Marshall tells Felicia that he heard one of her tapes of the
"Misery
Chronicles" and knows that she was thinking of him while she was in
Walter's
attic. Just then, the doorbell rings and Cass arrives. Marshall
leaves.

Cass is there to console Felicia, all night if necessary. If he
wanted girl
talk, maybe he should have dressed up as Krystal again. They talk
about how
they overcame their problems because they had loved ones, but
Walter doesn't
as Felicia falls asleep, obviously as bored by her storyline as we
are.

Josie is sleeping when Ian enters the room. They miss each other.
She says
she needs to know what's going on with him. He tells her about
investigating
Evan for Ryan, even that Evan is suspected of counterfeiting. She
doesn't
believe him. A reporter calls telling her about the accident.
They leave for
the hospital.

Sharlene is with Evan as he wakes up calling for Amanda. He feels
guilty, as
does Rachel because she wished Evan dead. Suddenly, Rachel says
that
something is wrong with Amanda. Indeed, in the OR, her heart has
stopped.

Morgan tells John that if they defibrillate her, it could further
damage her
spinal cord. John says that's irrelevant -- right now, she's dead.
Too bad
they didn't leave her that way. During the operation, Morgan
freezes, but
John talks him through it. After it's over, John says it's OK, you
will be a
great doctor. Maybe, but I don't want him operating on me.

Trent arrives at the hospital, ordering Ryan to investigate foul
play -- that
car was perfect and Evan is a great driver, he insists. Spencer
shows up to
comfort Grant. Grant yells at Trent. Grant and Spencer go to the
cafeteria
where they reminisce about his childhood and Grant says how much he
misses his
mother. Spencer says that Amanda won't die. Too bad.

Carl asks Ryan what's up with the investigation. Ryan says the car
had no
brake fluid -- Carl wouldn't happen to know anything about that,
would he?

Carl says that Ryan should be a human being now, not a cop. Ryan
vows to get
to the bottom of it -- surprise, surprise. Is that his only line
lately?

Trent goes to see Evan. He tells Evan that this is great -- Carl
did this, he
will go to prison, Evan will be free. Evan yells at him. Trent
can't figure
out what's wrong. Josie shows up and comforts Ryan. Ian tells
Ryan that he
told Josie about the investigation. Ryan is not pleased. Josie
tells Ian
that she didn't tell Evan, but only because he was so upset. Josie
is still
cool to Ian.

John and Morgan tell Grant, Carl and Rachel that Amanda is not out
of the
woods. Grant and Rachel go to see her. Carl goes to see Evan.
Evan says,
"It was you, wasn't it? Are you happy now?" as Carl menacingly
removes his
scarf.
