Tuesday, in "the city":

The sun is setting.

In Tony's apartment, Gino tells Garla and Tony that he
wants to see them acting like a happy couple. Tony tells
everyone to leave. He tells Ally that this is not what
it looks like. Carla's complaining that she doesn't want
to live in this dump. She wants Jocelyn to find a loop
hole, that's what lawyers *do*. Alex tells Carla to watch
herself. Gino warns Alex to watch how he talks to his
daughter. Jocelyn tells Tony and Carla that they don't
have a choice. Carla has to move in; Ally cannot.

At the bar, Molly calls Portland Psychiatric Hospital.
She wants to talk to a patient Tommy (missed the last
name). She tells him that she did it. The control box
was wired just like he said it would be. The rest was
easy. She killed Sydney Chase.

At the top of the elevator, near the open door, Richard
is calling down the shaft for Sydney.

Buck and jacob come out of the bar. Buck says he doesn't
hear it anymore. Jacob says it sounded like a train
coming through here. They hear Richard calling for
Sydney. It's upstairs, Buck says as he and Jacob run
up the stairs. Richard gets Sydney to talk. He wants
to go get help, but she doesn't want him to leave. Buck
and Jacob arrive.

On the phone, Tommy wants to know if she fall in, or
did she push her? She doesn't want to talk about it,
Molly says, never again! Tommy says that she doesn't
have to yell at him. Molly says when she was in a bad
place, they were happy, and Sydney wanted Danny. But
now, hee hee, Sydney is dead, and she'll have Danny.
She'll get everything that she always wanted. Sure,
Tommy says, what *she* wanted. She tells Tommy that
they'll still be friends, but tommy doesn't seem
convinenced. Molly says she won't be able to call
him again. He gets upset, and she tells him that she
needs him to promise that he won't tell. And she'll
try to call in a couple of days. He promises. She
hangs up and says Tommy won't tell, Sydney is hee hee
dead, and everything is over.

Jocelyn tells them that under normal circumstances,
they would buy it. But they're not gonna believe it.
Alex says he was there in court, he heard Jocelyn
tell the Feds that you two were long-time sweethearts;
they aren't buying it. You have to prove this is a *real*
marriage, Jocelyn repeats. Gino realizes the Feds won't
give up easy. Tony says give them the marriage
certificate, he's out of here. Come on, Ally, Tony
says. No, Jocelyn says. You two can't be alone anymore.
Carla smirks.

Tony says hurting Ally was not part of the deal. Alex
says if they don't believe in spies in the building, he
and Jocelyn were followed here from the court house.
Gino tells Carla that if she hadn't gone behind his back
and dealt with Jared...Joey steps in and tells Gino that
this is a problem with them two. No, Gino says, this is
a *family* problem, not their problem. Joey gets Gino to
agree to go home and let the newlyweds handle this.
Gino wants to talk to Carla. Tony thanks Joey, and tells
him that was brave, standing up to Uncle Gino. Joey
says, yeah, but he'll hear about it all the way home.
Tony tells Joey that he doesn't want to hear any more
about Joey taking the fall for everything. Joey agrees.
Joey and Gino leave.

Buck rescues Sydney from the shaftusing the fire hose
Richard had out. The elevator drops all the way to the
bottom. Jacob says that was close. Too close, Buck says.
Five more seconds and she would have bought the farm.

Alex says what was that? Sounded like the elevator, he
says. Carla says wonderful, she's on the fifth floor
with a non-working elevator. Ally says want to get to
the bottom floor? She knows a fast way, and it would
solve *all* their problems.

Ally says she's some piece of work. Someone could have
been injured on the elevator, and all she cares about
is her inconvience. Alex, coming back in, says it was
the elevaor, looks like it came from the penthouse. Was
anyone on it? Ally says. He's not sure. The phone rings.
It's Jacob, telling Alex that the masquerader almost got
Sydney. Sydeny? Alex sasy, getting Danny's attention.
They're going to the bar, Jacob says. Alex tells them
he'll be right down. Danny wants to go with him. Jocelyn
suggests that Ally leave, too. No, she's not ready.
Long stares between Ally and Tony. Carla says, yes, Ally,
afterall, this is (kiss on Tony's cheek) their wedding
night.

In her penthouse, Buck suggests Sydney try to walk. She
has pain in her ankle, so Richard gives her some ice.
She thanks them for saving her life. They ask her to
remember that the next time they're late with the rent.
Well, she jokes...if they hadn't moved in here in the
first place...Buck says...she'd be lonely and would have
missed their company. She laughs. Buck and Jacob leave
to go to the bar. Sydney says she was sure it was Richard
who called, but the more she thinks about it, it was
choppy. Richard says like someone spliced his voice from
HotLine? Probably, now that she thinks about it. Sydney
thinks this was fate, his being there and saving her. Well,
Richard says, he had some help. She thinks this is a sign
that they have the chance to start over.

In the bar, Molly is rehearshing her surprised look for
when they tell her that Sydney is dead. Alex, Danny, Jacob,
and Buck come into the bar and Danny asks how Sydney is.
Molly overhears Jacob say that she is better than she
would have been if she had fallen to the bottom with the
elevator. A sprained ankle and some bruises, is Jacob's
diagnosis. She's not dead? Molly says, Nooooooooo.
