UPDATE for Monday, October 30, 1995.

Not a monumental day in Bay City, but interesting. Gary's worried

about Josie, the ex-hooker, going undercover as a hooker. Felicia is

naming her grandchildren because Gabe's got Lorna's number, and a

brief of her briefs. Grant's alibi has turned up face-down. Maggie

gets a surprise. Tomas has all the answers--and he's not happy about

it. Steven is giving Vicky trouble and Kirkland raises a fuss.

Sassy's: Nick is not enjoying his work at Sassy's. Felicia and Lorna

get ripped off, and Nick chases after the thief, dropping whole tray

of dishes. He doesn't catch the bandit, and Lorna behaves like an

ingrate. Felicia thanks him, and Lorna apologizes. The bar tender

gives him trouble...and Nick gets in his face. Finally they cool off

[what in hell was that scene for?] and Nick starts working again.

Police Station: Gabe asks Gary about Josie's whereabouts. She's

still on the undercover case, Gary says. An officer suggests that he's

taking Josie's assignment a little too personally. He's worried about

her because she's a rookie, he says. Officer Reavis(?) tells him he's

probably worried for nothing. He says his reputation is at stake...he

trained Josie.
Lorna arrives and starts heaping disrespect on the cops for

eating donuts while crooks run the streets. Gabe comes out of his

office and she sees him. He sees her. [SCHWIIIIINNNGGGG...I think we

have our answer regarding Gabe's love interest]. Lorna continues being

really bitchy with him, and he takes her into his office. [Gee, the

police CAPTAIN handling a purse-snatching ... what a guy!]. Gary and

Felicia chat. Josie comes in and Gary is relieved that she is safe.

Josie tells him she'll be back on the docks overnight. He's still

worried.

Lorna tells Gabe what was in her purse. She starts listing

stuff, including "Racy Red" lipstick. Gabe is amused. Lorna smirks.

Her driver's license, her bank card, work ID...and a picture that came

with the wallet. Gabe is trying not to laugh. Felicia comes in and

immediately seizes upon the potential pairing of Lorna and Gabe. What

else was in the wallet? Couple of credit cards...fourteen. Felicia and

Gabe are astonished, and Felicia is about to lecture Lorna on money

management but Gabe wants to know what was in the shopping bag.
Satin sheets and some 'naughty nightwear'. Gabe begins to

look "anxious". Describe them, he says, wide eyed. Champagne silk

camisole, black lace teddy. Gabe chokes out "Um...black..." Felicia

leans over and says..."LACE." [God love her, she's man-catching for

Lorna again.] Lorna and Gabe continue to trade snippy little cutsies,

and Felicia just smiles between them. They leave.

Felicia and Josie chat. Josie says they're okay, and John is

taking the rap for Ben's death. And Sharlene is totally cool about it.

John is wonderful, there is no one like him, Josie says. [I think

Felicia was drooling here]

Gary and Josie talk. Gary says he wants Josie to give up the

undercover assignment, she refuses. They are sharing a sneaky kiss

when Cap'n Gabe walks in.

Vicky's: Steven is being obnoxious. Vicky can't handle him very well

and he says he wishes she was dead like Ryan. She tries to get Steven

to talk, but Grant arrives to visit with Kirkland. Grant and Vicky

chat...Steven is misbehaving again, he is playing with Ryan's

autographed baseball and he won't give it up. He tells Vicky to shut

up. Grant takes the kid and tells him to never speak to his mother

like that. He does what Grant says immediately. Grant says they could

use a little help, Vicky says they only need Ryan (Grant looks

guilty, as usual). Vicky tells Grant that Steven is just 'acting out'

and that she'll try to deal with it. She doesn't know how to tell the

boys who is to blame. No one is to blame, Grant says, but Vicky says

Justine is to blame, and so is he to a certain extent. Grant says

he'll always regret what happened because of his loyalty to Justine.

After Grant leaves, Vicky tells Steven she loves him.

Cory Manse: Maggie's party is in full swing [zzzzz]. She tells Pam

that she can have Nick if she wants him. Maggie is planning on an

all-nighter, and so is Pam, although not with Maggie. Pam meets Nick

on the balcony. Inside, Maggie brags that she and Tomas are getting

back together...she got Tomas the answers to the EMT exam, and he

doesn't even know it. [uh oh] Maggie notices that Pam is missing, and

finds her and Nick sucking face on the terrace. Pam says "Maggie, what

are you doing here?" [A- DUH A-DUH A-DUH? Boy, this is dreadful.]

Maggie tells Pam and the girls to get out. They do, but not before

they hear Maggie playing the old fake pizza order trick on Pam. [jeez

I'm hurling here]. Later, Maggie is writing in her diary, that Tomas

will love her again when he realizes that she boosted the test answers

for him. [crikey, Maggie is thinking to herself just like they do on

DrOOL. Why doesn't this surprise me?] The doorbell rings and Maggie

thinks it's Tomas, but no, [drumroll, please....] its Cecile.

Exam room: Tomas arrives to write his exam. The teacher passes out the

test. Tomas begins read, and he realizes that the answers Maggie gave

him are the genuine test answers. He is NOT pleased. Tsk tsk tsk.

[wanna bet upright uptight St. Tomas turns himself in?]

Sassy's: Lorna & Felicia are back. Grant and Gabe are having a drink

together at the next table [quelle surprise]. Felicia is pushing, but

Lorna says she doesn't want to think about what Grant is telling Gabe

about her.

Grant tells Gabe that his engagement to Lorna ended badly, it

was a mistake. He says he doesn't make a habit of hanging out picking

up hookers. Just then, Josie arrives to tell Gabe that they found Ruby

dead. It appears that Ruby is Grant's alibi hooker. [Hmmm--this is an

odd twist, to be sure.]

Vicky's: Vicky tells Steven a fairy tale about a knight who fights

evil and brings home chocolate ice-cream. He loved the Princess very

much, she says. One day he came up against a wicked witch who put the

princess in a dungeon. He rescued the Princess, and made the witch

very angry and she killed the knight. The whole kingdom was very sad.

The wicked witch just disappeared in a puff of smoke.

[Cue the nuns...]

Convent: A nun has given a pen to the mystery patient. The patient

spells out: Bay City. [That train must have knocked her right out of

state.]

Vicky's: Vicky tells Steven that the Princess in the fairy tale has

vowed to hunt the wicked witch down, if it takes her the rest of her

life. [FREEZE FRAME]
