Sorry for the abbreviated update, I had a really crazy day Tuesday.
Nearly
as I can remember, here is what happened:

Josie/Gary

Josie and Gary are still sneaking around on the docks to be together;
they

agonize over what a close call they had when a fellow officer almost
spotted
them in a clinch. They talk about wanting to be together, and plan to
go

away for a couple of days. Josie wants to take a whole week off, but
Gary says
if they both take that much time off at the same time, people will
notice.
A little later, a drunk wanders by, singing to himself, and Gary tells
him to
sober up and go home. The drunk says he wouldn't be out there if he
had a home
to go to. After he passes by, Gary tells Josie he sees that drunk and
imagines
how he could have ended up.

John/Sharlene/Lorna/Felicia

Lorna and Felicia are having lunch at Sassy's. Lorna is telling her
mother how
she is so immersed in her work that she (Lorna) doesn't have any time
for a

social life, and she likes it that way. Felicia says she has an idea
for a new
novel, one with a sadder ending than most of her books. Meanwhile,
John tells
Sharlene he would like to take her out to eat, but when they come into
Sassy's

and he sees Felicia, he wants to leave. Too late -- Sharlene spots
Felicia and
they come over and all sit together. They make small talk; Sharlene
tells

them all how she enjoys the predictable rhythm of life on the farm, and
Lorna

says that she is the total opposite -- she much prefers the city,
muggers and
all. There is unspoken tension between John and Felicia all the while.

Carl/Rachel/Grant/Matt

At the Cory/Hutchins mansion, Matt tells the whole group that Amanda
told him

on the phone that she never owned a gun. They figure that someone else
must
have purchased it in her name. Grant is having his usual freak-out
attacks of
guilt, and not hiding his distress very well. Everyone thinks he is
overcome

with the grief of Ryan's passing, and they all show him sympathy. Carl

approaches Grant asking him to help him uncover the truth about Ryan's
death.
Grant tries to fend him off, muttering he must leave now and go home.
Carl and
Rachel insist that Grant stay, but he manages to beat a hasty retreat.
Later,
when they are finally alone, Carl builds a house of cards while he
explains to
Rachel that he must proceed just as carefully building a theory that
explains

the missing pieces of Ryan's death.

Gary/Felicia

After leaving Sassy's, Felicia goes to the docks. Just as she gets
there, she
catches sight of Josie and Gary kissing. Josie leaves soon after, and
Felicia
steps forth and tells Gary what she saw. He immediately expects her to
go into
a "sponsor from hell" routine and chastise him for getting involved so
soon,

but to his surprise she is understanding and non-judgemental. He tells
her how

thankful he is for her reaction. She says if he really loves Josie, he
should
go for it, because that is the most important thing of all.

Josie/Sharlene

Back home, Josie calls some little retreat and books a room for herself
and

Gary. When Sharlene comes into the room, Josie ends up telling her all
about

the relationship, except for mentioning Gary's name. Sharlene tells
her she

hopes Josie knows what she is doing, jeopardizing her career like this.

Grant/Gabe

Grant goes to the cop shop to visit Gabe and demand Gabe tell him if
the

investigation into Ryan's death is closed or not. Gabe tells him he
cannot

reveal that info; Grant begs him, for the sake of his peace of mind,
to tell
him if they have any proof that his mother murdered his brother. The
phone
rings, and while Gabe answers it, Grant finds the folder on his desk
with the

photo of the tire tracks made by his car. After he leaves the station,
he is
driving to Chicago and talking on the car phone to an automotive shop
there,

telling them if they do a rush job on replacing his tires, he will pay
them

double.

Carl/Ryan's ghost, sort of...

Carl has fallen asleep on the sofa in the living room and is dreaming
about
Ryan. In the dream, Ryan's ghost tells him that he (Carl) has looked
evil

in the face and must be the one to discover the truth. Ryan tells Carl
to

look for the one who would not be his brother's keeper, and ends with
the words
"Remember me, remember me....." Carl wakes up and in a burst of
insight says

"Grant!!"
