Confident that Alexander's connections will easily boost him
to the top of the political heap, Grant hints to Cindy that
he's heading for the governor's mansion next. Though Sofia
swears she did nothing to encourage Matt's attentions, Nick
suggests that she search her heart carefully before she
claims she has no residual feelings for her old flame. Rachel
confronts her son, accusing him of conspiring with Nikos to
ruin Carl and gain control of Cory Publishing. Alexander
vanishes as Gary and Carl suddenly burst in on Felicia at
the Japanese restaurant. Afterwards, Felicia explains to an
exasperated Gary that she only met Nikos in order to say
goodbye. Ripping up Grant's "wedding present", Donna
icily warns the mayor that if he pulls another stunt like that
he'll have to deal with the granny from hell. Felicia urges
Carl to give up on his vendetta before Rachel loses another
husband. Meanwhile, Alexander keeps a close eye on his
archenemy via the magic of hidden cameras. Matt is puzzled
to receive an angry threat from Nick. Alexander phones
Grant from his private jet to say that he's returning to
Greece but will be in touch soon. Matt informs a startled
Sofia that he never wrote her any anonymous letters.
