Wednesday, in the City:

Alex, coming in late for work, says he was at the police
station, and he thinks that the police think they have an
open and shut case (regarding Danny's fingerprints on the
gun). Tony has to leave, he's meeting someone in the bar.
Tony leaves, without telling Alex who he's meeting. Danny
comes in and Alex asks if he killed Jared. Yes, Danny
says. Can he go now? Alex tells him it's not funny. Danny
says that today is judgement day, but not for him.

Meanwhile, in their apartment, Molly asks if Jocelyn wants
her to go to the funeral with her. No, their mother arranged
the funeral, it's family only. Molly asks if she thinks
Danny killed Jared. "Ally!" Jocelyn says, "How dare you ask
such a thing!" (ed. note, yes, she said Ally!). Molly
appologizes. Jocelyn calles her Ally again, and then tells
Molly that she is the best thing that ever happened to
Danny, and she should go to him, now.

Tony is meeting Ally at the bar. She asks how he is, and he
says fine. No. he says, that's a lie. He's not fine. He
pauses, and says he's sensational. She tells him to stop
doing that!

Tony says there was one part of last night that he hated.
She tells him she's not falling for that again. No, really,
he says. Leaving her, that was the part he hated. They kiss.
Ally says maybe it was good that they have roommates, what
with what's going on with Jocelyn. What? Tony says. Her
father died of a heart attack, Ally says. Gee, Tony says,
Danny didn't say anything. Tony says he's off to talk to
Joey. He thinks maybe this was a mob hit, in revenge for
the hit on Tony that Joey took instead. Ally suggests Tony
go to the top and talk to Uncle Guido.

Danny tells Alex that his father had a bad heart, in more
ways than one. Danny asks if Alex thinks that Danny killed
him. No, Alex says. (ed. note: I wasn't sure if the "him"
was a reference to Jared or Danny's father, and Danny told
Alex everything...I would doubt it...but maybe we're suppose
to believe that he did...) He tells Danny to talk to Jocelyn,
tell her everything. Alex says that he has some errands to
run. Danny tells him to leave Jocelyn alone, she has her own
problems. There is knock on the door at Jocelyn's apt. It's
Alex. Long time, no see, he says.

Jocelyn says she was just leaving. He knows; he knows about
her dad. Danny told him. he's sorry about her dad. He comes
in and she tells him that she has mixed feelings. He
understands. Molly leaves, telling Jocelyn that she's gonna
take Jocelyn's advice. Alex thinks that they left some
things up in the air. She thinks everything was clear. He
thinks that...she tells him this is not the time for this.
If there is anything that he can do, Alex starts. STOP THAT!
Jocelyn screams. When a crisis happens: her mother tries to
commit suicide, her father dies, he's there; then the crisis
passes, and he's gone. He's sorry. She just wants...just
wants... What does she want? Alex asks.

Molly appears at the Danny's door. He tells her she's sorry
for the things that he said. No, she's sorry. Jocelyn told
her about Danny's father. She knows that he wasn't close to
his father, but his passing away must still hurt. They talk
about why she went home. She says it was good. To remind
herself who she is, and they have themselves to rely on, but
if you find someone and you fall in love, that's great. And
if they break up, she won't fall apart. Well, she will, but
only for a little while. Danny says he was really sorry. He
was going through some bad times. Sounds like he still is,
Molly says...what with the cops thinking that he killed
Jared..and about him and...What? Danny prods. Molly says
only that they think...well, it doesn't matter...what did
or didn't happen...if he and Sydney were more than business
partners. Danny says she doesn't get it. Molly says, what?
Are the cops gonna arrest you?

Ally makes a credit card call to Paris...to Stephanie...to
Mrs. Curtis Alden.

Tony and Joey sit and talk. Joey thinks Tony is gonna grill
him about Jared again. They finally agree to talk. Tony sits
and asks if someone in the family killed Jared.

Jocelyn pulls away from Alex. He can't change the past, his
or hers, she says. But, he can help with the present. What
is he talking about? He knows Danny didn't do it. She says
she hired another PI to do the investigation. He knew he
wasn't her favorite person right now, but he thought she
respected his work. She knows it's gonna be hard to get
Danny off and she doesn't want any distractions. Is that
what he is? Alex asks, So, he says. He offers to...no,
she says, she needs to rely on herslef again. She used
to be good at that. She leaves.

Danny tells Molly that it's over; they are over.
Everything he touches turns bad. He wants her to stay
away from him. His sister doesn't think that, she's the
one that told her to come over. Danny says he has to get
to the funeral. She says shouldn't he have a tie? Yes,
Danny says, turning around. She helps him with it, and
tells him about a stuborn best friend she has. Seems
that this friend wouldn't let her help. Seems his father
died and he wouldn't even let her try to share his grief
and attend the funeral. Danny says sound like a jerk.
Yeah, Molly says, but she still cares about him. Figures,
Danny says. They leave together.

On the phone, we hear a one-sided conversation as Ally
tells Stephanie that she knows she was gonna send for
Tyler when she got settled, but it's even less than when
she started. She tells Steph there was a murder in the
building, but tells her that she'll give her all the
details in a letter. Yes, there's a guy, Ally says,
she'll expalin that in the letter. Tony? He's doing....
Ally pauses, and looks off into the distance...better
than she expected, she continues as she smiles.

Joey tells Tony he's crazy to think a Solieto would take
out Chase. Not directly, of course, Tony says. Tony says
he's trying to protect an innocent friend. Roberts? Joey
asks. Look, Tony says, if Joey's not gonna tell him, he'll
ask Uncle Guido. Ask me what, Guido says, coming up to
the table.
