				LOVing Update

HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE!!!

Today's episode finds us with 3 storylines:

Gonna get married	with Trucker, Dinah Lee, Buck and Stacey
Gonna go down with Casey and company
Gonna go home with Ava and company

[Gonna get married]

Trucker and Dinah Lee (who is wearing a very skimpy red dress for a
change, it's pretty and shows off her figure, but sadly she's not much of
a comparison for the old Dinah Lee), enter a fancy restaurant to have
dinner with Buck and Stacey. Buck and Stacey want to celebrate the
engagement of Trucker and Dinah Lee. They have some zany test to give
the two, to see if they are compatible. Much laughter and joking as they
ask silly questions and give silly answers, fun had by all. Until the
celebration cake is delivered. It's a small white cake with a fake white
dove perched on top. Trucker stares off into space as he recalls asking
Trisha for a sign when he was last in Rome, and saw the white dove land
on the table next to him. Dinah Lee is all smiles until she sees
Trucker's introspection, and she gets sad as she realizes what he's
thinking. She also stares off into space with a troubled look ...

[Gonna go down]

Ed note: It seems as if LOV is making this Casey's drug use storyline a
major one. There was an article in one of the Soap Mags which I browsed
through while in line at the grocery store interviewing the star to plays
Casey. He gave his interpretation of the stress Casey is under, and how
he feels the corporate types are stifling his creativity. And it's what
ABC is touting on the promo-commericials. I don't know, do any of you
think it's rivetting? Yes, I wanted him to stop being a whining whimp,
but I'm not sure if I like the addicted-to-coke thing either. And it
sort of looks like they're going to push Cooper and Ally back together
again. C'mon, it was just a year ago that Cooper was trying to woo Ally.
OK, back to the update ...

Steffi is having dinner with Eric at the same restaurant where the
engagement-foursome is, and they're making goo-goo eyes at each other.
Eric is worried about his mother who is in the hospital for tests, Steffi
tells him he's lucky to have a good Mom. When all of a sudden, a most
obviously cocaine high Casey comes whisking in. He seats himself down at
the table and starts babbling about his ideas for the campaign. Eric is
happy that his attitude has changed but tells him they should have this
meeting tomorrow morning with Tess. Casey pays no attention and keeps
rambling. Of course each idea he brings up doesn't sit well with Eric,
but he doesn't stop. Eric is obviously irrated that Casey is
interrupting and tells him repeatedly to save it for tomorrow. Finally
Eric gets up to call the hospital to check on his mom, leaving Steffi to
ask Casey if he's ok. She can tell he's on something, which he denies.
She tells him to go home to Ally, where he belongs! (BTW, Steffi has a
new hair color. Looks like she put reddish-almost purple- highlights in
it, Casey comments on it first thing.)

At the Rescott's house, Angie and Ally and Cooper are entertaining Kate.
Angie tells Ally that she thinks the "friend" is Cooper. Ally assures
her it isn't, but that her friend is getting help. They make tea, and Kate
decides to go to bed, with Angie promising to wake her if they hear
anything from Alex.

Cooper and Ally talk about Casey. Ally thinks it's her fault for not being
there for him, Cooper disagrees, tells her she's wonderful. She
confesses to talking to Angie, Cooper is relieved that someone else knows
about Casey's problem. Ally shyly tells him that she only said "friend"
and Angie thought it was Cooper! Cooper laughs and says, heck why not?
I slept with my girlfriend's mother and tried to kill my cousin. Why not
be a drug addict too? ... He wonders where Casey is, and Ally says
working. He offers her a ride home, she says no, Casey is picking them
up. She tells Cooper not to check up on Casey, she needs to trust him.
He says OK, he's going to get something to eat and leaves. Ally picks up
the phone, calls the office only to find out Casey left hours ago. She
says to herself ... Casey, where are you??

Casey finally leaves, and Eric returns. More compliments for Steffi's
beauty. Meanwhile, Cooper has left the Rescotts, and has entered the
restaurant. He sees Steffi having dinner with Eric and stops to stare
at her. She feels his eyes upon her, and looks up just as he starts to
walk away ....

The last scene of the day is of Casey huddled against empty boxes in an
allyway. He's talking to himself, telling himself to slow down. ... Why
did you do this when you promised you wouldn't? Oh God. This is the
last time. Why? .... He keeps pacing, saying he's got to go home but
can't like this....

[Gonna go home]

Replay of Alex shooting Gilbert. Ava screams and drops to her knees to
check on Gilbert. He's still alive. Ava tells Alex that he was just
letting them go! Sandy! Where is Sandy? He's ok, out in the car. Ava
runs to Alex and tells him she never gave up hope, she knew he would come
for her, that she loves him. Alex has a stunned look on his face the
whole time.

Alex has called the paramedics, Ava is still fussing over Gilbert when
Sandy enters. He wants to know what's wrong with Gilbert? Alex and Ava
reassure him that he will be OK, Alex says ... Don't worry, he won't hurt
you anymore ... But he didn't hurt me. He saved me from falling down a
big hole, and he taught me to change a tire ... More stunned/confused
looks from Alex. Ava tells him again that Gilbert was going to let them
go ...

Charles and the police enter. Charles is very happy, hugging Ava and
Sandy, telling Alex he's a hero, he knew he'd save his family. The
police and paramedics take Gilbert away. Alex walks over to Gilbert's
gun and finds it empty, more worried looks. Charles comes up to him all
smiles and asks why Alex is down after all he's a hero! Alex tells him
... He was unarmed! The gun was unloaded, he was letting them go, and I
shot him anyway! ... Charles doesn't reply.

Ava asks for a phone to call Kate. She gets a cellular from an officer
and dials the house. Ally answers. ... Ally? ... Ava? ... Yes sweetie,
it's me! We're ok, Alex is here ... Ava, ohmigod! ... Is Mamma there? ..
Yeah, oh god, hang on a minute. GRANMA! Come quick ... Kate comes down
the stairs ... What is it Ally? ... Granma, it's for you ... Who is it
... It's Ava! ... Ava?! ... She runs to the phone ... Honey Girl? Is it
you? ... Yes Mamma, it's me! We're all right. Alex is going to bring
Sandy and me home ... and by now all three of us are crying - Kate, Ava
and ME!!! .....

That's it for Tuesday!
