On to Wednesday:

Tess is on the phone. She hangs up and tells Angie that
Jocelyn says that the police dropped the counterfeit
charges, but she has to repay the money she spent. Is
it a lot? Angie says. Not to someone with money, Tess
says. Angie says she didn't get much sleep, and Tess
may have noticed that Jacob didn't...he comes in and
he and Angie argue. Tess takes her coffee to go.

At the bar, Alex tells Jocelyn that he had a little
talk with Danny about where Danny was the night Jared
died. Did he tell him? Jocelyn asks. Tess comes into
the bar and talks to Buck about a singing job.

Sydney and Jackson are in Lauren's room. This is
Samuel's daughter, Jackson states. Jackson says hello
to her. Sydney says that Samuel would have liked that;
he used to talk to her. Jackson tells Lauren she is a
very pretty girl. Sydney tells Jack that she wants to
make sure that Lauren is taken care of, always. As the
executor of her will, she wanted him to know. Fine, he
understands, Jackson says, but why now? She tells him
that she thinks her life is in danger.

Jack wants her to tell him what's going on. Jack tries
to take Sydney outside the room. She's in a coma, Sydney
protests. It would make him fell more comfortable, Jack
says. Okay, Sydney says. She tells him about the blood
on the robe and the "Happy now?" note. Did she call the
police? Jackson asks. No, she has someone working on it
privately. It's not the same thing, Jackson says. She
doesn't want him worrying about her. After all that has
happened, and then someone broke into her house. All she
wants is to make sure someone takes care of Lauren.
Jackson leaves to call someone. Sydney protests, but he
leaves anyway.

Buck comes out from behind the bar, and he and Tess sit
down at the bar. Buck asks why she changed her mind. Tess
asks if he wants the answer the old Tess would give, or
the new Tess? What's the difference, Buck asks. Tess
flirts with Buck (as the "old" Tess) by taking his hand
(that *is* your hand, isn't it? she asks) and says she
turned him down the first time since she was so scared
to be so close to him, she wasn't sure if she could
control herself. And as the new Tess? Buck asks. I'm
broke and I need the money. Okay, you're hired. Buck says.
Great! Under one condition, he says. What? He wants to
hire the "old" Tess. She smiles.

Alex lies and says that Danny refused to tell him where
he was that night. He thinks they should drop it. Jocelyn
wants to know what really went down between Danny and
Alex last night.

Angie is upset that he didn't call or anything. Jacob
says that as the night was getting later and later, he
was getting madder and madder. She says that he should
have called and they could have talked about it. There
was nothing to talk about, Jacob says. They have a
problem.

Jacob and Angie argue. He yells that she is keeping
things from him. She yells that she is exhausted, she is
worried about going to sleep. She's afraid that she'll
do something like yesterday..What about YESTERDAY?
Jacob yells. She tells him that she was in the living
room yesterday and she had a knife, pointing at Tess,
and she would have hurt her. Did he notice that a
pillow is missing? She ripped it up looking for the
blood...the blood that is missing. She may have done
something with the blood, she might have killed Jared.
IS THAT HONEST AND OPEN ENOUGH FOR YOU? she yells. Why
didn't she tell him? Jacob yells.

Jackson gives Sydney two tickets to Paris. He got them
at a charity auction, and he had no use for them. She
doesn't want to leave, she thinks that she can handle
this. He thinks she needs to get away. They talk for a
little while. So, Jackson says, Paris for two?

Jocelyn thinks that Danny did not kill Jared, but she
wants to know where he was. Alex tries to talk her out
of worrying about the alibi. Tess comes over and wants
to talk about the repayment plan she has to give the
police. Tess leaves, and Alex remembers Danny telling
him that if this comes out, Jocelyn's career is over.
Jocelyn comes back. Alex tells her that maybe they
should concentrate on their strengths, like Mike being
dead, he was the only witness to Danny's motive. But,
Jocelyn says, they have his disposition. He was a
sleeze and she could have made his statement seem
worthless, but she can't cross exam him now.

(Then someone comes into the office and wants to
talk about WORK!)

Sydney declines Jackson's trip to Paris. He suggests
she come to Pine Valley; they have a new miniture golf
course and he knows a little French. She counter
offers with a trip to the little cafe at the corner,
and they can order cafe au lait. He agrees. She goes
in and tells Lauren that she has to leave, she'll be
back next week to visit. Sydney says she loves her.
Sydney leaves, and the camera zooms in on Lauren's
face. The picture wasn't stable, but I think she
opened her eyes again.
