Happy December, everyone! Here's the goings-on in Bay City for
12/12/95....

GARY'S APARTMENT

Gabe and Gary have a run-in in the hallway outside Gary's door. "You
look
like hell, Sinclair" says Gabe. Inside the apartment, Josie is waiting
for
Gary.

MATT AND DONNA'S APT.

Donna comes home all upset and looking for Matt: "Oh Matt, what have I
done
to us?" she laments...

MICHAEL'S FARM

Matt tells Michael that Donna told him (Matt) what really happened the
night
of the accident...

HARBOR CLUB

Cass confronts Cecile about her plans for Maggie. Rita asks Morgan to
find out
from John how he feels about being reinstated at the hospital.
Courtney

introduces Andrew and Morgan, and Morgan remembers Andrew as the guy
from the
hospital with the sprained wrist.

GARY'S APARTMENT

Josie tries to coax Gary into bed, but he shrugs her off. He asks her
to go,
but she refuses. Josie demands an explanation of why Gary is suddenly
breaking
it off. She challenges him to look her in the eye and say that he
doesn't want
her anymore. "I don't want you" he says, but it's obviously not
true....

MICHAEL'S FARM

Matt tells Michael that he doesn't have to protect Donna anymore. Matt
asks to
hear all about the "big fight" between Michael and Donna. Matt cannily
leads
Michael into a discussion of how he and Donna always fight about the
children,
and how that night they were fighting about Vicky. Mike promises that
it won't
happen again. "You are full of it!" Matt tells Michael. "I'm not
leaving

until I get the truth..."

HARBOR CLUB

The Grand Duchess finds Maggie suitable for her nephew Maximillian.
Cecile

tells Cass that Maggie will be happier marrying for money instead of
love,
otherwise she'll just get her heart broken chasing some romantic
fantasy.
Meanwhile, Andrew breaks the news to Morgan that he and Courtney are
engaged.

HARBOR CLUB

Rita comes up, and Courtney introduces her to Andrew. Rita asks Morgan
to

rethink her request about John, but his answer is still no -- he would
feel

like a disloyal sneak if he went along with it. Rita leaves. Andrew
invites
Morgan to join him and Courtney for dinner, but Morgan unsurprisingly
declines.

MICHAEL'S FARM

Matt says Donna is keeping secrets from him, and Michael says that's
just her

nature. The phone rings, and Michael picks up. It's Donna, being
frantic

and saying she's on her way over to get their stories straight.
Michael tries
to warn her that Matt is there, but she is oblivious to his hints and
hangs up.

COP SHOP

Gabe picks up the phone and calls somebody, it is unclear whom. "I
miss you
too" he says, "I'm stuck here in Bay City for the winter....I think I'm
having
a positive influence on some of the young cops here..."

GARY'S APARTMENT

Josie asks Gary what happened to all the plans they made. "They were

unrealistic" he says. "You said you loved me" Josie replies. "Was
that

unrealistic too?" Gary says "I'm sorry." She asks again what happened
in

Gabe's office, and what's in the file. Gary refuses to tell her.
"This is

for the best" he says...

MICHAEL'S FARM

Michael tells Matt he's obsessing, and should stop. "There's
absolutely

nothing to be jealous about" says Michael: "Go home!" Finally Matt
leaves.
Meanwhile Donna arrives and sneaks up onto the porch and overhears.
After
Matt is gone, Michael exasperatedly asks her what she's gone and done
now?

HARBOR CLUB

Frankie comes up to Cecile's table and introduces herself. Cass takes
Maggie
aside for a chat, and Frankie insists on staying at the table, much to
Cecile's
dismay. Having some fun, Frankie wonders aloud where Cecile happened
to meet
the Duchess -- at one of those charity barbecues on the Riviera, or
maybe the
time Cecile was dragged out of the Italian Embassy and wound up in
jail?

HARBOR CLUB

The Duchess is aghast. Frankie goes on to tell some more wild stories
about
Cecile.... Meanwhile, at another table, Cass asks Maggie how much she
knows

about Cecile's plans for her. Maggie thinks she's just going on a
"gigantic
blind date." Cass tells her that Cecile is receiving a commission for

arranging the marriage. Maggie basically tells Cass to mind his own
business,
and not to underestimate her. They both go back to the Cecile's table,
where
the Duchess pronounces Maggie as acceptable. Cecile is thrilled.

MICHAEL'S FARM

Donna vents to Michael about how Cecile told Matt all about how she saw
Donna
the night of the "accident." At her wit's end, Donna wonders if maybe
she
should tell Matt the truth. Michael asks her if she left her brain in
a jar
-- NO WAY will Matt want to hear that truth, nor would any other man in
his

place. Michael and Donna yell at each other awhile about how each is
only

thinking of him/herself. At yet another impasse, they run out of steam
and
Donna finally goes home.

COURTYARD

Morgan and Matt work off their aggression by playing an impromptu game
of

basketball.

DONNA AND MATT'S APT.

Matt comes home. Donna tells him that Cecile lied about her. Matt is

skeptical, and tells Donna that he wants to believe her, but he can't
think
of a single reason why he should.

GARY'S APARTMENT

Gary takes out a bottle of booze from the cupboard. There's a knock on
the

door -- it's Gabe. He comes in and sees the booze, and tells Gary that
he
doesn't want Gary slipping up "like you did in Clearview." Gary
remarks to
Gabe that he bets Gabe also has some things in his past of which he's
not
particularly proud. Gabe replies that it's not his job at issue here,
it's
Gary's. He orders Gary to speak to a crisis counselor at work.

COP SHOP

Josie chats a bit with Officer Tibbs, and then tells him that she can
cover
for him if he wants to go home early. Tibbs is grateful, and hightails
it out
of there. Josie looks around to make sure she's alone....

A WHOLE BUNCH OF DIFFERENT PLACES IN QUICK SUCCESSION (this last
sequence

was a montage set to music...)

Cass and Frankie share a dance at the Harbor Club, along with Courtney
and

Andrew; Morgan sits and broods on the basketball court; Michael paces
and
broods on his front porch; Donna and Matt lie side by side in bed
without

touching;  Gabe unpacks some Christmas decorations for his apartment;
Gary
takes a shower and broods; Josie, all alone in Gabe's office, digs up
Gary's
file. She peer through the window blinds to make sure no one is
coming....
