Tuesday, on "the city", WCVB joins the program already
in progress:

Tracey tells Beth not to worry about the ottoman. Beth
leaves and Tracey says $3000 won't even do her nails.

In the bar, Tess gets a cold reception from Jacob, who
says he's going to go call Angie on the West Coast.
Tess asks Buck if he thinks Jacob is mad at her for
what she said about his $15,000. Meanwhile, Jacob has
a one-sided conversation with Angie about the *resort*
she's at, and Nick and the miracle.

Nick is upset that he was placed on the top of the
transplant list. The head of the department is looking at
Nick's chart, and Nick asks all sorts of questions. Nick
says that he was told, in plain Englsh that he was off the
transplant list. He wants to know how he got to the top
of the list.

The head of the department doesn't know what he's getting at,
but he can't be mad at them for saving his life. Nick says that
if they hadn't gotten a hold of him, his liver would have gone to
someone else, right? The department head says that he can
discuss the particulars of Nick's case, but the rest are private.
The department head leaves, and Loraine yells at Nick for not
being happy about this miracle.

Tess tells Buck that she told Jacob to keep his pennies, it
wouldn't help. He was hurt, she saw it. Well, no one else
saw it, Buck says, not even Jacob. Tess says that if she's
going to talk like a Bimbo, maybe she should sing like one, too.
Tess' piano player comes in, and she excuses herself.

Beth runs in to the penthouse. She tells Tracey that Mr.
Solieto is a gangster. They call him the Iron Fist, the
Brooklyn Don. Tracey says she knew he wasn't the Teflon Don,
he's in jail. Tracey says he's an invester, and sometimes, he
goes beyond the law, like a lawyer, or a politition. Tracey tells
Beth that Mr. Solieto is their best chance. At what? Beth asks.
A companion. She can give him what he wants. Not that, Tracey
says as Beth crosses herself. He wants class, she is class. And,
for a price, he can have her, Tracey says. What price? Every
damn dime he has, Tracey says.

Tracey says that Gino Solieto won't hurt anyone. The money is a
loan. She wants to pay off the taxes, sell the building, and then
pay Gino back, and leave with a couple of million. Beth has to
leave to meet the school bus. Tracey says she promised to meet
Dilon today. She tells Beth to lay down, say a couple of thousand
Hail Mary's and get ready for the acting job of a lifetime. Beth
doesn't think she's that good of an actress. Tracey picks up her
coat and says if she can pull this off, she should get an Oscar...
or an Emmy.

As Tess sings, Buck tells Jacob that Tess is afraid that she hurt
his feelings last night. Jacob agrees to talk to Tess. Buck and
Jacob talk about Buck and Tess. Buck says being in love with
Tess is like getting a second chance at life.

Loraine is upset that Nick wants to find out who would have
gotten his liver. Loraine wants him to realize this was a
miracle. Nick thinks the department head is on the take. He's
the kind of doctor that makes deals, not rounds. He shouldn't
have been in here looking after Nick. Maybe he's a fan, Loraine
offers. He doesn't think so. Does he look like a rock 'n' roll
fan? He wants to know why a doctor who should be looking at
financial statements is looking at his chart. Loraine says she
just wants to thank God for bringing him back to her. Nick says
he just can't stop thinking about Sydney, and how she might have
bought someone off to get him his transplant. Then bravo to
Sydney, Loraine says. She finally did something good.

A nurse comes in, and Loraine is kicked out of the room. Nick
tells the nurse that he heard what she said last night. He
wants to know where she got her information from.

Tracy tells Dilon that he'll like the Dalton school. Only Dalton
students get after-school treats. Look, Dilon says, there's his
friend (Jacob). Jacob goes over to Tess and tells her that she
saved him, he really didn't want to throw away that money. He
offered the money to have something to do. They hug, and Jacob
tells her to get back to rehearshing, they guys charge by the
hour. Speakign of that, can she borrow a few bucks? Just kidding,
Tess says. Jacob says he thinks that she has all the Bucks she
can handle. More than she can handle, Tess smiles. Someone comes
over and introduces himself.

Tracy decides the waitress is on break, so she takes Dilon's
order. One egg cream, coming up, she salutes. She goes over to
the bar, in time to overhear Jacob and Buck talking about Jacob's
$15,000. Hello there, Curly, she says to Jacob. Remember me? She
laughs.
