Hi everyone!

Well, if Molly didn't look guilty before, she certainly did today.
Whether it's just to mislead us or not, I don't know, but her attitude
toward Danny definitely borders on obsessive. Here we go....

THE SEARCH FOR A MOTIVE
Location: Tony and Danny's apartment

*Alex is sitting at the desk, a phone book on his lap, talking on the
phone trying to arrange "something" to happen today. Tony walks in with
a box of groceries and starts talking to Alex, even though he's on the
phone. Tony has a new theory on the "Happy Now wacko". Alex asks Tony
to hold on a minute. "I'm sorry, are you on the phone?", Tony says
sarcastically. "No, I'm practicing morse code", Alex retorts. Alex
tries to go back to his call. Tony complains that Alex has been on the
phone for 2 hours. Alex just glares at Tony. Danny comes downstairs,
he's going to have a drink with a friend. Danny thanks Tony for
"hanging in there" for him. Ally appears in the open doorway, tells
Danny they're glad he's out of jail and hugs him. Danny asks Ally how
she is, he heard about her close call with the sushi. Now they both
have a new lease on life. Ally agrees and goes over to stand by Tony.
Ally tries to talk to Alex, but he's still on the phone.

*Alex is still on the phone. Tony tells Ally he doesn't know who Alex
is talking to, all he'll say is "It's personal". Ally got a clean bill
of health from Angie, all the poison's gone. She's lost her appetite
for sushi, though. "Well, you'd better never lose your appetite for
me", Tony tells her as they embrace and kiss. Alex finally gets off the
phone and joins them in the kitchen area, singing "Happy days are here
again...". Ally and Tony want to know who was on the phone, but he
changes the subject by telling them that Richard called. They're going
to look at Jared's secret room, Ally's to bring her camera. Tony hopes
to find a connection between Jared's death and Ally's poisoning. Alex
hopes they're getting close, especially since they had to take two
suspects off the list concerning Ally - Loren and Carla. "Carla, since
when is Carla in the clear???", Ally demands.

*Tony tells Ally about holding the gun on Carla. He's almost positive
that Carla had nothing to do with poisoning Ally. "Carla's not the kind
of person to give someone poison sushi, then keep her fingers crossed
and hope they eat it", Tony reasons. She'd be more direct. "Yeah, like
hiring a hit man and having us gunned down in a garage. That's pretty
direct, isn't it", Ally replies. Alex backs up Tony about Carla not
poisoning Ally. "Whatever", Ally says, obviously not totally convinced.

Tony found out at the police station that the Happy Now notes had no
fingerprints and the typeface could have come from a million different
computers. (I thought the following discussion of the motive might be
important, so here it is, pretty much word for word)
Alex: Let's attack this strictly from motive, see where that takes us.
Tony: Alright, we have the blood on Sydney's robe, Molly's dead
parakeet, Ally nearly gets poisoned to death...
Ally: Jared Chase is killed in the agency.
Alex: Well, just for the time being, let's put Jared Chase in a whole
separate box here for a second. (A coffin, perhaps:-))
Tony: I mean, I still think he's connected, you know, but him taking a
bullet, it doesn't fit with the Happy Now nutcase.
Alex: No, and if you take Jared out of the mix, just for a second, you
wind up with a couple of interesting common denominators.
Tony: Yeah, Ally, Sydney, Molly
Ally: All women.
Alex: Last time I looked.
Tony: Oh come on Alex, I think you're reaching. I mean their names all
end in "Y", is that a clue too?
Alex: Wow, they do.(sarcastically)
Tony: Alright, don't be a wise guy.
Alex: Look, We're obviously daling with a headcase here, right? Who's to
      say what logic they're using.
Tony: Alright, let's say that a part of the pattern is they're all
females, shat else do we have?
Alex: Alright, let's take the Happy Now note. How were you feeling the
night you were poisoned, I mean before you were poisoned (Alex
      asks Ally)
Ally: I was feeling great. You [Tony] had just given me you letter
      jacket, remember?
Molly had just come back from Seattle with the bird, which cheered her
up and Sydney's happy that Jared's dead. "Now Sydney's richer than the
Queen of England", comments Tony.
Alex: And all three of them lived in this same building
Ally: Being a woman, in this building, certainly wouldn't want to be
      happy.
Alex: (suddenly thinking of something) Oh, God!

*Ally tells Alex not to worry about Joc, she's not very happy right now.
The phone rings, it's Jocelyn, there's some guy at her door. All three
of them rush out. (See below)

MOLLY AND JOCELYN
Location: Molly, Jocelyn & Ally's apartment

*Molly is fielding all the calls from reporters - "No Comment". Jocelyn
reads a headline from the paper, "Sexy Sister Bares All For Brother".
Joc starts looking for the classifides, she needs a job, no law firms
will want to hire her. Molly say what Joc did took guts. Jocelyn
reminds Molly that she was willing to give Danny an alibi. Molly
replies that it was a stupid idea, the police wouldn't have believed
her. Now that everything's out in the open, Joc need to get her life
together and find a job. Molly hands Joc a note, someone from the Bar
Assoc. wants to set up a meeting with her. Joc will probably lose her
license. "Can things get any worse?" (Not a good idea to say this on a
soap!)

*Joc apologizes for being negative, she's not sure what they want, but
she knew what could happen. Molly says she's being very brave, Molly
would be "freaking out" if it was her. All that's imporant is that
Danny's free, Danny's very grateful to Joc. Molly says things between
her and Danny are just like they were before, "before Sydney and this
whole mess". Joc thanks Molly for visiting Danny at the jail, it really
kept Danny going. After Molly heard Joc's testimony, she realized how
hard it's been for Joc and Alex, but Molly saw them hugging in the
courtroom. "You guys are going to get back together again, aren't you?"
Joc doesn't know anything for sure right now.

*Since she met Alex and Joc, Molly has wished she had a relationship
like theirs - passionate, romantic, like one of those 1940's movies.
Joc laughs, she was just telling Alex what they lacked was a little
romance. She's had so many problems, she's afraid that Alex sees her as
a "little wounded animal" to take care of. Molly says that just because
he cares, doesn't mean they can't have a good time like her and Danny.
Molly woke up in the middle of the night last night and was just staring
at Danny. "He just looked so vulnerable...I fell in love with him all
over again." All Molly wants to do is "take care of him and never let
anything or anyone hurt him again". Joc suggests that might get
claustrophobic. That's why Molly left in the middle of the night, "to
make him, you know, really want me". You're not playing games, are you,
Joc wants to know. "I think I've really learned how to handle Danny,
I've got all these plans for us" Molly replies. Joc warns her that
Danny doesn't like other people making plans for him. Molly thinks he's
confused right now and she can help him. Joc suggests they take things
slow.

*Molly tells Joc not to worry, she's not crowding Danny. Molly is going
out now, she's got a meeting with the casting director of All My
Children. There's a knock on the door - Delivery for 5F. Molly pulls
out the pepper spray and yells for him to go away.

*The door starts to open, it's Ally, followed by two clowns with flowers
and balloons. Molly thinks they are for her from Danny, but it's really
Alex's surprise for Jocelyn. He shows Jocelyn the card. Alex
apologizes to Molly, who says it's fine, "Everybody here is happy in
love, what could be wrong with that." (Tony and Ally sit down) Tony
says now they know what the phone calls were about. Ally says, "They
really do deserve to be so HAPPY... I didn't mean that" (Shot of Molly
in her room looking at something in a big envelope) Alex is embarassed
at how his surprise turned out. Joc tells him she doesn't like clowns,
but she liked the note he sent. Molly leaves for her audition, envelope
in hand.

A NEW JOB FOR DANNY?
Location: Sydney's penthouse

*Danny arrives at the penthouse and Sydney offers him a drink. Danny
jokes that at least they don't have to worry about Jared barging in.
Sydney knows how tough the last few weeks have been, she feels
responsible for getting him involved. She can't change the past, but
she wants to help him in the future.

*Sydney appreciates the fact that Danny didn't say anything about
conspiring with Syd to kill Jared. Danny tells her it was no big deal.
Most men wouldn't have kept quiet, not to mention he was going to go to
trial for a murder he didn't commit to protect his sister. Sydney says
he's a hero in his sister's eyes, and in hers.

*Sydney missed him, but she couldn't visit him in jail. Danny was
thinking about her too, but they need to put the past behind them. He
needs to find a job. "What about the coffee bars", Sydney asks. "If I
never see another coffee bean in my life, it'll be too soon for me",
Danny tells her. Sydney would like to give him a job in her company,
she owes him one and she trust him. She thinks he'd be an asset to the
company, wouldn't he like to be a V.P. at Chase International?

*Danny doesn't think it's such a good idea for them to work together. He
doesn't want to complicate things between him and Molly. He lied to
Molly in the past, and Molly's got this "jealousy thing" about Sydney.
Why doesn't he sit down with Molly and explain it's just business,
Sydney suggests. Sydney walks him to the door. He agrees to think
about the job and leaves. Sydney says to herself, "We'll be seeing you
soon Danny".

(Question: Who does Sydney mean by "we" in the last sentence? Sounds
like she's conspiring with somebody, but who? Any thoughts?)

That's it for today. See you next Thursday!
