Update for The City 8/16/96

This is my first update so bear with me.

Storyline: Tess/Buck--they are making a plate for Danny's party.

This platter is sad-looking. Does he have anything for decoration
like parsely or green onion? He looks in the refrigerator. Is this
party at Danny's an all night thing?, Buck asks. Tess doesn't know.
If one of them falls asleep in the bathtub it will be. Buck hands her
some celery and asks if it is okay. She says yes, if he is inventing
penicillin. Throw it out. Born yesterday is playing at the Waverly,
he says. That's her favorite movie, she says. "You're kidding!"
"You knew that," she says, smiling. It's nice that he remembered.
Well, she's seen it over a hundred times, he says. That's really sweet
of him. What can he say: He's just feels like being sweet all of a
sudden. They kiss.

Outside the door. A gloved hand places a folded newspaper in front of
the door.

Tess and Buck step out the door and she kicks the paper. What is that?
she asks. She picks it up. The Post. That's weird, he says. They
don't subscribe to that paper. Maybe it's a freebie, she says.
Maybe Nick subscribed to it. Yeah, whatever, he says. They're going
to be late. Does he think nick would mind if they borrowed it to look
up movie times? Buck still isn't sure it is Nick's. She'll just keep
it then. It's weird, she says as they start walking upstairs: It's
like someone knew we were going to need it.

At Danny's Party. That flirty chick (I can't remember her name) comes
up to Tess and Buck. Buck is fixing a hot dog.

Buck didn't know she knew Danny. She doesn't. She was in the bar when
he invited the immediate worls, so she thought she would...check it out,
Tess finishes for her. She thinks the two of them are great together and
and wishes them the best...truly. She kisses Buck on the lips. Tess has
an "Mm-hmm, sure" look on her face. What was that all about? She was
just being nice. Hmph! (slightly surprised) Beautiful and nice.
Imagine that. Imagine what?, he asks. Tess can't believe he dropped
the chick for her. She was never even in the same ball game, he says.
They kiss.

Buck and Tess are leaving. She goes to check the movie times. That's
strange. The paper is open to the obituary section, she says. She
looks closer. "Oh my God!" What?, he asks. Wo died? "I did," she says

Storyline: Jocelyn/Alex--They are in the Hallway. Alex is lugging a
heavy box. Jocelyn comes up behind him.

What is it?, she asks. Jared's surveilance equipment. They're bringing
it over. She's supposed to be at that bar association meeing. Yeah,
does he have a minute? Of course. Inside, she says. She opens the
door and he brings the box in with him. He is not going to believe what
happened.

Alex is sitting at the table. Jocelyn is pacing as she talks. The
committee decided, after taking into consideration her record as an
attorney...which is outstanding, he cuts her off...and the fact that she
has never been convicted or accused of solicitation, which thank God,
she hasn't...can she hurry this along?, he asks. They unanimously
decided to overlook the unforunate episodes of her past and allow her to
make a fresh start. They aren't going to take any disciplinary action
against her. That's great! He hugs her. She is so excited. She has a
right to be, he says. Wonderful things are going to happen for her.
They hear the music and go over to Danny's apartment.

At the party. Joc and Alex go up to Danny and Molly while they are
kissing. That's all right. They'll just talk amongst themselves. Danny
and Molly turn around. Guess who's going to be a big broadway star,
Danny says. It's not a lead, Molly says, but it is a real part. Alex
is impressed. That's fantastic, Joc says. Danny is glad she heard
about the party. The party can be heard across the street. He was going
to invite her but he remembered she had that big bar association meeting.
She has good news herself. they dismissed all the charges. They hardly
even asked her any questions. This has been the best day of his life,
Danny says. She can't wait to tell Sydney, Joc says. Why?, Molly asks.
Because she offered her a job without knowing the outcome. Danny is
working for her too. Does he think that's a good idea?, Joc asks. Don't
sweat it. It'll be good for everyone. Things are finally looking up.

Joc and Alex are dancing slowly to a fast song. Danny gave his approval
in his own sort of way, Alex says. He's not going to give up, is he?
Watch him, he says.

Storyline: Ally/Tony--They are taking boxes out of the elevator and
putting them in the hallway.

Tony likes the view from behind (of Ally). The fron tis not so shabby
either. She reminds him they're supposed to be working. Tony tells
her to hold the doors while he gets the rest of the boxes. Where's
Alex? Ally asks. Tony thinks he's inside. They have to move quickly
before Danny gets hom, Tony says. They have to hook up about 15 cameras.
Ally just hopes that whoever was watching them doesn't know that they
will be watching him/her. They'll probably just think all this stuff got
confiscated, Tony says. Actually, they could start viewing them tonight,
if they can keep their minds on business. He moves the last of the boxes
and leans up against the stacks. Ally tells him to speak for himself as
she moves closer to him. He says he is. They kiss. The music starts up
from Tony's loft. What the hell is that? It's his loft, Ally tells him.
Tony doesn't know, but he doesn't like it. The DJ appears. What doesn't
he like? He yells for Danny, saying they have early arrivals. Danny
walks in and says, "Are you kidding? This is the guest of honor!" What
is all this? Danny yells, "It's a party!"

Tony brings in the boxes. He thought Danny was going to go out tonight.
Danny changed his mind. They don't have to work, do they? The phone
rings. Tony asks the DJ to lower the music while he answers it. Danny
turns to Ally. It's a good thing they moved thos boxes off the landing.
It's going to be one big bash tonight, he says. What was in them anyway?
Cameras from the agency, Ally covers.

Tony is on the phone. They've said everything that they have to say,
Tony says. Not by a longshot, Carla says. She wants to see him tonight.
He has plans tonight. He hangs up on her. Ally comes over. So, who was
that? Carla. Danny interrupts them. What do they want to hear? Tony
says that they are working tonight. Ally says the party is for him and
Alex. Danny says it's for her too. It's for everybody who stood by him.
Isn't that nice? Ally asks tony. Yeah, that's real nice, but...Tony
changes his mind..."That is real nice, Danny, thank you." It's the least
he can do, Danny says before yelling to the DJ to crank it up. Tony
guesses they can just start working tomorrow. Tony asks her to dance.
He dances? He's the dancing machine, Tony says, executing some retro
dance moves. Ally laughs. Maybe he's a little rusty, Tony admits. They
kiss. She thinks he's cute. So does he. Ally wants to know what Carla
wanted. Tony tells her not to worry about Carla tonight. She's history.

Ally doesn't like Carla calling. He made it very clear that she is out
of their lives. Danny comes over and asks Tony to get some extra ice
from the bar. Sure. He tells Ally to stay away from anything with gills
especially the DJ. Danny tells him to hurry back because there's
something coming up that he doesn't want him to miss.

Carla finds Tony in the hallway. Just the man she's looking for. Is she
deaf? He said he wants nothing to do with her. She doesn't care what
he told her. He's the one that set her up, isn't he?

Tony doesn't know what kind of trouble she's in, but it's her own doing.
He hasn't even thought of her since she convinced him that she didn't
poison ally. She's supposed to believe that? He doesn't care what she
believes. He starts down the stairs. She yells that the Feds are after
her and it's his fault. #1, nothing is his fault. #2, it's her problem.
She follows him downstairs. He's wrong. The FBI is going to take the
tape he made and it will bring down the entire Soleito family.

He says there's no way the Feds could know about the tape. Well, they
do, she says. If she goes down, she's taking his idiot brother and fool
of a father with her. Tony grabs her angrily. What is she talking
about? She tells him to let go of her. Ally appears at the top of the
stairs. They don't see her.

Storyline: Sydney pulls some strings--Sydney is in her penthouse. She
is on the phone with a Judge.

She was curious about the disciplinary committee with the bar association
Could he do that little favor for her? The attorney in question is
Jocelyn Roberts Brown.

Sydy will have her secretary call to arrange that dinner and thanks him
again. She hangs up and goes across the room. Maria walks in. She
thought Sydney was going to formal dinner party. Sydney decided to
cancel. Does Syd want her to say? No, she is looking forward to an
evening home alone. She'll be fine. Maria hates to leave her. She'll
be fine. Maria just worries, that's all. Sydney thanks her for
worrying before she leaves.

Sydney is reading. Her mind starts wandering to when she was in bed
with Danny. She hears the music start downstairs. The calls the club
to complain and finds out the it's coming from Danny's loft. She says
she'll take care of it.

Sydney walks into party as Danny is speaking. She stays in the back
of the room.

Storyline: Danny/Molly/Danny's Party (everything not already covered).

Molly walks in looking horrified. The DJ asks her if she has any
requests. He can play anything she wants, even strip poker. What is
he? If she gets on her knees, he looks a lot like Arnold Swartzeneggar.
Danny walks up behind her and kisses his cheek. She asks what's going
on. He'll tell her in a minute. How was the audition? A miracle
happened--she got the part! Danny picks her up and hugs her.

The stage manager stopped her as she was leaving. She was thought she
left something, but he said she got the part. She felt like screaming,
"I got the part! I got the part!" but she was totally cool. She starts
rehearsal next week. She is going to be a huge star, he says. There's
going to be a lot of night rehearsals, she hopes he doesn't mind. He's
so excited for her, he'd put up with anything. Anyway, who's throwing
this party? He is. By himself? Now they have two things to celebrate,
he says: his freedom and her big break. But a DJ is expensive. Where
did he get the money? He used the money he got from selling some of the
suits that Sydney gave him. He used some of it for the DJ and put the
rest away to take Molly out to a nice place.

Danny asks for everyone's attention. He gets on a box. he was going to
wait until Tony got back, but he guesses ice is harder to come by than
he thought. If he doesn't say this now, he'll lose his nerve. Everyone
there knows what kind of a jam he was in. It took being charged with
Murder 1 to see who his friends are--he says that he did have friends
for the first time in his life. This party is for them. Tony, Alex, and
Ally never stopped looking for who shot Jared chase. They won't stop.
Molly, his "close" friend, who had every reason to walk away from him,
but didn't, thank God. Instead, she visited him every day and kept his
spirits high and gave him hope. Then, there's his sister Joc. The prob-
lem with Joc is that she doesn't listen to what her client tells her.
Instead, she saves his butt no matter what it means to her. No guy in
the world ever had a better sister. Alex better treat her right or he's
coming after him. Alex has every intention of doing so. Danny continues
There's 1 more reason for this party. Aparently, there's some nut who's
going after the women in this building, doing some pretty sick stuff and
leaving little notes that say, "Happy Now." He wants to go on the record
as saying this psycho is going to be very sorry he went after Danny
Robert's friends and family. Thanks and party! Danny tells Joc private-
ly that she's incredible and he loves her very much. He hugs her. Danny
catches up with Ally and asks her where Tony is. She's going to find him

Well, that's it for today. Next weeks will slightly late. I will have
it done, but I will be in the process of moving and won't be able to use
my computer until Saturday or Sunday afternoon.
