Tuesday on "the city":

Sydney is on the phone in her apartment, talking to Seymore
(the CFO for Chase International?). She canot operate a
business with all these froozen assets. She wants him to
settle the estate NOW.

Danny is looking through the mail...bills, bills, and what
a surprise...more bills. He remembers Sydney saying she'd
like to bring him into the business. He dials, but there
is a knock on the door. It's a very happy Molly. She's
right on time, he says. Molly wants to go see a movie.
Danny offers to look in the paper. The phone rings. Molly
gets it. Hello? she says. Hello? We go to Sydney, who looks
at the phone, and hangs up. Molly hangs up and Danny asks
who it was. Maybe a wrong number, Molly says.

Zoey and Richard are basking in the afterglow. This kind
of exercise makes her famished, Zoey says. She has to build
up her energy for more. She rolls over and kisses him.

The very pregnant lady in the bar is screaming, something
in Spanish. Buck translates...she says this is all her
husband's fault. Tess says, well, yes. The lady says...
Buck translates...that next time, her husband can have
the baby. Tess says well, if it works out, have him call
her. Tess sends Buck out to boil some water or call the
husband, or something. Buck gets the phone number from
the lady as screams. Tess asks for Tequilla..No, not to
drink, but to disenfect. buck says good thinking. Tess
runs over to the band, screaming that they're having a
baby, can they play something calming? They play Mellon
Collie Baby...Come to me, my Mellon Collie Baby...Tess
tries to get the lady to do the birthing breathes.

Molly says she wants to see this movie, pointing to the
paper. Danny doesn't think they can make it in time if
they take the subway, adn then walk. They can take a cab,
Molly suggests. Danny says that's 10 dollars, and then
$17 for the movie, and the snacks. She wants to treat,
or they can go dutch, Molly says. He doesn't know when
he can treat her. He doesn't even know when he can pay
the rent on this place. She has an idea. She wants him
to sit down so they can talk.

Richard is calling for lots of food. Zoey adds to the
order. She asks how long it will take. 15 minutes, Richard
says. She thinks they can have another round before it
comes. The phone rings. She wants him to ignore it. What
if it's the store calling to confirm the order. Well, then
get it...get it NOW. Zoey says. It's Sydney, and Richard
is distracted by Zoey (she biting his ear, and sucking on
his fingers) as he talks to Sydney, who is complaining
about the estate and how long it takes to tie up all the
ends. Richard declines her invitation to come over. He
tells her he's tired and he's slurring his words he's so
tired. he's just gonna laze around. He hangs up adn Zoey
says it that what you call it? Lazing around? Well, what
did she want him to tell his mother? That he's having
fantastic sex and he never wants to stop?

Back at the bar, the band is still playing, Buck in on
the phone and he tells the husband (in what littel Spanish
he knows) to get over to the bar as soon as possible.
Someone comes over and Tess asks if he's a doctor. No,
he says, but he plays one on TV. (ed. note: the reception
was really bad...Who was that person?) The lady says this
is it. Tess says, Eric, strike it up. The band plays
"You must have been a beautiful baby." The baby is born.
Buck is behind Tess, both beaming.

Buck has the baby. It's a girl. Tess tells the lady it's
a nina. Buck says your dress. Well, baby, you may have
been born in a bar, Tess says, but your blanket is from a
really good store. The ambulance arrives. Looks like we
missed the party, the EMT says. Yes, Tess says, we opened
all the presents already. The husband shows up. He thanks
Buck and Tess. The EMTs say that everything looks good,
but they want to take them both to the hospital just to
be sure. Buck tells the husband it's a girl. He goes to
his wife, then comes back and tells them thanks again.
Buck suggest he call the baby Tess. No, the husband says
he named her already. Yes, his wife says, the Spanish
name for Miracle.

Molly suggests Danny go back to modeling. He's not
thrilled about the idea of standing like a statue. She
says then don't. He could do TV commercails or be an actor.
She thinks it would be wonderful, they could practice
scenes together.

As they enter Buck's place, Buck hopes Tess was kidding
about the dress. Nope, Tess says, as she sits down. That
was the one you were going to return? Well, Tess guesses
it's all hers now. Buck sasy his Tux looks like it's just
about had it, too. Buck congratulates her. She wants a
drink. All they have is beer. Great, Tess says. Buck says
she was so composed. She was scared, Tess says. Well, she
didn't show it, Buck says.

The doorbell rings. Zoey thinks it's the Mexican food.
She does a little Mexican Hat Dance, ending with and OLE! as
she opens the door. Oh. It's Sydney. She thought it was the
food. Obviously, Sydney says. He sounded so depressed on
the phone, Sydney says, she figured she'd come over and
cheer him up. Zoey, snuggling up to Richard, suggests that
Sydney needs someone special. Zoey knows a musician that
she thinks would be perfect for Sydney. Sydney says no
thanks. Zoey just wants everyone to be as happy as she is
right now. Sydney gets Richard to go get some champaign.
She turns to Zoey to talk to her.

Danny says when he was in jail, he did a lot of thinking
about who he was and what he wanted to be. And? Molly
prompts. No answers, Danny says. Just one thing, he
continues, he would never take his freedom for granted
again. He would only do things that excite him. No
acting or modeling, he concludes. What then? Molly asks.
Legal? Danny says, he wants to be successful. He wants to
be able to take her out to eat, to the movies, to where
ever she wants to go. He tells her that he had a meeting
with Sydney. He may get involved with Chase International.
Why?! Molly says, after all that Sydney did to him? Why
would you do this to yourself?

The food has arrived. Richard suggests that Sydney stay
for Mexican. Sydney says that she loves Mexican, if Zoey
doesn't think that she'd be in the way. Well....Zoey says.
Wait! Richard says, things have to change. You are the
two most important people in his life, and you better get
along. He reintroduces them. They're cordial. That's
better, Richard says, now let's eat.

Buck says this is far away from the Rainbow Room. She feels
closer to it then she ever has. Buck says something is
missing. He turns on the radio and they dance.
