Sydney is awaiting her "guest of honour". She makes a call to the bar
to find Nick, when he+s not there, she goes out.

Molly and Tony leave the table to get dessert, giving Ally and Danny a
chance to snipe at each other about not telling the other about the dinner.
He thinks she planned it to mess up his date with Molly, she thinks his
ego is a little too big. Tony and Molly return, Molly gushes about Danny
and Tony encourages her. Danny talks about opening a cafe a la the
Fashion Cafe in Rockefeller center. It would be in the modeling agency.
Molly likes the idea, Ally is nasty. Molly announces that she got a bit
part
on One Life to Live. (Thus breaking the continuity between ABC soaps
and The City even more - they should have used Fraternity Row, the soap
on OLTL). Tony is excited, that as soon as people see her on camera,
she+ll be a star! After they clean up, Ally and Tony leave. Tony asks if
Ally is okay with Danny dating, Ally says sure, they just play this game.
Tony says that Danny sure has changed - it+s great what a good woman
can do for a man. They go back in to retrieve Ally+s purse, Danny and
Molly are cuddled up.

Angie and Jacob arrive at a restaurant, with Angie complaining about being
dragged to dinner when she+s not hungry. The owner is thrilled to see
Jacob,
and Angie+s mood lightens a bit. Jacob talks about going there when he
was a kid. He used to play there, and the owner, Birdie, tells him he+ll
have to play for her again. Jacob plays their song. This puts them in a
romantic mood and they kiss and hug. Jacob asks Angie to marry him.

Nick arrives at the bar, his guitar has been sold from the pawn shop.
Sydney arrives talking about dinner, Nick is pissed off because he thinks
Sydney blew him off the night before to spend time with Jared after
telling him (Nick) that she wasn+t feeling well. Nick says he went to bring
her hot, buttered rum and he heard Jared talking. Syd brings him up to her
place to explain. She shows him a videotape of her and Jared. Instead of
feeling foolish, Nick acts even more like an ass and is mad because "Sydney
rather spend time with a videotape of Jared than him" Sydney verbally
slaps him upside the head and tells him to grow up - wait, that last line
was
what went through my head during the commercial break. She tries in vain
to explain that she wants Nick, not Jared, she was just listening to Jared
 to
help her feel his perspective on a problem. Nick is still angry, so Syd
admits that Jared has been dead for over a year.

Samuel is with Malcolm and Jared. Jared tells Samuel that he can
take his daughter and go. After Samuel leaves, Jared quells his protests
that Samuel is still a threat. Jared says now they have to deal with his
wife, who had the nerve to cover up his faked death. (Don+t you hate
it when you go to the trouble of faking your death only to have someone
cover it all up? - that was the gist of Jared+s thoughts). I don+t
know if Jared has been seen before, this is the first time I+ve seen him
and he reminds me of Kirk Douglas.
