Today on the city:

Jacob comes home and sees all the lights on. He thinks Angie
is awake, but he finds her asleep. Must be all that match
making, he says. He kisses her and tells her sweet dreams.
He turns out the lights. Angie's eyes open.

At the hospital, the policeman asks why, if Ally had the
blueprints, did they go back? Ally gets defensive and tells
the policeman that she's not the criminal. She didn't know
she was walking into a trap, or she would have gotten more
details. Alex suggests they put off the questions until
tomorrow. The policeman agess to that and says he wants to
talk to Anthony. Ally says he went to tell the family about
the shooting.

At the penthouse, Sydney is giving Jared a backrub. She's
never seen him this tense. She wants to know what happened.
Jared doesn't want to burden her. He says you trust people,
and they turn on you. He's got so much to worry about, he
had to delegate, but with that comes the responsibility
for their failure. The doorbell ringsringsringsringsringsrings
(like someone is leaning on the bell). Sydney says Who is it?
Tony Solito. Jared says, NO! Tony comes in and demands
Jared give him one good reason he shouldn't kill him right
here, right now!

Tony yells at Jared, while Sydney tries to find out what's
going on. Jared syas he never heard of Joey. Has no idea
who he is. Sydney gets Tony to be quiet, and she asks him
what exactly he thinks her husband did.

Back at the hospital, Alex thanks Jocelyn for calming Ally
down. He suggests that she go home and get some rest. She
doesn't think so. Alex has to leave to go track the
building inspector down. He'll be back soon. Jocelyn goes
to Ally and says that Ally may not have to look for a new
roommate. Did they have a fight? Ally asks. No, they're
just walking on egg shells. Everything is so polite.
Jocelyn says that this apartment hunting is not going well,
and his kids were suppose to come over for the 4th of July.
Ally says she knows that. Well, the plans changed. Seems
Alex thinks that an ex-hooker is probably nto a good role
model fo rthe kids. Ally says that they are all under a
lot of pressure. Alex has a lot to consider. The Solito
family comes into the hospital. Ally finds out that Tony
didn't go to them and tell them about the shooting. They
wonder if Tony got shot, too. No, he's okay. The mother
is relieved that Tony is okay. If Tony didn't go tell
them...Ally says...Then where the hell is he, Jocelyn
finishes.

At the penthouse, Tony tells the story about how Jared
has something hidden in the building, probably at the
Wilder agency. Jared jokes that he is keeping a couple
of hot models there. Unbelievable! Sydney says. You
don't believe a word he's saying, do you? Jared asks.
Sydney tells Tony that it's unbeleivable that he'd think
she would believe a word of his story. Did he really
think she would fall for this?

Angie gets up and grabs her car keys. Jacob tries to
talk to her. She has to go, she's waited too long
already. She has to tell the police about the rapist!
Jacob asks about this. Jared Chase is a rapist! Jacob
realizes she's sleepwalking. He wakes her up and Angie
denies that the rapist is Jared. She was sleepwalking,
Angie says, how can he take anything she says seriously?
Jacob says that he told her about a woman whose husband
raped her, and how the woman wouldn't report it, but
she thinks she has to. But he agrees with her, she has
to report it. If it happened once, it may happen again...
and then how will she feel about it then?

Tony says Jared's behind everything that happened in this
building: the bomb, the guy getting beaten up, the guy
in the rug with the bullet in his head. Jared says if he
was behind any of the things, a jury would put him away
for years, rightfully so...but what is his *motive*?

The Solito family is arguing about why Joey was shot.
His sister thinks Uncle Guito did it. The Dad says his
brother loves Joey like his own son. The sister says sure,
until he crosses Uncle Guito. Alex comes back and tells
Ally that the building inspector is gone. His desk is
cleared out and there is no secretary. So, Ally says,
this whole thing was a set up. Seems like it, Alex says.
And she led Tony right into the trap, Angie says. And it's
her fault that Joey got shot, she adds. Alex tells her
it's not her fault. Alex asks where Tony is. Ally doesn't
know. But, Alex says, he brought his family in, didn't he?
No, Ally says. Alex realizes that Tony is at Jared's.

Tony attacks Jared. Jared tells Sydney to call the police.
Sydney picks up the phone. She's smiling while she has
the phone to her ear.

Jared tells Tony he fully intends to press charges. Press
THIS, Tony says. He intends to find the evidense to tie
this to him! The police arrive. Jared says this mad man
came in and attacked him. Tony says Jared ordered a hit
on him. His brother is in the hospital right now! Sydney
tells the police it's as her husband says...Tony Solito
came in here with accusations. Solito? The policeman says
sounds familiar. They hand cuff him and read him his
rights.

Angie and Jacob talk. Jacob says he has to tell Tess,
she's been hanging around Jared. Angie agrees to tell
Tess about Jared. Angie says the sleepwalking is starting
to scare her. That's why she should see a doctor, Jacob
says.

Alex says they don't need a mob going into the penthouse.
As Alex, Ally, and Jocelyn head to the elevator, Tony and
the police come out. Ally asks what happened, why is he
in handcuffs? Tony says he went to see Jared Chase.
Jocelyn tells him not to say anything. Who are you?
the cop asks. Did they read you your rights? Jocelyn asks
Tony. Yes, Tony says. I'm his lawyer, she tells the
policemen. Come along. The police take Tony out. Ally,
Jocelyn and Alex stand near the elevator in shock.

Sydney has a ice pack on Jared's cheek. It doesn't look
too bad. Good thing the police showed up when they did.
Sydney offers to finish the back rub. No, Jared wants to
turn in. Sydney wonders where Tony got such a strange
idea about hidden treasure. Jared says no use trying
to figure him out. Just forget it. Jared leaves.
Sydney says she won't forget a word Mr. Solito said.
