Storyline: "Audition"

Tess is walking around her apartment, singing. Buck shows up and asks if
he can come in. She says if he came here to talk her out of going to the
audition, just don't. He tries to speak, but she interrupts him, saying
that she already checked him out and he's legit. Buck asks her to listen
to him for once. He just came by to wish her good luck.

Buck has had all night to think about it and he acted like a jerk. He
practically interrogated the guy. No wonder she stormed off. Tess
says she didn't exactly enjoy spending the night by herself either.
Buck asks what just happened. Tess says they just had their first fight.
Buck asks if she won. They both did, she says. Buck agrees. Tess knows
she got kind of snappy, but she just couldn't let him tear into her
dream. Buck says he was only trying to protect her from getting hurt.
She knows, she's just not used to letting someone take care of her. He
tells her to get used to it. They kiss.

Tess says if she didn't know better, she would think that he was trying
to make her miss her appointment. Buck learned his lesson, the hard way.
He wants this for her. He offers to go with her, but she says it's
something she has to do on her own. Okay, but he wants a full report.
They'll celebrate. Tess has doubts, but Buck says that whether or not
she gets the part, she'll still be a winner in his eyes. He already
opened the envelope. Tess says he's been watching too many award shows.
Buck says soon they'll be attending them. Buck gives her a kiss for
luck and she leaves.

Buck asks Jacob for a favor, saying that he's planning a little surprise
for Tess.

The producer is glad Tess decided to take him up on her offer. She says
she wouldn't miss her chance at a real audition, what does she have to
lose. She sits down and starts pulling out her music. He says she won't
need that. The accompanist will. No accompanist. She says she would do
better with a real pianist rather than a capella. He says she'll do fine
She thinks for a moment then starts singing Amazing Grace. She sings one
line and he stops her, saying it was great. He needs to see the whole
package though. He tells her to stand on a mark in front of a camera.
He asks her to remove her top.

Storyline: More than friends

Ally can't believe Danny just said that. The part about cameras being
so automatic that even a monkey can take a great picture? Ally drops
her camera case and says she's sure he can find one at the zoo. Danny
tries to hand it to her, saying he hates monkeys, they're so mean
spirited. But, talented, Ally says. Danny tells her he was only
kidding. No one takes better pictures than she does. Ally thanks him
smugly and takes the case. Danny shows her the ad copy, saying it's
really edgy. He suggests they go, so they'll have light. Ally says
she's going to go alone. Danny has an interest to protect and wants to
go. Besides, he'll keep her company. Ally says that'd be nice, but
she's not sure Tony would like it.

Danny asks if Tony has a problem with them spending time together. She
says no. It's complicated. He asks if Tony know about them from before.
Yes. He says that could make using him on dates with Carla very
complicated. Ally sys he understands, he's totally fine. She says it's
just the whole marriage thing. Danny says an arranged marriage does not
a relationship make. Ally says he's having to spend more time with Carla
than he thought. Danny says then he should be glad Ally is working on
the magazine all the time. He is. Ally just thinks they should cool it
around Tony, not act so friendly toward each other. Danny says Tony is
jealous. He gets the message: "From now on, no more fun when we work
together...no joking, no laughing, no smiling, and I am coming on the
photo shoot with you just to make sure you follow the rules, you got it?"
Ally laughts, "Yes, sir." He says he'll deduct that laugh from her
next paycheck...when she gets a paycheck. They leave, laughing.

Ally and Danny take pictures of scenery and each other, having fun.

Ally and Danny agree it went well, but Danny says the pictures took
themselves. He says anyone can take a good picture if they have the
right setting. Danny will prove it. He grabs her camera and takes
pictures of her. Ally says he's wasting her film and tries to get it
back.

Tony and Carla are coming up the elevator and Carla is gloating over
Tracey. They walk in and hear Ally laughing and demanding her camera
in a playful way. She chases Danny into another room as Tony and Carla
watch unnoticed.

Storyline: Desperation

Darrell Hassey, the collector, comes up to Tracey. She didn't return
his calls, so he thought he'd drop by and have a little chat about her
account. Before he can say anymore, she yells, "Darrell!" and whisks
him away form Gino, Carla, and Tony. She says she didn't recognize him
at first and kisses him on the lips. Then quietly she says if he doesn't
play along, he'll never see a dime of the money.

They tried to collect from her family, but htey gave them her address
Trancey tries to keep up the charade, but Darrell doesn't want to play.
No charade, no money.

Jacob is on the phone with Angie. She says it's still too early to
tell. They'll just have to wait and see. Jacob tells her not to have
a baby without him. She says no chance. They miss each other. He
wants to talk to her about David's money.

Tracey asks Darrell to sit down and drags him down. Carla comes over
and asks for an introduction to Tracey's friend. Tracey clamps her hand
over his mouth and says it's been a long time since they've seen each
other and she's sorry she's rude. Tony says he looks familiar. He
thinks he's worked with him. Darrell asks if he's a collector too.

Tracey says the only thing Jacob collects is parking tickets. Tony
thinks that would be even funnier if he owned a car. Tracey says Darrell
is a collector of rare things. Darrell tries to object, but Tracey pulls
him away.

Carla thinks Gino isn't the only fish on Tracey's hook.

Tracey and Darrell are both tired of this. He wants the money. She is
a little short right now. He'll just sell the story to the tabloids
then. That should cover half. She says she has some jewelry upstairs,
but he rejects it. He wants cash. She points to Jacot, on the phone,
and says he's going to give her $15,000.

Jacob wants to do something good with the money, something to make David
proud. He tells her about Tracey's "charity". Angie says it's his
money and his choice. He says it's their money and he wants it to be
put to good use. He'll think about what they should do. Angie tells
him to sleep on it.

Darrell says he looks like he'd have to save up for a trip on the subway.
Looks can be deceiving, she says. He doesn't know what kind of game she
is playing. She says stick around. He might like the outcome. He says
he's wasted all the time he's going to. She says she is a Quartermaine
and Quartermaines have been known to overlook a bill or two, then buy the
establishment. Her family wants nothing more to do with her. He wants
the money now or he'll tell all. That's the cold, hard reality. Jacob
interrupts them. He's been thinking it over and he's sorry.

Gino says he doesn't have to be the only fish in the sea, just the
biggest. Carla is just glad Gino got to see Tracey in action. Tony says
Tracey has that guy going. Carla says that not every woman belongs on
a pedestal like Mama. Gino agrees. Carla says there's a whole new
breed of woman out there. Gino admits he is old fashioned. Carla says
he's also pretty great. She asks him if he wants to get something to
eat, someplace uptown, real food. No, he just wants to take care of
something. She says they'll wait for him, but he tells them to go eat.
They leave.

Jacob says he's not sure if he's going to go with Tracey's charity. He's
going to check out other options, talk it over with his wife.

Darrell says he's leaving. Tracey catches him. Darrell says her
benefactor just checked out. Tracey insists he won't. He's heard all
he needs to hear. Tracey asks for some more time.

Darrell grants her one day, but after that "inquiring minds want to
know." They'll meet tomorrow at the bank. Tracey says a loud goodbye
and kisses him again. He leaves. Gino walks up to Tracey and plants a
big kiss on her.

Have a great weekend. Next weeks will be here, but not until Saturday.
I apologize in advance for the delay, but I will have it done. I promise
