Here is your update for Friday, August 2:

Vicky's house, interior: Jake and Vicky carry boxes into the house.

Jake drops a box of Ryan's stuff (comendations, awards, trophies, etc.)

Jake asks if Vicky wants them in the attic. Vicky wants them to stay

downstairs. Jake is obviously distressed, but he says he is happy for

Vicky, that she has finally got the place she wanted. Vicky comments

on how lucky she is and attributes it to the necklace Lorna gave her.

Vicky's house, exterior: The stalker walks up to Vicky's house

and watches her and Jake through the open front door.

BCGH, the chapel: Maggie watches and Michael and Nick talk. Michael

says he doesn't want the same history between the two of them to happen

to Nick and his child. Nick says he can't think about Maggie cause nothing

matters if Sofia dies. Maggie looks hurt.

BCGH, ICU: Sofia opens her eyes. Matt is overjoyed to see her wake up.

John comes in and checks her out. Joe bursts in, happy to see that Sofia

is awake. John tells Matt he doesn't know what Matt did, but Matt brought

her back. Matt goes outside. Sofia asks Joe what happened. John tells

him it is OK to tell her and leaves. Joe explains to Sofia that she was in

an accident, but that she is OK now. He tells her they--Joe, Tony, Pop,

Paulina and Dante--were praying for her. Tony comes in and sees that

Sofia is awake. He says she scared them. They tell her to rest and they

will talk about her later.

BCGH: Nurses' station: John tells Matt he was worried about Sofia being

in a coma. But now that she is awake, she is OK, right, Matt asks? Matt

says he just told her everyone wanted her to get better. John comments that

Sofia must have felt it was time to come back to them.

BCGH, ICU: John returns to Sofia's room and asks how she is. Joe asks

Tony to call Italy and tell Paulina and Pop that Sofia woke up. Sofia asks

where Nick is. Joe and John exchange glances. Joe tells her not to worry

about Nick. She tells Joe they were supposed to get married and asks

over and over again where Nick is. Joe tries to hush her.

BCGH, the chapel: Nick tells Michael he is sorry to unload on him, but

he feels helpless cause he can't do anything for Sofia and he feels it is his

fault. Nick tells how he came to be with Maggie: he and Michael had an

argument about Michael and Sharlene sleeping together, and Nick went out

to the barn. He and Sofia were having problems with Joe. Nick says he

should have said no, but he was angry and upset. Michael blames himself,

because he hasn't set a good example, but Nick tells him not to: Nick should

have walked away and say no, but he couldn't do it. It didn't even feel good,

he felt guilty afterwards, he says. Michael insists Maggie shares in the

responsibility. Nick says he has to find out what is going on with Sofia.

Maggie comes in and Nick asks about Sofia. Maggie says there was

no change, but that when she was in with Sofia, Maggie felt Sofia could feel

her presence and that Maggie thinks Sofia could forgive both of them, so that

they should forgive each other too. Nick walks out. Michael stares at Maggie.

Vicky's house, interior: Jake tells Vicky the upstairs is in not too good shape,

but Vicky says it will be fine, that she needs to be here. Vicky tells Jake that

he can go off and be with Babs now that Vicky doesn't need a real estate

agent. Jake insists if he needs privacy, they will go to her place. Vicky digs

for details. Jake changes the subject, he wants to make sure she and the boys

are settled and safe. She assures him they are. There is a knock at the door.

My first company, Vicky proclaims. What does that make me, Jake asks?

Family! Vicky replies. She opens the door and finds Chris there; he is looking
for

Jake. Chris says that he has been looking for Jake all day cause there is no

one to OK the front page. Chris is ticked off. Jake asks where Matt is.

Chris doesn't know, he went AWOL, just like Jake. And to make matters
worse,

one of the advertisers is threatening to pull an ad cause Jake called the man's
wife.

Jake insists she is fat. Chris asks if Jake wants him to run The Herald while he
plays

house. Jake retorts that Chris is a writer, not a publisher. Chris insists he is a

professional, unlike Jake. They proceed to argue. Vicky kicks them both out of

his house. Outside, the two men leave. Then someone with brown slacks and
fancy

shoes steps onto Vicky's steps.

BCGH, ICU: Matt visits with Sofia. He tells her to concentrate on getting better,
that

he makes a point of being there for his friends. Outside, Joe watches. Nick
comes

over, and Joe tells him she came out of the coma. He is relieved. Joe tells
Nick she

is asking for him. Nick tries to explain what happened between him and
Maggie, but

Joe says he doesn't want to hear it, that seeing Sofia is more than he deserves.
Joe

asks Nick if he loves Sofia. Nick answers affirmatively. Joe says that is good,
cause

he needs to do something.

The Harbor Club: Jake calls the office and tells the guy there to go with the front

page as is and to send 10 pounds of chocolate to the wife of the guy who
threatened

to pull his ad. Chris asks what they are doing in the restaurant. Jake asks
about

Grant, and they sit down. Chris asks Jake what has happened to him, that he

used to be on the phone, pushing stories to the limit, but now he is never

around, and neither is Matt, and the people at The Herald are always siting
around

waiting for an OK to act. Jake says he has been busy. Chris says Vicky is an

attractive woman, but the paper is slipping. He repeats his offer to run the
paper.

He says he can call a few friends from Boston who write, expand the
international

section; he says he needs the freedom to write stories with merit. Jake asks if
he

is working on something; Chris says he is. Jake wants to hear about it, but
Chris

says Jake will hate it cause it is not outlandish enough. Jake insists he is not
going

to give up control of the paper. Chris says he has to delegate things. Chris also
informs

Jake that Vicky wants to be left alone. Jake says thanks to Chris, Vicky is at
home

alone, but that Vicky is going through a delicate thing and needs Jake there
right

now, but he isn't.

Vicky's house, interior: Vicky stares at her picture of Ryan. There is a

noise. Vicky looks over, then gets up. She take a hammer off the mantle.

She opens the door, ready to strike the assailant, and sees Grant on her porch.

Vicky asks what he is doing there and if he was sneaking around before,

cause Jake chased someone off the property and tore a very expensive shirt.

Grant insists he wasn't sneaking around the house. Grant says maybe

Jake assualted one of Vicky's neighbors. Vicky asks again what he is doing

there and how he knew Vicky was there. Grant says Jake was at Grant's

restaurant and shot off his mouth. Vicky accuses Grant of having her followed.

Grant insists he has every right to know where his son is living. Vicky invites

him to leave. Grant asks if Kirk is there cause the house does not seem very

safe. Vicky tells him Kirk is at Rachel's, but that he will be living at the house.

Grant asks to see him room, and when Vicky balks, Grant says he will get a

court order and inspect the premises, the choice is hers. Vicky tells him he

has 10 minutes. Outside, the stalker lurks. Inside, Grant wonders why Vicky

would want to live in this shabby little house, considering she could afford to
live

anywhere. Vicky says Bridget gave it to her. Outside, the stalker approaches

the door.

BCGH, the chapel: Maggie lights a candle. Michael comes in and asks Maggie

how she is. The girl answers she is worried about Sofia. Michael says Nick
told

him everything, and that Maggie must be very scared and upset to see Nick
with

Sofia, and he was hoping that whatever happens with Nick, that he hopes she

can stay close to the Hudsons. Maggie hugs him and says he is the only

one who is not looking at her like she is the enemy. Michael says that is

because he is the last person who should judge anyone and asks if he can do

anything for Maggie. She says she is OK for now, but Michael tells her that if

she needs anything, she should feel free to ask. She insists she can't impose

because it would anger Nick, but he says it is OK. Frankie stands in the
background.

Michael leaves. Frankie asks what that was all about. She says some of them
are

worried about Sofia and storms off.

BCGH, ICU: Sofia asks if Carl found someone to help him. Matt tells her not to

worry about that. Nick comes in, followed by Joe. Sofia reaches out her hand

to Nick and insists she is OK. He apologizes, but she says she acted badly.

She asks if it is still is their wedding day. John tells her to relax. Sofia says

she wants to talk to Nick, that she will stay calm. Joe says she needs to rest.

John says to give them a few minutes. John and Joe leave. Nick tells her how

beautiful she is, that she is beautiful no matter what. Sofia says she can't

remember what happened, but she had a feeling she lost him, perhaps cause

she almost died, but that she loves him and never wants to lose him again.

BCGH: Maggie stares in at them. She turns away and sees Matt. She is so

happy that Sofia is OK. Frankie asks Joe if Sofia is gonna be OK, and when

he says she is, Frankie hugs him and relates that she knows how he feels,

that she was so relieved when she found out Charlie would be OK. Joe says

he is happy, but he says it is like a train wreck in slow motion: you see it
coming,

but there is nothing he can do about it.

BCGH, ICU: Nick says he is sure that Joe has some feelings about them
wanting

to get married, but that she was hurt really bad and they weren't sure she would

make it, and Joe has been under a lot of stress. She insists that he is OK and

Joe should be happy. Sofia asks if he is lying to her, is she really OK. He says

she is OK, that the surgery was successful. She asks for her ring. He says he

has it. She asks him to put it back on her finger. He says he will leave it on the

table. She asks why he doesn't want her to wear it and asks what happened.
He

insists he doesn't want her to get her upset, that he will tell her some other time.

She asks if he still wants to marry her. He doesn't answer.

Vicky's house, exterior: The stalker pushes the door open, picks up a picture of
Jake

and Vicky, sets it down and picks up a hammer. He hears Grant and Vicky
arguing

about where they are going to send Kirk to school. The stalker hides in the
basement.

Vicky insists if they send Kirk to the school with the society people, the kids will

tear him apart when they find out who his father is--a man who murdered his
own

brother and had to give up his seat in the Senate. Grant insists that he has
paid for

his crimes. Vicky asks him to leave. Grant stares at her and says that they
haven't

been alone like this in a long time, so why don't they make the most of it. Vicky
asks

what he wants. Grant asks if the box of things belongs to Jake. She says no,
but if it

did, it is none of his business. Grant says he won't tolerate Kirk living with
Jake. Vicky

says Jake isn't living there. Grant says he will not tolerate a man and a woman
co-habitating.

She insists she isn't. Tell it to the judge, he says. Vicky says if Grant does,
she will tell

the judge that Grant was trespassing on her property. Grant says he doesn't
want Kirk near

Jake because he is a sleaze. Vicky tells him he has room to talk. Grant says
he paid for

his crimes in prison. She says she doesn't want to know, that he deserved far
worse for

killing Ryan. Grant says she doesn't know the meaning of the word love--the
only thing that

helped him survive in prison was thoughts of his son, planning for his future
and so forth.

Be careful what you do and who you are with, because I am watching you, he

warns. Grant leaves.

The Harbor Club: Jake asks why a woman who has everything would want to
live in a dump.

Chris asks if the person is someone he knows or just a hypothetical. Jake tells
him to use

his analyzing skills. Chris asks who is paying for it all, cause that is important
to a woman;

if she values her freedom, she might not lke someone setting her up. Jake
says the woman

doesn't need anyone or him to help her out. So basically, she wants one thing
and Jake
wants something else, Chris asks. She should be listening to me, Jake insists.
Chris

comments that now Jake knows how it feels: Chris is right about the paper and
his story,

and Jake is right about Vicky. Jake gives Chris the OK to go for it. Jake says
he likes

Chris' deep analysis. Pleased with what he has accomplished, Chris leaves to
get to

work. The waiter tells Jake Grant has stepped out and would like to leave a
message.

BCGH: Maggie sits down while Joe talks to Paulina on the phone. He insists
she

should stay in Italy until Pop gets better. He insists Sofia will be fine and that

Eddie can't fly with an infection. Joe says he is worried about will happen when

she remembers. He says bye and hangs up. Michael comes over to Joe and
tells

him that they are all glad Sofia is OK and that they have some things to work
out.

Joe says a few months back he went against his better judgement and gave
into Nick

for Sofia's sake, but that was a big mistake. He says he should have known
and never

let it happen. Michael says it doesn't sound like Joe could prevent it, from what
he could

see they were determined to be together. Joe insists that the relationship is
over.

Michael says it isn't Joe's place to decide for Michaels's family. Joe says it will
all

come back to her how Nick betrayed her with Maggie. Michael says that
remains to

be seen. Joe says he doesn't want Nick anywhere near Sofia, and if he knows
what is

good for Nick, Michael will do that.

BCGH, ICU: Sofia says she knows how she feels: she loves Nick and wants to
marry him

and she thought he felt the same way. Nick says there is nothing he wants
more than that,

that he loves her. She says that they will get married. Nick asks her to get
better and then

they will do whatever she wants. Joe comes in and tells Sofia she needs to get
some rest.

Nick agrees. Sofia tells Joe that Nick wants to ask permission to marry her,
that they

wanted to ask him, but Joe was busy and they didn't get the chance. She asks
if Joe is mad

at them. Joe replies he could never be mad at his bambina. She says he will
remind her of that

the next time he gets upset. She says Nick is right--she needs to get better, but
then they are

gonna get married and asks if Joe is happy for them. Joe says if she is happy,
he is happy

too. Nick looks away. Sofia looks up at Nick. Maggie watches through the
window.

Vicky's house, interior: Vicky sits clutching Ryan's badge. The stalker goes to
the fuse

box and unscrews a fuse, plunging the house into darkness.

BCGH, ICU: Maggie moves away from the window. Sofia says she and Nick
will be happy

for the rest of their lives, like Joe and Paulina. Joe says he couldn't wish for
anymore and

tells her to be careful. Joe leaves. Nick says he wants to let Sofia get some
rest.

Sofia tells him not to leave, that she has a feeling she shouldn't let him go.
Maggie bursts
in and says that she needs to talk to Sofia. Nick tries to stop her, saying
Maggie doesn't

understand. Maggie asks Sofia not to be mad at her and not to hate her. Sofia
calls out

to Nick and asks what he did. He tells her they can fix it. Sofia cries out no.
Nick looks

back to Maggie.
