Hi everyone,

Due to unavoidable VCR problems, I'm substituting as updater for
Marguerite today. Here we go...

                                 The City Update
                              Monday July 29, 1996

ZOE AND RICHARD - at the TV studio

The letter that Zoe receives at the TV studio is from her mom. The
letter was found in the attic by the friend of her mom that she and
Richard visited a few months ago. The letter tells Zoe who her real
father is - it's NOT Nick. Her real father is mentioned in the letter.
He's only referred to by the letter L. He was charming, from Europe
and not faithful. Zoe's mother left him without telling him about Zoe.
Zoe doesn't want to find him, Nick was the only one who ever made her
feel part of a family. Zoe says she's not going to tell Nick that he's
not her father. When Richard objects, she tells him to mind his own
business, grabs him by the shirt, and pulls him down for a long kiss.

 DANNY'S ALIBI - Jocelyn's parent's apartment

Mr. Dwyer tells Jocelyn he saw Danny getting into the elevator in his
father's building the night Danny's father died. Mr. Dwyer can't
remember what time he saw Danny and he doesn't want to get involved and
testify, even if he remembers anything. Jocelyn pleads with him to
help Danny. Mr. Dwyer's flight left at 9:20 and the cab was blue, but
he can't remember the name of the cab company. Jocelyn gets a call
from Alex at her parent's apartment. She starts to tell him that she
knows why Danny lied, but they are interrupted when Tony rushes in
yelling for Alex to help Ally. Jocelyn calls 911 and rushes back to
 her apartment.

TROUBLE IN PARADISE - Angie and Jacob's apartment

Things are noticably strained between Angie and Jacob, apparently Jacob
all but suggested that Angie could be the one who killed Molly's bird
and she's definitely mad at him. Buck is at Jacob and Angie's
apartment making posters for Nick's upcoming concert. Tess comes in,
she's been looking, unsuccessfully, for a new apartment. Angie says to
her that maybe Angie's the one who should be looking for a new
 apartment.

DEATH BECOMES HER - Ally's apartment

Tony's bringing flowers and wine to Ally, but is stopped outside her
apartment by Alex. Tony tells Alex what Carla said, that she and Jared
were more than acquaintances.(Ally is shown lying on the floor of her
apartment, eyes open, completely still) Carla told Tony that she was
going to take over Chase Enterprises, but Jared died before he could
sign the contract. Tony doesn't believe her, he's going to dig deeper.
He's afraid, though, that Carla will bring Joey and Tony's dad down
with her if she falls. Tony has to protect the people he loves.

Tony goes across the hall to Ally's apartment and sees Ally lying on
the floor. He drops the wine, which shatters, and the flowers and
rushes to her side, shouting her name. Tony rushes to get Alex, who's
on the phone with Jocelyn. While Alex calls Angie, Tony feels for a
pulse. He can't find one and she's barely breathing. Alex finds the
note "Happy Now" and Angie, Tess and Buck rush in. Jacob comes in with
Angie's medical bag. Ally's not breathing according to Angie, but we
can hear Ally thinking "I am breathing, I just can't move. Help me,
 please God, help me."

Angie starts CPR. Tony says someone tried to poison Ally. Jocelyn
rushes in. Alex shows Jocelyn the note, they're going to have to tell
the cops what's been happening. The EMS crew comes in, but Angie says
she thinks it's too late, Ally's gone. Tony yells Nooooo! Angie
closes Ally's eyes, which we see from Ally's perspective, and we hear
Ally thinking, "Please, I'm not dead."

LOD: Angie to Jacob(who apparently suggested that maybe Angie killed
                     Molly's bird while sleepwalking)

"Oh, and if you get hungry later, I left a dead bird
in the freezer with a note - Hungry Now"

Well that's it for today. See you Thursday!
