Tuesday on "the city":

Ally brings donuts and coffee in to the office. She tells
Tony that she made it safe to her place, all the way
across the hall, thanks to Det. Carlin. Tony appologizes.
She says it's okay. Ally finds out that they're alone.
(Carla is out wheeling and dealing, Danny went to work,
and Alex hasn't come in to work yet.) She says maybe
they can take advantage of this time? They kiss. Alex
comes in sees them kissing. He turns back to the the
door and then slams the door and asks if he should
take a walk around the block. Sure, they reply. Alex
asks if Tony has called the hospital yet. No, it's
only 6am on the West Coast. Alex says he doesn't think
they'll get anything from the hospital on the phone,
so he and Jocelyn will fly up to Portland. Good! Ally
and Tony say together. Alex says he'd swear they
wanted to get rid of him.

The phone rings in Sydney's office (Tess' old agency).
Danny says to Jocelyn that if that's Molly, he's not
here. Jocelyn answers the phone. It's Molly. Jocelyn
ays he's not here. Molly figures that he must be up
with Sydney. She hangs up and says that Danny is being
naughty again. Back in the office, Jocelyn wants to
know what the problem is with Danny and Molly.

Tony volunteers to go to Portland with Alex. They
decide that Tony should stay. Since the Masquerader is
still here, someone needs to keep an eye out here.
Alex asks about Carla. Tony says that Carla was upset
about her phone being missing. Alex is surprised, you
mean that she was almost human? Tony tells Alex not
to go that far. They traced the call the person who
took the phone made - to the hospital in Portland.
Ally sasy that means the Masquerader was here last
night. So, this hospital is probably the key to the
whole thing, Alex says.

Danny tells Jocelyn that Sydney is moving the operation
to London. Jocelyn asks when Sydney was going to everyone.
He tells her that Sydney is keeping the office open
here, so her job is safe. He tells her that he is going
to make the clean break. Sydney says he's Sydney's right
hand man. Jocelyn says he must be very good with his
right hand. Jocelyn can't believe that Sydney talked him
into this.

Sydney is talking on the phone to Jackson Montgomery
(from Pine Valley). She tells him that she's moving to
London. He says it's wonderful there this time of year.
She asks if he'll come to visit. He will if he can get
away. He asks if she got the papers he sent over - seems
there are a couple of problems with the building. She
says no she hasn't seen the papers, but it doesn't
surprise her that there are problems with the building.
She is dumping this building, if she can find someone to
buy it. Jackson tells her that he has to get back to
court. Sydney hangs up and there is a pounding on the
door. It's Molly, looking for Danny, being blocked by
the bodyguard. It's okay, Sydney says, Little Molly is
no threat. Molly gives her one of those looks that
could kill.

Where's Danny? Molly screams. Sydney says she assumes
that he's down in the office. Molly says that she called
there and he's not there. Then Sydney has no ideas.
Mooly likes to keep track of where Danny is. Smoothering
a man is the surest way to chase him away, Sydney says.
Molly asks if Sydney keeps track of the competition.
Sydney doesn't know of any. Molly gets in her face and
says that Sydney paid to get Molly a part. Most actresses
would be thrilled at the chance. Molly yells but she
told Jason (the play's director) to make her life
miserable. Sounds like Molly is paranoid Sydney says.
Molly yells that Sydney told him to make her rehearse
late and to keep her away from Danny. She's pathetic.
DON'T CALL ME PATHETIC! Molly screams. Molly says Danny
came up and asked for a few days off. What did Sydney
say? No problem, Sydney says. Molly says yeah, but then
she sent him away on as bogus business trip, right?.
Not quite. Sydney tells Molly that she offered him
a salary of $100,000 plus. With one catch, Sydney adds.
That Molly was out of the picture. Molly thinks that
Danny turned her down. Sydney says that Danny said he
had to think about it. But, Sydney says, it's a
foregone conclussion.

Danny tells Jocelyn, $100,000 plus, sure he's thinking
about it. He realizes that he has no chance anywhere
else. Jocelyn says that Syndey will toss him away when
she's done with him. Danny says that if he applied to
a corporation like Chase, he'd be in the mail room. So,
don't apply to a corporation. He is a high school drop
out. A failure. Jocelyn says that sounds like Daddy.
She wants him to think about it. You mean, Danny says,
turn Sydney down. Just think about it, Jocelyn asks.
She has to go to Portland for a lead. About the
Masquerader? Yes, but don't tell anyone. Sure, Danny
says.

Alex, Tony, and Ally go over the list of who was there
last night. Tony tells Alex to have a good trip to
Portland. Alex warns them to cool it while he's gone.
He's serious. They could be looking in the window,
and Tony and Ally wouldn't know it. Tony yells at Alex
to stay out of his life.

What the hell was that all about? Alex asks. He was
just trying to point out that the Feds might be watching.
Tony says he knows this, but he and Ally are in love.
Alex sasy he knows; everytime he sees them, it looks
like they're attacted at the face. Alex appologizes
and so does Tony. Tony says he called Ally at 3am.
That was you? Ally asks. Sorry if he scared her. No,
Ally says, she's okay. There is a knock at the door.
It's Jocelyn. Alex asks if they're cool? Tony says
yeah, he's fine. Alex asks if they can shake. Tony was
holding out for a kiss. Alex says no way, he's a
married man. Alex and Jocelyn leave. Tony and Ally
kiss. Ally pulls away, saying they have to stop.

In Jocelyn's apartment, Alex and Jocelyn talk about
Danny giving up Molly for a 6 figure income and
Sydney. Jocelyn asks if Alex would give her up. For
a steady income and 6 figures? It was nice knowing her,
Alex jokes. No, he wouldn't give her up, ever. For
a million? Jocelyn asks. He thinks before answering
No. Two million? No. Three million? She's cute, Alex
jokes, but she ain't that cute. She hits his microphone
(I mean chest) and they kiss.

Danny is walking up the stairs thinking about what
Jocelyn said about what he needs to do for the money.

Meanwhile, Molly says that Danny would never give her
up. And even if he said that he would, he would still
see her. Then, Sydney says, he'd need a permanant seat
on the Concorde. Oh, Sydney says, didn't she mention
that the job is in London? So, if he wanted to see
Molly, he'd have to jet back and forth a lot. The phone
rings. Sydney gets it and talks to someone. Molly picks
up something sharp and stalks Sydney, slowly.
