Amanda agrees to rendezvous with Alexander aboard
his private jet. As they wing their way towards
Washington, Alexander shows his guest a dossier he's
compiled on Carl's business and sexual escapades. At
the hospital for a check-up, a beaming Josie tells
Shane how much she's looking forward to being a mom.
Cass explains to his client that accepting a plea
bargain will earn him a shorter jail term but is a
definite admission of guilt. Meanwhile, at the
church, Sofia mournfully confides to Father Gordon
how she's lost her faith in the man she loves. Nick
signs the plea agreement but is haunted by memories
of how both Michael and Sofia urged him not to give
up the fight. Declaring that he's changed his mind,
Nick then rips up the document and informs Cass he's
determined to prove his innocence. Tyrone's doubts
about the accuracy of Toni's story double after he
learns that Nick is severely allergic to gin's main
ingredient. Alexander suggests to Amanda that the
best way to get rid of her stepfather is to convince
Rachel that Carl has been unfaithful. Buoyed by a
piece of advice from her priest, Sofia returns to
the courthouse and takes the witness stand to
testify on Nick's behalf. Concerned about Paulina's
skyrocketing blood pressure, Shane entreats his
friend not to endanger her life for the sake of
losing a few pounds. Later, Paulina pours the rest
of her diet pills down the drain.
