FINDING FATHER LUKE
===================
Molly meets Zoey on the upper level of the City Bar. Zoey asks her to help
her find a priest. Molly looks a bit confused. Zoey claims they're doing a
re-enactment of something on Hotline, and they need an actor to play a priest.
Inconveniently, Richard wanders up at this point (to use the facilities), and
asks Molly if Zoey told her all about Father Luke. Zoey kicks Molly under
the table. Richard goes on to say that Father Luke is the person Zoey is
really in love with. Zoey tells him F.L. is flying out to New York to meet
him. Richard is skeptical that he would fly all the way from Australia, and
asks about the barn the good Father Luke was going to help rebuild before he
came. Zoey says there was a barn raising. Richard thinks she's full of it.
Zoey promises Luke will be there in a couple of days. Richard leaves. Molly
asks Zoey what's going on, and why she claims to be living the plot of "The
Thorn Birds." Zoey admits she needs a priest to help her break up with
Richard, and realizes that if Richard has read "Thorn Birds," she's dead.
Molly wonders why she wants to break up with Richard, since she's obviously
crazy about him, and he's so cute. Zoey says you wouldn't believe it. No
matter -- Molly thinks there's someone in her acting class that might be just
the ticket...

SYD'S SECRETS
=============
Malcolm shows up at the Penthouse looking for Jared, but he won't tell Sydney
why; he tells Syd he'll find Jared at work. Sydney tells him to enjoy her
office -- while he still can. Malcolm leaves, and Danny emerges from hiding
in the penthouse. Sydney reminds him that they need to be careful. Danny
says she sounded upset on the phone. Sydney is, but that doesn't stop smooth-
talkin' Danny from hitting her up again to try to get money out of Jared to
repay the $30K in loans. Sydney says she can't; Jared thinks there's some-
thing between them, and is jealous. If she writes a check to Danny, she
doesn't know what he'd do. Danny says he'll figure it out. Sydney says she
just needs time, until her divorce is final, then they're back in business.
She tells him to be careful. Danny leaves.

Sydney calls Angie, who is with Jacob at the bar, to ask about her test results.
Angie offers to come up. Her tests were all negative, but Angie thinks she
should have another AIDS test in a few months. Sydney thinks that's a good
idea, since who knows who Jared's been sleeping with. Angie tries again to
convince Syd to report the rape. Sydney promises she's dealing with it in
her own way. Angie isn't just concerned about Syd's mental health, but also
about others.  Syd promises Jared won't hurt anyone else.  Angie isn't so sure;
she asks if Sydney is aware of the time Jared has been spending with Tess.
Syd asks Angie if she is saying her husband is having an affair. Angie tells
her that Tess says it's just business -- but she has no idea what Jared is
capable of. Sydney appreciates Angie telling her, and promises to take care
of it. At this point they are at the door to the bar; Angie goes in, as Tess
comes out. Syd tells Tess they need to talk...

THE BUILDING, THE MOB, AND THE WRATH OF JARED CHASE
===================================================
Jared promises Tess she'll be in her new penthouse by July 4. In time to
see the fireworks, she comments. Jared thinks she can make her own fireworks.
Tess thinks she'd like his help with that...

Ally and Tony run into each other in the hall. Ally asks Tony how things went
with Joey. Tony hears someone coming down the stairs and starts coughing and
choking; it's Malcolm, coming from the penthouse. He doesn't recognize them
at first, but then stares at Ally as he flashes back to the "hooker" in the
red wig. Malcolm gets into the elevator; Tony and Ally go to her place. Ally
is scared he recognized them, but Tony doesn't think he did. Ally says she
messed up, and tells Tony about Malcolm coming to confront Jocelyn about setting
him up, and telling Alex about Jocelyn's past. Now no one knows where Alex is.
Tony consoles her that she meant to do the right thing (famous last words? -ed).
Ally asks about Joey. Tony says he's not talking, except that he did assure
Tony that Pauly deFranco really was a plumber. Ally thinks Joey must know
more, but Tony says Joey wants him to butt out. Ally is afraid Joey will rat
Tony out to Jared. Tony hypothesizes that Pauly was killed because of Jared
and the building. He looks around the apartment, and points out that there's
no visible plumbing; it must be hidden in the walls. Ally asks if Molly's
kooky theory about hidden treasure might be right? They remember that Danny
has the blueprints in his room, and go get them.  But there's something wrong;
there's no stamp from the building inspector, meaning that these plans might
not be final. They need to go look at the ones on file at City Hall. Tony
reasserts the need for caution -- whatever Pauly was doing got him whacked
by Jared Chase. Ally looks scared...

Meanwhile, Joey is meeting with Jared; he called, because he heard something
on the street about a guy who turned up dead, Pauly deFranco. Jared wonders
who Joey heard this from. Joey hedges, and says word gets around. Jared
doesn't buy it. Malcolm interrupts them, fresh from his run-in with Tony and
Ally. Joey says he just wanted to give Jared that info, and leaves. Malcolm
wonders what that was all about. A possible problem, says Jared. Malcolm
has a potential problem of his own, and its name is Tony Saleito. He tells
Jared about the missing papers, which are financial records, personal notes...
a paper trail, Jared interrupts, that could lead to me. Not directly, Malcolm
promises lamely. He thinks Tony took them while he was meeting with a girl...
Jared is pissed that Malcolm put him at risk to satisfy his libido. At least
now we know who we have to watch, Malcolm offers. Yes, says Jared, the same
person who got Joey asking about Pauly deFranco. Malcolm doesn't think Tony
can piece it together. Jared thinks that sounds like wishful thinking -- but
maybe Tony isn't as stupid as Malcolm, and Jared can't risk it. Malcolm asks
how Jared wants him to handle it.  Jared says he'll take care of it himself;
he tells Malcolm to lay low, and try to learn to stop bungling. Malcolm
leaves. Jared moves a chess piece, mutters about Tony, and angrily sweeps
all the white pieces onto the floor...

DANNY MAKES MONEY THE OLD FASHIONED WAY
=======================================
Angie and Jacob chat about Frank in the bar; he's excited, but Angie wishes
he wasn't so far away. Jacob promises to keep her from being lonely. Angie
gets distracted by the sight of Jared and Tess together. Jacob tries to
get her to talk about the rape case, but Angie reminds him she can't. Tess
comes up and tells Angie she has a call; it's Syd (see above). Tess asks
Jacob how Buck's date with the porn queen (:-)) went. Jacob tells her to
ask Buck. Tess says she's not interested. Jacob scoffs. Tess says she has
nothing to be jealous about. Who said you were jealous? asks Jacob. He
heads for the bar, where Danny is deep in thought after his conversation
with Syd (see above). Joey shows up after his talk with Jared, looking for
Tony. Danny smells opportunity, and accosts Joey; he asks for a name of
someone he can borrow money from. Joey asks if he knows what he'd be getting
into; if you don't pay, they don't just come after you, but your loved ones.
They both look up at Molly, talking to Zoey... but Danny says he's looking for
a loan, not a sermon. Joey gives him a name...

That's it for this week!
