Still no change in the opening credits.

Alex stops by Jocelyn+s - he+s upbeat, she+s down. He tells her he may
have their tax problems solved - he went to see Tracy. Joc is not pleased.
Jocelyn can imagine the kind of persuading Tracy would Alex to do.
Alex wants her to show him what+s she+s imagining and Joc, in a considerably
lightened mood, tells him to get away from her. He assures her that Tracy
knows he+s taken. He explains the deal he proposed to Tracy. She+s upset
that he didn+t ask anyone first. He tells her that he did ask - he had a
stimulating conversation with himself. He compares Tracy to a snapping
turtle, when she feels threatened she bites. But underneath the shell is a
soft
and fluffy person. (Note to non-GHers - I have **never** heard Tracy
called soft and/or fluffy before!!) He tells of her love for her family,
but
that she is spoiled and self-centered (now this sounds more like it!). They
discuss redecorating and then head upstairs.

Tracy apologizes to Gino, he accepts. She tells him she+s had a horrible
week and he just happened to see it all. She+s sorry she took it out on
him and they agree to a fresh start. She asks if the offer for a drink is
still good and since it+s early orders a tonic with a twist of lime. He
starts to bring up what she said about his family - she interrupts, asking
him to look at her mouth and see how big it is. They discuss powerful,
strong families and self-made men like her father and the "very much
younger" Gino. He talks sadly about his dead wife and she tells him that
her divorce caused her to build a hard shell around herself. She charms
Gino into talking about his family. Gino+s driver comes in to remind him
that he has a very important appointment and the new limo has arrived.
They leave and Tracy loses her soft voice as she wonders what kind of
appointment - to whack someone? She then yells for the waiter and orders
a double scotch. She then compliments herself on her talent and says
that desperate times call for desperate measures.

The medical team tries to revive Nick while the crew looks in through a
big glass window (has anyone *ever* seen a hospital with the big windows
in the rooms like soaps have?!?). Someone closes the blinds and Zoey
break down in grief. Tess and Buck arrive and Angie has them and Richard
take the hysterical Zoey to the waiting room. She then turns to help Jacob
comfort the sobbing Lorraine. Angie goes into Nick+s room to help cheer
him on. Meanwhile, Jacob flashes back to Nick+s life, starting with him
telling Nick "I thought you were dead!" when they first met. The flashback
ends with Nick dancing with Lorraine. We come back to the present seeing
Lorraine looking sad, then upset as Angie walks into the room with a somber
expression. The tells them he pulled through and is conscious but is still
in
bad shape. Lorraine, Richard, and Zoey go in to see him. They point out
Jacob, Buck, and Tess watching through the window, assuring him that a
lot of people down there love him. Later, Buck and Jacob discuss their
short
stints as fathers, while Tess tells Angie that she could be the next medical
mystery. Angie wants to tell Jacob the truth but is afraid that giving
Jacob
hope that turns out to be false would be devastating for him. Elsewhere,
Richard thanks Zoey for being there and tells her he loves her. In Nick+s
room, Lorraine tells him about her pact with God that she+d quite drinking
if Nick pulled though and she throws away her bottle. (Last scene - no
hanger)
