Here is the update for Another World for Friday, November 4, 1994:

Vicky Develops Plan B
Felicia and Friends Celebrate - Felicia Shows Signs of PTSD
Evan is Unmasked

Cory Couple Reunited
Ito Takes a Drastic Step

Jake/Vicky

Vicky bursts in on Jake at home, and he tells her she's in big
trouble, Paulina is at Tops right now talking with Cass about
getting custody of Mark. She's livid at him for not being able to
keep Paulina more distant from Mark/Kirk by making their own baby.
Jake informs her that he doesn't get enough romantic time with
Paulina because she's bonding to Mark/Kirk - and getting pregnant
won't change that. [Interrupted here for news bulletin on Susan
Smith case in South Carolina.] Later, as Vicky finishes nursing
Kirk [what a gorgeous kid!], Jake gives her a reality check about
what happens when the truth comes out - Grant will slap her in
jail, Paulina will dump him, and Ryan's family loyalty to Grant and
his abhorrence of lying and cheating will keep her from ever
winning him back. Vicky admits she needs a new plan; she tells
Jake she's in the mood for a party, kisses Kirk goodbye and exits.

Paulina/Cass/Felicia/Frankie/Marshall/Ryan/Lorna; later Vicky

Felicia's friends and family are gathered for a private celebration
at Tops in honor of her release. While they wait for her to
arrive, Paulina meets with Cass about adopting "Mark." She tells
him how she found the baby in her car with a note, she doesn't
think the mother is coming back, so she wants to see if she can get
custody. Cass says he'll try to contact a judge tonight and see
what's possible. Felicia arrives to cheers, hugs & kisses. She
thanks everyone for not giving up the search, especially Marshall
for risking his life for her. The rest of the group disperses, and
Felicia gives Lorna an extra hug. Ryan asks if Felicia's hugs are
just for family or can he have one, too; then he asks Lorna out to
the balcony to talk. Lorna catches Felicia's concerned expression
and tells her to keep it to herself. Later [after interruption for
news bulletin on South Carolina murder case], apparently Felicia
announces she's going to write an article about her experience be!
ing kidnapped, she thinks it will

be good for her and also help boost sales of _Into the Fire._
Frankie and Marshall exchange dubious looks.

On the balcony, Ryan tells Lorna that he's not too happy with where
his other investigation is leading him. He's just returned from
D.C. and Brazil, and has evidence that Trent and Evan sent the
counterfeiting plate to Carl. Lorna wonders if Carl could end up
in jail for his original counterfeiting operation - and her, too,
since she was working for him at the time. He admits that he's
turned up dirt on Lorna and Carl before they went straight; he
offers to drop the case if she wants him to. She tells him to do
what feels right to him, whatever the consequences. He says give
him a couple of days to think it over, and then he'll let her know.

Vicky arrives at Tops, and stays in the background near the
elevator. She sees the end of Ryan and Lorna's heavy conversation
through the balcony doors, as well as their embrace at the end.
But she's also near enough to Cass and Paulina's table to hear
their conversation. Cass reports that he reached a judge, who said
the only way Paulina could get custody would be to call the police
and have the baby turned over to Child Welfare, then she and Jake
could register as potential foster parents - but no guarantees.
Paulina is disappointed that she can't be an instant mother, and
says she'll discuss it with Jake and let Cass know what she
decides. Felicia catches Vicky listening in, and asks sweetly if
she crashed the party to admire the view, or just to stir up
trouble. Vicky apologizes for intruding, but Felicia just starts
going on about how Vicky should write an article about being on the
run with her son - we shouldn't let these experiences defeat us,
she says. As she!
walks away, Vicky gives a funny l
ook in reaction to her strange demeanor.

Felicia approaches Cass and Paulina, and calls for a group hug.
Marshall and Frankie join them. Marshall: "I thought it took 20
years to become your friend." Felicia: "Yes, well, you sort of
took a short-cut through Walter's home-made bomb." She then
suggests to Cass that he write an article as Krystal Lake, about
his adventures in rescuing her. Cass: "Oh, I don't know, I think a
girl has to keep some secrets." Then she starts babbling about how
they should all write articles, even Marshall; her readers would
love to hear all about it. Marshall says he thinks she should take
a break from writing for a while, but she insists she's full of
great ideas. He gets her out to the balcony to settle her down,
but she keeps babbling about how her fantasies got her through her
ordeal; she imagined him as a swashbuckler, swinging in to rescue
her. Then she wonders if she should get a psychiatrist to help her
analyze her dreams for her article. She gets shakier and shakier,
can!
't find the words, and he finally
says it's time for her to stop talking and feel some of the trauma
she's been suppressing for so long. Let it go, give it up, he
tells her. She takes a breath, then bursts into tears and
collapses against his chest. He holds her as she cries; we'll
stand her for a little while, he says, and then I'll take you home.

Paulina/Vicky/Jake/Lorna/Ryan

Meanwhile, Paulina says her goodbyes and leaves Tops. Vicky, who
has kept out of sight, heads for the phone to call Jake. She tells
him Paulina's on hr way home to report on her meeting with Cass.
What do you expect me to do, Jake asks. Glad you asked, she says.
Jake: "Oh, great, here we go, folks - Wacky Plan #2." Vicky hangs
up when she sees Ryan and Lorna at the elevator. She intercepts
them, and tries to get Ryan to stay and buy her a Sombrero (coffee
flavored ice cream drink); but he says the bar is closed, besides
he and Lorna were just leaving - but he promises to call her.
They wait in awkward silence until the elevator arrives, then Lorna
says goodbye as she and Ryan exit. Vicky stands there somewhat
dejected, and Cass and Frankie approach. Frankie tries to cheer
her up, things will turn around. Vicky puts up a brave front and
maintains she's no charity case, she'll turn things around herself.

Jake/Paulina

Paulina swoops in, takes the baby out of Jake's arms and brushes
right by him. She sits nuzzling the child, and tells Jake she
consulted with Cass, and they have a lot to discuss. Yes, we do,
says Jake - I can't go on like this, I want you to give the baby
up.

Carl/Rachel

Carl is relieved to be reunited with Rachel at Loretta's shop. He
says he needs to hold her; they embrace, then she asks him about
"Evergreen." You must tell me everything, she insists. He admits
he set up Evergreen Holdings as a shell corporation years ago, and
kept the IRS in the dark by reporting income and paying taxes. You
didn't keep Even in the dark, she tells him - when you sold it,
guess who was buying? Damn him, snarls Carl. Rachel describes her
undercover work that led her to the Evergreen file, and she's
surprised when Carl is less than pleased at her success. Carl
flashes back to Evan's veiled threat against Rachel, and yells at
her for keeping him in the dark about her activities. Now you know
how it feels, she chides him grimly. He makes her understand that
she can't get Evan prosecuted for his illegal activities without
getting Carl indicted, as well as his past associates (like Lorna),
for his past crimes. Ryan's in the same bind, he says, Evan kno!
ws your hands are tied. Rachel de
duces that it's all because of her, part of Evan's plan to make
Rachel suffer for killing Evan's mother, Janice. She knows now
that Iris doesn't deserve to be in prison, it was Evan who tried to
have Carl killed and then framed Iris. She vows not to let him
damage her family or threaten their future anymore. For tonight,
let's just take care of each other, Carl says. Rachel snarls that
she doesn't often say this, but she'd gladly see Evan dead. Carl
agrees that, in his past life, he'd have considered drastic options
like having Evan rubbed out, but it's different now that he's with
Rachel. He predicts that Evan makes enemies everywhere he goes,
and one of them could very well make him pay. Then he assures her
he has no intention of letting Evan come between them. They kiss
and embrace, and agree it's time to go home.

Evan/Amanda/Grant

At the Harbor Club, Amanda asks Evan point blank if he's
responsible for the suggestive picture of them in the tabloid.
She's furious when he suggests that the photo didn't cause her
problems with Grant, the problem is that Grant doesn't believe in
her. He swears he had nothing to do with the tabloid smear - he
thought about it, he says, but their new reconciliation was going
so well, he couldn't go through with it. She apologizes for
doubting him, and says she's hopeful of their good working
relationship and new friendship. Evan offers to explain everything
to Grant, and says he has some ideas on how to squash the negative
publicity. She thanks him gratefully. He leaves; Grant appears,
and Amanda explains she just confronted Evan and she's convinced
he's innocent. You believe that, he says, and you are a blind
fool. She continues to defend Evan's innocence. Grant berates her
for taking Evan's word over his; Amanda suggests Grant is just too
angry and paranoid to be!
 objective. Then Grant produces M
r. Hall, the photographer from New York - recognize him? he asks.
He starts to interrogate Hall, but Amanda takes over. He confesses
that Evan paid him big bucks to take the picture and make sure it
was on the cover of this morning's tabloid. Grant warns him to
stay away from his fiancee and their kids from now on, and Hall
slinks away. Amanda is in tears with humiliation - she begs Grant
to forgive her for buying Evan's lies and doubting Grant, and
agrees with his advice that it would be a good idea to fire Evan
and dump the Arlington Agency. He offers to drive her home, but
she wants to walk so she can figure out what to say when she
confronts Evan.

Later, at Iris's place (oops, I mean, Evan's new bachelor pad),
Evan is on the phone to Trent. He reports on his confrontation
with Carl in New York, how rattled Carl got when Evan appeared to
threaten Rachel. Then he tells him to kill the publicity fallout
from the tabloid photo. He hears the elevator and hangs up.
Amanda enters, and Evan's delight fades when she scoffs at his
denials and reveals she talked with his hired photographer. You'll
never lie to me again, she snaps.

Meanwhile, a shadowy masked figure skillfully breaks into a car,
pops the hood, and fiddles with a hose. A puddle of brake fluid
begins to appear beneath the car. As the figure darts away, the
camera pans up to the nameplate above the parking space: Evan
Frame.

Carl/Rachel/Ito

Carl and Rachel return to the Cory mansion, happy to be home safe
together. They embrace and kiss again, and Rachel goes upstairs to
check on Alli while Carl locks up. He catches sight of that same
shadowy figure on the terrace. He switches off the light and
approaches the terrace door with a fireplace poker. The figure
pulls off his ski mask and reveals it's Ito. Carl ushers him in
with surprise, why didn't you use the front door? Ito
congratulates Carl on returning safely with Rachel, and says he's
done something he hopes will add to his happiness - he's taken care
of Evan Frame. Carl is appalled - Oh, Ito, he says, burying his
face in his hands, what have you done?

Evan/Amanda

Evan whimpers that he never meant to lie to Amanda, but he had come
back to Bay City because he had honestly convinced himself that she
regretted choosing Sam over him, that she had never gotten over him
and he could get her back. he got scared when he saw how happy she
was with Grant. She yells back that she was a fool to think they
could ever be friends, she let herself down and could have lost
Grant; Grant would never betray me like you did. He offers to call
Grant and explain his treachery, but Amanda rips the phone out of
his hands and says Grant had wanted to come here himself and tell
Evan to stay out of their lives. She heads for the elevator to
leave, but he stops her and urges her to sit down and cool off
first. When she refuses, he grabs her purse and won't give it back
until she agrees to let him drive her home. They get in the
elevator together, and go down to the garage. As they approach his
car, Evan apologizes for hurting Amanda, it was the last thing !
he wanted to do. He helps her int
o the car, as the brake line continues to drain. Amanda turns her
head away from Evan in disgust and looks out the window, as Evan
starts the car and starts to drive away. FREEZE FRAME.

With all the best in non-stop Bay City action, this is The Other
