt a
cold chill. Trucker says it's the wind. The dove falls off the
tombstone.

Steffi tries to get Cooper to say he loves her, she knows he does.
Cooper remembers Clay's promise to make Steffi's life miserable as
long as she's with Cooper. Cooper tells her he'll be seeing her as he
walks away.

Casey and Ally make love in front of the fireplace. Tyler cries. Ally
goes to Tyler. Casey remembers telling Ally that he is not going to do
drugs ever agian....and his telling her that's the truth. Then he
remembers the 8-ball he took that night, and says that is the last
time. I promise.

Maybe-we-should-guess-on-how-long-this-promise-will-last-hanger
(I say until Friday, 1-6-95)
