Sorry I missed yesterday's show. If anyone wants to fill
in a quickie update, I'd appreciate it. Also, sorry this
was late, I could blame it on the mail server being down
all day Wednesday, but honestly, I had too many real-life
things pop up after the show and I had no time to edit
this.

Today, on "the city":

In Buck's apartment, Buck is stirring his coffee, adding
sugar. Tess asks if Buck wants some coffee in his sugar.
He says it's fine. No wonder he's always smiling, Tess says,
he's always on a sugar high. He offers her some vitamins,
she refuses, saying she might choke on them. She says her
obit says she has a few good days left (ed. note: well, that
answers one question...it's not August 26th there yet).
There is a knock on the door. It's Azure, saying she's
going to San Francisco. Buck realizes that she wants to
talk to Tess, so he leaves, telling Azure that if things
don't pan out in San Francisco, to remember she has
friends here. Buck kisses Tess, telling her to let him
know if Angie calls with an update on Nick. He leaves.
So, what's up? Tess asks Azure.

In the hospital, Zoey sneaks into Nick's room. He says hi.
She thought he was asleep. Where's Loraine? Nick asks.
She went to the cafeteria, after he drifted off to sleep.
What're those? Nick asks, about the newspapers Zoey has.
Reviews, she says. Read 'em and weep, Nick suggests. No,
all raves, she says.

Danny knocks on a door and kisses Molly when she opens it.
She is cold to him. he is perky, and she is upset. She says
she went to his place when she got back from rehersal last
night. Late. He tells her that he was working late, with
Sydney. Molly is very cold to him.

In Sydney's apartment, Richard tells Sydney that Nick's
liver is gone, and if they don't find a suitable donor,
he'll die. Sydney tells Richard to tell Nick that is there
is anything she can do...Richard tells her to tel him
herself. She can't she's busy. He takes her appointtment
book and sees some business meetings, and then lunch with
DR...please tell me that's Dinah Ross, not Danny Roberts,
Richard begs.

Buck goes down to Bernardo's place. Buck heard that he
was leaving. Maybe, Buck laughss, he can get a place
with windows. Buck says he saw Bernardo and Azure
talking. Bernardo tells Buck that they just can't be
together. Buck asks if he is trying to convince him,
or himself.

Molly is grinding beans. Danny guesses she's upset about
his working late with Sydney. More grinding of the beans.
Danny tells her about the magazine, and the apartment in
Paris, and how he'll take Molly, he says, as he sweeps
her up, off her feet in a big hug. If, she sighs, if she
gets canned from the play. She wonders sometimes, Molly
says, how she got the part.

Sydney admits to Richard that the lunch data is indeed
with Danny. Richard said he thought Nick was the love of
her life. Once, Sydney sighs, but Nick has told her that
he has no room in his life for Sydney anymore. Richard
wants her to work on that. He wants to know, honestly,
what she wants from Danny Roberts. We're two adults, she
says, what does he *think* she wants from Mr. Roberts?

In the light of his being her son, Richard says, he'll
take the fifth. She jumps up, excited, and says she wants
a wedding ring. She wants to move to the country, and
have his children.Knowing Danny, she continues, he'll
probably want three. A house in the country, she beams;
a minivan, she continues. She sits down and tells him
she does *not* want a life-time committment, they are
so hard to get rid of, as they found out recently. They
talk about Molly, and Sydney says that she is rehearsing
that Broadway play. Richard says she did it? She got
Molly the part? Sydney says she wants what she wants, and
she'll do what has to. Ricahrd says okay, but pelase don't
plan any more murders, not even a convience store holdup.
Oh, shucks, Sydney jokes, and they had their eye on this
little place. Richard suggests video games for excitement.
Sydney asks if this means she has his blessing. Sorta of,
Richard says. She knows, she has one thing to do still,
Sydney sighs. She has to go see Nick. If he'll see her,
she adds. Richard says he will.

Zoey reads the review outloud, to Nick. It's a wonderful
comeback performance, and it left the audience wanting
more music, and wanting Nick Rivers to take more off. It
doesn't say that, Nick suggests. No, but it should, Zoey
says. Any good critic would have seen the look in the
crowd. They wanted to see more of him, Zoey says. She
suggests a follow up album done here in this room,
called White, after the hospital. Nick cringes. Zoey
offers to get the nurse. Nick says it passed. Zoey says
they should be taking better care of you. They're doing
fine.

Molly says the read through last night went terrible.
Danny says once they channel her creative energy, she'll
be unstoppable. Danny would make a wonderful coach, Molly
sighs. She'll be fine, he offers. He's going to do fine,
too, Molly says. She's owrried about him becoming so
successful. He's the one that's worried. She looks at him.
He's worried about the groupies that will be waiting for
her at the back stage door after the performances. But,
Danny promises, he'll be at that back door, pushing his
way through to see her. They kiss.

Azure tries to give Tess a royality check. Azure says
because of her (Azure), the agency is gone. Tess says
Azure didn't do that, Jared did it. He was trying to
take her (Tess) down, Tess says, and he took Azure, too.
Tess gives her the check back. Azure asks if she's sure.
Tess says she's not rolling in money, but she'll be okay.
She wants Azure to take the money and make a new start.
Azure thanks her for having faith in her when no one else
did. They hug.

Buck and Bernardo talk about finding love in the strangest
places. Bernardo says that he has to do this. He has a
plane to catch, Bernardo adds. Buck says that he'll miss
him. Bernardo says if Buck gets into a jam, Bernardo can
overnight him whatever he needs. Buck jokes that he'll
miss Bernardo's bar tab, too. Buck says he hopes that
Bernardo won't regret this decision later. Buck leaves.
Bernardo looks around, like he's considering something.

Danny says guess what he wants to do. He picks Molly up.
One of those rootop dates, Danny suggests. Her, him, music,
the noonlight. They can make love until the sun comes up.
He puts her on the couch. She tells him not to tempt her.
She's late for her rehearsal. Shescrambles out form under
him and leaves.

Nick asks Zoey to take his last name, to make it official,
to make it so she inherits everything. Richard silently
comes into the room. She tells Nick that she doesn't want
to inherit anything if he has to die first. He wants to
have his name continue on. Richard says that's a wonderful
idea, Richars offers: Zoey Rivers.

Azure is sitting in the window seat of the airplane,
looking out the window. The seat next to her is empty.
She's daydreaming, looking out the window. Excuse me,
someone says, is this seat taken? She looks, and can't
believe it...it's NOT Bernardo. As she realizes it's
not Bernardo, she says, no, she's not expecting anyone.
She takes her stuff off the chair. She gazes out the
window again, unhappy. The guy in front of her puts his
seat back. Please, Azure sighs, put your seat up, she
says, I have long legs. the guy gets up and turns around
and Bernardo, smiling, tells her that there is more
space up here. She smiles, ear to ear.

At the bar, Tess and Buck talk about how they can't
believe Bernardo is letting Azure fly off without
stopping her. Someone says this was at the bar when
they opened up. It's for Tess. Oh, no, Tess realizes,
it's a funeral wreath. Buck says now that she mentions
it, it does look like that. There's a card, Buck notices,
should he read it? No, she'll read it. Rest in peace,
the card says, enjoy the flowers while you're alive and
Happy Now.
