With Kirkland well on the mend, Vicky and Jake resume
negotiations about their wedding but the pleasant discussion
is marred by the arrival of a process server. Grant fears that
his chances for grabbing the mayor's seat may have been
endangered by Rusty's confession. Meanwhile, Lila sees
red when she discovers that her attorney disobeyed her
directives and is contesting the divorce. Stunned to receive
a subpoena from Grant, Shane sheepishly admits to Tyrone
how he and his ex shared one last night together on the eve
of their island divorce. Lila furiously accuses Grant of using
her for his own evil devices. Amanda quietly fills her brother
in on recent events in the Corey/Hutchins household. Later,
Matt tells a delighted Rachel he'd like to return to a position
in the family's publishing empire and make up for his past
mistakes. Felicia is taken aback to learn that her fiance
owns the company which just picked up her publishing
contract. Guessing that Grant has dragged her into the
Roberts' divorce in order to keep her from leaving town
with Kirkland, Vicky decides to call her ex-husband's bluff.
Amanda introduces Matthew to "Hadley". Dana explains to
Tyrone how Josie and Toni's report on Rayburn's arrest is
riddled with holes and unanswered questions. Shane orders
Lila to put things right before they're both dragged through
the mud of the legal system.
