Hi everyone!

The storylines today were divided pretty evenly between the hospital and

WHAT'S YOUR BLOOD TYPE??
Location: the hospital

*Zoey is pacing in the waiting room. She's upset because Nick wants her
to take his last name. Richard says it's only natural because he thinks
Zoey's his daughter. Zoey stops Angie as she walks by, but Angie won't
tell her anything, she has to talk to Nick first. Zoey wants to go with
her. "Alone", says Angie. Zoey starts to protest. "Not now!", Angie
tells her and walks away. Zoey turns around and hugs Richard, she's
sure it's bad news.

*Angie enters Nick's room. He's awake, but Lorraine is lying beside him
on the bed, sleeping. Lorraine wakes up. Angie suggests that Lorraine
should go and get some coffee, but Lorraine wants to stay. Nick wants
her to stay, too. "How bad is it?", Nick asks Angie.

*There's some internal bleeding, Nick needs surgery as soon as an OR is
available. Angie leaves to get everything ready. Zoey and Richard come
in. Lorraine leaves to go get some coffee. Nick tells them he has to
have surgery. Zoey is excited, she thinks he's getting a new liver.
No, they're just going to do a "patch job" on his old one.

*Out in the hall, Lorraine asks Angie for the truth. It looks bad for
Nick, Angie tells her. Then why don't they do the transplant now,
Lorraine wants to know. Because they are low on AB negative blood,
which is a rare blood type. Angie has calls in to other hospital to try
and get some. Someone comes up and tells Angie that St. Sophia's had no
AB- blood, but they're trying other hospitals. Lorraine is very upset.
"Someone has to do something to save Nick!", she says, crying. Angie
hugs her.

*Zoey is taping Nick's newspaper reviews on the wall. "Nick Rivers, The
Comeback Kid" and "Nick Rivers Alive and in Excellent Form". Zoey asks
Nick if he's scared. He denies it. Richard asks if there's any word on
a matching donor. Not yet. Nick grimaces in pain. Zoey gets upset and
goes outside. Nick tells Richard to pull up a chair, he wants to talk
to Richard. Even thought they're telling him this surgery is no big
deal, he's worried. It's like they say, "you have to pay the piper".
Nick did "whatever he wanted, whenever he wanted, with whoever he
wanted. No promises, no future, no regrets." That's what he needs
Richard's help with.

*Zoey asks Lorraine to tell her the truth. It's not good, Lorraine
says, and hugs Zoey. Zoey says that Nick shouldn't have done the
concert when he was so sick. It meant everything to him, Lorraine tells
her. He didn't need to prove anything to me, Zoey says, crying. He had
to prove it to himself. He's going to be just fine, Lorraine says.

*Nick wishes he had met Lorraine years ago and wishes that he had been
around when Zoey was growing up. He would have spoiled her rotten and
made sure she kept out of trouble. Richard says he doesn't think that
Zoey could possibly love Nick any more than she does now. Finding Nick
changed her, grounded her. Sometimes when Nick looks at Zoey, he can
see Cassie 20 years ago. Nick wants Richard to promise to look after
Zoey, make sure she's happy. If not, he's going to come back from
wherever he is and kick Richard's "Australian butt". Richard promises
to take care of Zoey. Richard and Nick shake hands.

*Zoey asks Angie if there's any word on when the surgery will be. They
found a few pints of blood, but they want more. What blood type is
Zoey? She doesn't know. She would love to help, but... But what,
Angie asks. "But I'm not Nick's daughter", she tells Angie. Sydney,
who just stepped off the elevator, overhears Zoey telling Angie she's
not Nick's daughter.

THE MASQUERADE CONTINUES
Starting location: Tony and Danny's apartment

*Tess is holding up the funeral wreath. She puts it down to answer a
knock at the door. "Who is it?", she wants to know. It's Buck,
bringing a bag for Tess. What's in it, he wants to know. You'll find
out later, Tess tells him. Alex gets off the phone. They've found
where the wreath came from - it was stolen earlier that morning from
Peretti(sp?) and Sons Funeral Home. "They stiffed a stiff??", Tess asks.
The note seems the same as the other ones, computer-generated, and it
looks like the same printer.

*(Sydney's office in Tess's former agency) Sydney and Jocelyn walk in.
Sydney says they'll have the office up and running in a few days. She
asks Joc if she knows how to use a computer. Jocelyn answers yes and
turns on the computer sitting on the desk. It used to be Tess's, along
with everything else there. Joc feels sorry for Tess. "Tess Wilder is
getting exactly what she deserves", says Syd. Sydney wants Tess to come
and finish clearing out her stuff. Jocelyn offers to call Tess, but
Sydney says she'll do it.

*(Tony's apartment) Alex tells Tess not to make too much of this. Alex
is the one who said the "obituary was an idle threat and that it would
end there", Tess reminds him. Tony tells her they're doing all they
can. That doesn't exactly make her feel safe, Tess tells him. The phone
rings, it's Sydney, she would like Tess to come down to the agency. Alex
wants to know why Sydney wants to see Tess. Maybe she wants to give
Tess back the key to the agency, Tess suggests. Alex wants Tony to go
with her. Buck says that he'll go and leaves with Tess. Tony
apologizes to Alex, he's having trouble concentrating. Rebecca keeps
calling him every few hours about the tapes. Either he turns them over,
or he's going to jail. There's a knock on the door, it's Joey. No, Gino
or Carla didn't send him. He's come to solve Tony's problem.

*(Sydney's office) Sydney's on the phone trying to check on Nick's
condition. The hospital tells her that he's allowed to have visitors.
Tess and Buck come in. Tess tells Syd that if Syd gives her the keys,
she can move back in in no time. Sydney tells Tess to start packing,
she wants Tess out within 24 hours or she'll send her stuff to charity.
Syd doesn't need this space, why is she doing this? Because Tess stole
Jared's ashes and blackmailed her. Tess turns to Joc, how can you work
for Sydney? Joc tells Tess she's sorry. "Thanks a lot, FRIEND", Tess
tells her. "I hope you choke on it", Tess tells Sydney as she and Buck
leave. Jocelyn asks Syd if that was really necessary. "That was
pay-back time, and I always collect", Sydney tells her. "I'll remember
that", Joc mumbles. Sydney and Jocelyn leave. Sydney reminds Jocelyn
to turn off the computer, which she does.

*(Tony's apartment) Tony says, "let me guess, you want the tapes". Joey
didn't mention the tapes, did he? OK, then what does Joey know, Tony
asks. The Feds are threatening to put Tony's dad in jail unless they
get the tapes. Joey reminds Tony of their dad's high blood pressure.
Tony would never rat on this dad, Tony tells Joey. Of course not, Joey
says, but Tony's not going to give up the tapes either. Joey's got a
solution - he'll take the fall.

*Joey will tell the Feds that he was the only one working with Jared.
He'd do it to protect their parents. It won't work, Tony tells him.
The FBI already knows that it's Tony's voice on the tape. Besides,
Uncle Gino is the one they want. It's a shame all this happened, all
Tony wanted to do was protect the people he loves. Joey promises Tony
that everything will be OK. Alex says he thinks they're overlooking
something. He asks Tony to hand him the phone. "I think it's time that
we had a little party."

*Tess enters the front door of the building with Buck. She wearing a
red wig. "At least that nut is going to have to squint to find his
target", she tells Buck. She was a fool to think that Sydney was going
to give her back the agency. They stop in front of the elevator. Tess
turns around quickly to get on the elevator and bumps into a man getting
out. "Oh God!", she exclaims. Tess hugs Buck, she's shaking like a
leaf. "And that's the way it's going to stay until this day is
over"

*(Tess's former agency) It's empty and dark. We see someone walking
toward the computer from their point of view. A black gloved hand turns
on the computer. A menu appears and the person opens a file named
Happy.Doc (Jocelyn didn't notice this when using the computer earlier?!)
The Masquerader starts typing, "Dear Tess,"....

To be continued....
